“Brooke is amazing. She and her beautiful family welcomed Jack Jack with open arms and he immediately felt at home in her house. We were happy he was so comfortable and we are very pleased to see him just as happy when we picked him up. We plan on using her services again in the near future.”

“If you love your dog and want someone who loves your dog as much as you do. Alexandra is that person. My dog had so much fun playing with all the dogs she has there. She has two of her own that are as sweet as can be. Her home is clean and beautiful, her back yard is big and fenced. She was very quick to respond to all my questions, she doesn't take mean dogs that are not a fit. I received many photos and videos during my dog's visit. I couldn't be happier to find Alexandra and will be using her services for as long as she continues to babysit my baby. I knew Alexandra was special because she enjoyed watching the dogs all play together as much as I did.”

“Luna is always loved when she goes. He sends updates and pictures, and this always reassures she is being well taken care of! Will be using again if we go out of town!”

“I left my 6 month old Vizsla with Lindy for my first time being away from her since I got her. She sent me pictures and videos everyday while I was gone which made it easier being away from my puppy. I would highly suggest her to anyone looking for a dog sitter in the area. My puppy came home extremely happy and sleepy which is great for me after a long trip!”

“Excellent experience with Jennifer. Took my pup in on short notice and was extremely flexible for drop off and pick up. Sent pictures and kept us updated on how things were going. Will definitely use again!”

“Heather is the best! She takes great care of Indy, and is a strong communicator. Indy loves being at her house and has a great time in her fenced in yard. 10000% reccomend”

“Lili loved our two pups like they were here own. They came home very happy and tired. Lili also sent us lots of pictures and updates every day. I would highly recommend her! Thank you so much again Lili ♥️”

“Mary was fantastic! I needed her last min for a long trip. My dogs can be a handful and Mary was extremely accommodating. She made my kids feel at home and she sent pics and updates that made my time away from them easier. My trip ended early and Mary offered to go above and beyond because of the circumstances. My kiddos came home tired and happy! Thank you!”
“Annie is great with our 2 older dogs. Daily updates and photos showed us they are being taken care of with love and patience......they settled in nicely and Annie and her husband treat our dogs just as they do their own. We highly recommend Annie!”
“Shiloh really enjoyed her sleepover at Lucia’s. She was well fed, got to make some new doggie friends, and best of all got lots of love and attention. Shiloh and I highly recommend Lucia, she’s kind, patient, and caring.”

“David took great care of my pup while I went out of town. He updated me with messages and pictures each day, which I really appreciated. My pup looked so happy and relaxed, clearly she had a great little vacation too! Highly recommend and would definitely book again.”

“Nathan and Courtney are good people who opened their home to our beloved dog, and also to us when we paid them a visit. Excellent almost daily communication with pictures were provided. Penny was taken on daily walks, and also entertained by their gentle kitties, dog and other barnyard pets! She was calm and happy when we picked her up.”

“I cannot say enough great things about this dog sitting family! My two dogs absolutely adored their two kiddos! They enjoyed playing outside with the family's dog, Yogi. Even Rowen, who usually prefers staying inside, joined in on the fun and had a wonderful time.🤗 I felt at ease the whole time I was out of town because they kept me updated and sent pictures. 10/10 would recommend 👌🏽”

About: I became a dog mom at 19, and have been dog-sitting off and on ever since! While the extra income is always nice, I mainly do it to prevent coming home with a new puppy every week. I treat all the dogs I meet like they're my own and give them as much love as I do to my own babies - an 11 year old Lab mix and 6 year old German Shepherd! They both have loved every dog I've ever had staying at my house. I'm comfortable with all breeds and all ages, and have no problem giving medications if needed. I am available during the daytime for long walks and have a very flexible work schedule, which means a lot of play time for your pup! I’m currently working remote part-time and have the flexibility to choose my own hours, which means I have plenty of spare time during the day to spend with your pup! I treat your pets as if they are my own, giving them the same amount of love and attention if not more! I always make sure they are well cared for and that the client comes home to a clean house and happy pets!
About: My background spans everything from energetic puppies to sweet seniors. I do not just monitor pets, I actively engage them. I focus on positive reinforcement, structure, and maintaining your exact home routine. Owners trust me because I treat their pets like my own. You will receive consistent updates, clear communication, and total peace of mind while you are away. Because I work from home, your pet receives my full attention. My flexible routine ensures consistent neighborhood walks, frequent potty breaks, and dedicated companionship all day long. Whether you need overnight boarding, interactive playdates, daily walking, or quick potty breaks, I easily accommodate your schedule. I offer a safe home environment with one friendly dog for constant companionship. Our routine includes daily leashed neighborhood walks and optional off-leash socialization trips to Martin Dog Park. I also provide secure crating at night for a safe, restful sleep.

