“Our dog, Shelby just had her 1st stay with Myra and had a good time. I felt better knowing that she was getting some individual attention unlike at much larger kennels that she has stayed at in the past. She got to go on several long walks, which she loves. She also was able to interact with other dogs under Myra's careful observation, which was great for her social skills and keeping her mind off of us being gone. I really liked getting updates and pictures. Also, Myra was flexible with drop off and pick up times. “Rachel is AMAZING!! This was my first time boarding my pups (one with anxiety) and using Rover. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. 11/10 experience! We did a meet and greet ahead of time, which was super helpful. She has a wonderful setup! A nice, large, fenced-in yard for them to run around and play. The upper deck is perfect for my pups looking out over the yard and resting in the sun. Rachel is a fantastic communicator sending multiple updates, pics and videos throughout the day. With my permission, the dogs were allowed on the couch and provided lots of cuddles and she even slept in the spare room with them (just like home). For my pup with anxiety, she moved slow and gave her time to adjust and settle. My babies got all the play, love and attention they are used to (plus a little more) 😊😊 Also, Rachel was very flexible with me for drop-off and pickup as we were going out of town. I work 10 minutes away from my home. I have a set time to take my puppy out as he is still going through potty training My apartment is pretty open for the fur babies to room around and I have a small fur baby of my own that can play with! There is a big area of grass around my complex where they can go potty and play and a dog park right up the street.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for more than 30 years, starting with pet sitting for neighbors when I was in elementary school. While attending college in Raleigh, I expanded my pet sitting work and cared for multiple families with a wide range of pets and personalities. Before moving back to this area, I worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility, where I provided daily exercise, supervised play, administered medications—including insulin injections—and made sure each dog felt safe, comfortable, and cared for. My goal is simple: to give your pet dependable care, attention, and companionship while you’re away. Whether that means a walk, playtime, a midday potty break, or extra patience with senior pets, I treat every animal with the same kindness and attentiveness I’d want for my own. I work remotely, so my daytime schedule is flexible and easy to plan around. My weekly routine is generally very consistent, which means I know my availability well in advance and can provide dependable walks, drop-in visits, and midday care without last-minute surprises. Pet care fits naturally into my day—I’m able to step away for walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, or medication visits while still keeping a reliable schedule for both pets and their owners. At this time, I’m not able to offer boarding in my home, but I take caring for pets in their own environment seriously. When I’m in your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I would expect in my own. I always make sure doors are secure, water bowls are fresh, and pets are safe and comfortable before I leave. I also pay attention to small details—cleaning up any messes, checking that toys are safe, and moving anything that could pose a risk (for example, a torn stuffed toy that could be chewed apart). About: I have had pets since I was young. I pet sit for family members and friends regularly. My dog is my child and I treat other's pet the same way. I am currently working a full time job. During the week, I am available after 5pm. On Friday- Sun, I am available any time of the day. I make sure the pets have food and water. I like to walk the pets so they don't have built up energy. About: Hi! My name is Jade and I am an avid dog enthusiast and college student. I currently own a 1 year old Australian Shepherd and boy oh boy does he have energy. Before him I had another Aussie (female) who acquired cancer around 7-8years old, because of this I have sadly become very skilled with working with sick/hurting dogs. I also love to train dogs, my current Aussie has a Novice Trick Dog title from AKC and we are working on his intermediate title while learning Conformation skills and Therapy dog skills. I am very patient with the pups and am a big believer in positive reinforcement. My Aussie is registered and I am very good friends with his breeder who is very knowledgeable in this field and is always happy to lend a hand. For my pup with anxiety, she moved slow and gave her time to adjust and settle. My babies got all the play, love and attention they are used to (plus a little more) 😊😊 Also, Rachel was very flexible with me for drop-off and pickup as we were going out of town. About: Picture this: you love your working breed dog... but they can be a boarder's nightmare. Does it make you nervous that they won't get enough stimulation while you're away? You can rest assured dogs with me will get 2-3 miles of trails a day along with 2+ hours (more on weekends!) of supervised play time with an equally energetic husky. Along with structured crate time to decompress. I've dealt with the worst of leash pullers and have trained my own dogs with high expectations of good behavior. You don't have to worry about your pup loosing manners or reverting to bad behaviors while you're away! I can reinforce proper training while he/she enjoys vacation at a beautiful hideaway with miles of private woods, right on the lake for some water play when it's hot! Your pet's schedule: 7-9am: breakfast! 1-2 miles of trails 9-12pm: crate time with options of mental stimulation toys and food toys 12-1pm: potty break and inside or outside supervised play time with my dog 1-5pm: crate time 5pm: dinner time and evening walks 6pm-bedtime: supervised time around the house, options to interact with other pets, myself, household members. Bedtime: crate or bed if they prefer Note: this is based on my regular daily work schedule for weekdays and weekends. Some flexibility on time frames, excersize amounts, etc are possible. Just ask and let's see if can work something out! I have a high focus on making sure every animal gets adequate amounts of physical and mental stimulation. If your dog has needs outside of what I have listed, let's have a conversation! Crating is required while I or my husband is not in the house. Your dog will be crated in a low stimulation environment away from other animals for proper decompression time. And will never be longer than 4 hours during the day.
