Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!
About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. My mother was a dog sitter when I was younger so that has made me comfortable around most if not all breeds. I would help her with the feeding while she took them out. Now that I’m older I have two huskies and a cat. My goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets 😂. So, my love for animals is quite enormous. I do currently work from home M-F. I can give potty breaks every 2-3 hours while working. Since I work from home your pet would have to be well mannered while I’m on the phone. They of course will be welcomed to lay around me while working and will be loved on the entire time 😊. I have a huge yard, 2 acres worth. About 1/2 an acre is fenced in for the dogs. I have 2 spunky huskies well one tends to be more lazy than anything and I have a cat that loves our dogs.

“Our experience with Kenan was just what we needed. We have a highly anxious rescue boy with severe separation anxiety, yet we knew from the moment we met Kenan that our dog was in good hands. Kenan greeted Hank (our dog) by sitting on the ground and allowing Hank to see that he was safe. Kenan also took Hank and his new friend, Paco (another dog) on a long walk on their beautiful farm, and knew when it was time to provide some down time. I have a lot of experience with animals including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, ferrets, turtles, rats, exotic birds, goats, and a tarantula or two so feel free to reach out if you have any questions about your pet. I worked as a Veterinarian Assistant in Greensboro, NC and I have been with Rover since 2018. I am a kind-hearted, patient person with lots of love to give your pets while you are away. I am an avid hiker but if she/he is more of a couch potato, that works too. I have cared for puppies, adult and senior dogs, kittens, adult and senior cats with medication needs on several occasions. Shy and senior pets are my specialties! I have two senior female dogs at home that I’ve had since they were puppies and three rambunctious short hair cats. When they were younger we would walk Battleground Park and the various trails in Eden or around the lakes in Greensboro. I am available for drop-ins and long or short walks. Play time at home is great as well and I am happy to answer questions you have. Thank you for your consideration! I have a full-time job in Eden, NC and work part-time with Rover. I have availability during the week and on the weekends and I travel to GSO on occasion for work and park visits. I like to take time to get to know your pet. About: We were raising dogs before we had children. Siberian Huskies, Akitas, rescue dogs, and Icelandic Sheepdogs. There have been dogs in our home for over 50 years. Our pets are a part of the family and greet us each day with a licky kiss on the chin. Our grandchildren love to play with Spensa when they visit. Pet care is intentional and a part of our daily routine. With the morning coffee comes the morning run around the back yard. With my breakfast is the dogs breakfast. If we go for a walk, so does the dog! We all just do life together as we can! We have a fenced yard allowing plenty of room to run and play. Our dog is very friendly and is very comfortable being around other dogs. She is current on all vacinations. Should you required you dog to be crated for any reason, we would be more than willing to comply to your requests.

Spend extra time with them. I do bathing, and walks also! If you need your fur babies to be crated, no problem! I will make sure their safety comes first. You can put your mind at ease knowing your pets will be taken care of! This is my full time job, I enjoy every second of it! So day or night I can always do a drop in visit or a walk! Your pets safety comes first! So during a meet and greet I will be going over a small list of questions to make sure I can take care of your fur baby to the best of my ability. That’s where being a dog trainer comes in handy and the dogs can have fun while being in a calm state of mind! 😉🧘♀️💗🐾 I have three large dog yards- two are fenced in with 6ft privacy fence, and one yard is 6ft chain link fence. They can go potty, play, sun bathe, play in the dog pool, or just enjoy the fresh air. This is also nice if your dog isn’t aloud around other dogs- they will have their own large area to do their business and enjoy their time outdoors in a safe private area too!! 😌❤️ Cats love it here too! 🐈🐈⬛ your furry baby will get to enjoy toys, lick mats, cat castles and scratching boards. Even some cat nip if they’d like 🤪😸, and plenty of cuddles to “make biscuits”. 🥰🐾 If your dog can’t be around other dogs or cats, that is no problem here. I have plenty of room to give dogs and cats their own private space to still keep them at peace and accommodate to their needs during their stay! I like to match personalities within dogs so they can make great friends while they are on their vacation too!! I work a 2-2-3 schedule 12 hours a day meaning that I am off two days, on two days and off 3 days then vice versa the next week. The 12 hour shift pays off because that means I only work half a month! That leaves so much open time and that is why I have been able to tend to the current pets in my neighborhood so well. I have a Pomeranian named Bobby and he is my baby. I spoil him all the time and make sure that he is well taken car of whether he has to go outside at 2pm or 3am, I am out there! I give treats for rewards within moderation and love on him all the time. Your pets will get lots of love with me and I will make sure that they are well taken care of while still having fun. Bobby is a senior dog so I am always gentle with him because he also has a disability, so I will also be able to manage that if your dog has a disability as well. I walk Bobby twice a day and play with him a lot on the days that I am off because that is what continues the strengthen our bond.

About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. My mother was a dog sitter when I was younger so that has made me comfortable around most if not all breeds. I would help her with the feeding while she took them out. Now that I’m older I have two huskies and a cat. My goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets 😂. So, my love for animals is quite enormous. I do currently work from home M-F. I can give potty breaks every 2-3 hours while working. Since I work from home your pet would have to be well mannered while I’m on the phone. They of course will be welcomed to lay around me while working and will be loved on the entire time 😊.
