My Grandparents took in retired racing Greyhounds and from there I learned that animals should be loved and cared for the entirety of their life. About: I’ve loved and cared for dogs my whole life, primarily large dogs up until end of life, as well as cats in the last 6 years. I’ve got extensive experience with these guys, and my love for these animals runs deep! I’m currently self-employed, so my schedule is very flexible for visiting or playing with your pets! The best times to schedule me are between 8am and 8pm, but I am open to other hours with planning in advance. :) I have a screened in yard, as well as 2 crates for small dogs and cats, comfy beds, and toys for them to play with! I also have treats and a dedicated space within my home for them to relax in.

About: Hi my name is Joseph! I grew up in a veterinary hospital being surrounded by all breeds and sizes of cats and dogs. I have 7+ years of pet sitting experience for NC State Vet Students and Faculty and currently work for a dog boarding and daycare facility in the Noda area. My background has given me hands-on experience with feeding, exercise, enrichment, and providing attentive compassionate care for every pet. I’m currently working Monday - Friday between 7am-11am (break) 2:30-7pm. On Saturday/Sunday the hours move around alittle but I remain to have a 3-4 hour mid day break for the opportunity to have midday checkups/care. My usual Check-in times when pet sitting have been 10-30 minutes before 6:30-7, 20-40 minutes between 11:30-2, and 20-30 minutes after 7:30. Depending on age, temper and health of the dog the visits can be rearranged for later or earlier visits if needed. With the circumstances of my apartment complex, I do in-house visit of my client instead of having the dog at my home. When arriving at my clients home, I like to first take the dog outside and make sure they use the bathroom. I will update the owner immediately if I see any issues with the pets stool (ie. Blood, Diarrhea, etc). After I like to feed depending on instructed time, or if no meal/ walk the dog around the owners yard or complex if possible. Before leaving I always make sure there is plenty of water and that at least one happy photo. Willing to administer medications in pill form. Also, will always follow clients instructions to a avoid any confusion or accidents.

“Kayla, her husband Michael (and their kids) made my boys (Bonanza and Jackson) feel so incredibly loved! Jackson is a senior dog with mobility issues, but he still was part of the action. Bonanza loved playing with the kids and other pups and running around the back yard. The kindness, care and compassion of Kayla and her family was just so special. I felt good knowing the pups were in such amazing hands and loved the photo updates. I look forward to boarding with Kayla again…and the boys do too!”
