About: I’ve always been an animal lover, from horses to reptiles! I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, and some of the others throughout. We recently lost our dog to cancer at just shy of 13 years old, and I’m currently volunteering as a dog walker at the animal shelter to help fill that void. With the limited hours available there, I thought we could try this avenue as well. I work full time, but my daughter and I would love to find a dog to walk Wednesday through Friday evenings, or weekends! We are available some weekends for dog/cat care while you’re away as well. We love walking dogs, playing fetch, petting them, and providing lots of love. We enjoy playing with cat toys, and giving them plenty of attention as well.

About: I grew up with dogs as family pets and have always considered myself a “dog person.” My family had a sheepdog, a black lab, and a Scottish sheepdog, which helped shape my lifelong love for animals. About 30 years ago, I met my wife, a true cat person through and through, and over time I happily transitioned into becoming a devoted cat lover as well. So your pup will have company pretty much all day whether you are boarding with me or I am housesitting for you. I'll gladly walk your dog to the level he/she is used to (if it's hot I will walk early morning and/or evenings). My intention is to have your baby feel loved and safe with lots of attention and play and by sticking to the routine as you dictate. I am very tidy/neat and respectful of your home. I'm happy to water your plants etc. If boarding in my home, I am here most of the time. My husb and I Iive in a house with a big fenced in yard so there is plenty of room for your pup to do his or her business and run around and chase a toy. The neighborhood is very walkable and dog-friendly. I can also take your dog in the car to favorite walks (with your permission). If boarding in my home, I request that your dog is 100% house-trained and has good social skills/manners as well as being comfortable with having their own bed to sleep in.

About: I have always loved and cared for animals since I was young. I have taken care of my own and other people's fur babies. I love when my friend's pets get excited to see me because I equally share their joy! Dogs: I have always loved dogs and had at least 1 since childhood until a few years ago sadly. The automatic baby voice comes out when I see and talk to a dog. I have found myself spending more time with the dogs than the humans at gatherings sometimes and I appreciate those moments. I love all breeds and sizes! When seeing a new dog in passing, I ask each owner if it’s okay for me to “say hi”/pet their fur baby because all are different with different personalities and life experiences. I tell my kitties often that they will have a canine sibling soon! Cats: Currently a cat mom of 2, the stars in my pictures! I was ignorant of cats until I found my own. I listened to many behavioral podcasts along with my research to understand their uniqueness, and now I deeply appreciate and understand wholeheartedly the love earned from such individual little creatures. My kitties are my shadows, I never use the restroom alone. They have taught me so much and I love the unique personality that I find in each one of them. I know how important it is to respect their space (especially if they're more standoffish) and ensure they have all their resources, especially when their humans are away! My kitties eat raw, so I make their food daily and give them specific supplements and treats depending on their behavior and the litterbox situation. I'm in tune with my kitty's behaviors and meows knowing what they're requesting in that moment. When caring for other people's pets, I'm mindful of where we use the bathroom (if possible) and clean up appropriately. No details are too many, I'm very supportive of specific needs and how your fur baby may be familiar with their care.

As a caretaker my duties at the sanctuary require demanding physical labor, housekeeping, and responsibilities of supervision over animals and other volunteers.