“Christy was wonderful! She was able to come in and fill in within a few days. This was my first experience with Christy and Rover and I will definitely be asking her again. She's pleasant and personable. Callie must have enjoyed the stay since she jumped up in her lap on the first day.”

About: Along with my experiences with Dogs, I'm also verses in the world of cats! Whether they're shy and playful, or sassy and cute, I love them all! Taking care of cats of my own has gained me knowledge in how to tell when they're in a playful mood, back off when they need some space, and of course, when to bring in the meowmix! ;) Playtime will also be in the running for when they want to! I also surprisingly enjoy my own ritual of cleaning the litter box! Please consider me for you Kitty care ❤

About: My Persian Himalayan (Snuggles) was 15 when he passed away. I now have a 14-year-old Domestic (Bagheera) who has traveled with me and lived in Florida, New York, North Carolina, and a treehouse in Hawai'i for the last 5 years. We rescued the baby (Boo) a year ago in a parking lot in Hawai'i with a broken leg. He was 5 weeks old so I am familiar with administering oral medication now as well as eye drops.
“Ariana accepted our booking almost last minute when we found that we had to travel out of state. They were able to visit our three "gentlemen" daily and ensure they were fed, had water and took time to interact and play with them. They also ensured the litter was fresh and sent us daily reports with pictures. We very much appreciated the peace of mind and the boys were very happy with them as well! Thank you!”

About: January 2025, it was a crisp day with wearing layers of clothing to keep warm. I was on a walk around the neighborhood and saw two little kittens (less than nine months old). The nights were getting colder and I was not going to give up on finding these kittens. I ran into the family who was also feeding them. I took them in, and now they are part of my family. We need to do our due diligence on the stray cats to be fixed (VTNR).

About: Hello! Currently I own 3 precious female cats myself! I rescued each of them when they were kittens and still actively work with a cat rescue local in my area! I have plenty of resource opportunities if needed as well because of that! I have owned cats since I was a child, and I’ve always loved observing each of their own unique personalities. Although many say dogs are a man’s best friend, I truly believe cats are equally as loyal, loving and caring!

About: I have hands-on experience caring for cats of all personalities, including fostering both feral and domestic cats. I’m comfortable administering medications when needed, keeping litter boxes clean, and I truly enjoy spending quality time playing, bonding, and giving affection.
About: RN and ex-vet tech :) Excellent with dogs and cats, of all breeds, and competent to provide the necessary care for "special needs pets". Excellent trainer if any is needed or any advice. We will enjoy long walks on trails or around your neighborhood. My own animals are completely trained and get along with farm or other domestic animals. I am extremely active and like to keep pets that way too! My house is loaded with fun toys for both cats and dogs. I love to give baths and nail trims, for willing babies. I hope to spend time with your babies soon! Currently taking a break from full-time working and only work PRN as an ICU RN, so I have a lot of free time :) Prefer to take your babies on walks and help them get their exercise, but also happy to follow whatever routine you want! My own animals are very spoiled and loved. They get the maximum amount of cuddles and playtime I can give them, and I want to give that to your babies as well :)

About: I started off with cats which I even mentioned in my dog profile. We got our first cat when i was In 1st grade. His name was laces and honestly amazing. I started Training him little tricks because i just wanted to train everything. My second childhood cat was Rico! He was my SPCA rescue ! The seeetest of them all! When i went Off to college i then had another cat alongside my dog Omega, Romeo was the best. It is a goal of mine to get another one day but my house has just been taken over with dogs, which is why i wont house a cat. I know they wont be comfortable and i dont want my dogs to get hurt. True cat owners know they can handle their own. I’d love to be able to take a break from the rah rah go go go of my dog life to relax with some cool cats and make sure all of their needs are met.

“Morgan was amazing, thank you so much for visiting Congress while we were out on vacation. Although he hid the entire time I know how dedicated you were to getting him to come out. Morgan was awesome, would definitely book again!”

“Brooke and her family were great! They clearly took great care of my pup as he was content around her, but worn out and ready to nap by the time we got in the car. She was really flexible and great at communicating. Would recommend and will use again in the future!”

“Jennifer was very accommodating and friendly. We dropped our dog two days in a row for daycare, and he was very happy when we picked him and excited to return the next day. We will definitely go to Jennifer again when we’re back in Pinehurst.”

“Lucia was amazing with my two dogs. One of which is super shy but she made her feel so at home that in just two visits had her snuggle with her. Loved all the photos too! Definitely using her again.”

About: Hi! I’m Kat — and I offer personalized walks and enrichment as a trusted extension of your dog’s care team. I know how hard it is to leave your dog. They’re family. Clear communication and consistency matter, and I take that seriously. Every visit is an opportunity to build trust — with both you and your pup. You’ll receive thoughtful updates that include notes on energy, potty, behavior, and anything I’m noticing (because yes, I absolutely pay attention to the details). I truly treat each dog as the individual they are. Some are bold explorers. Some are thoughtful observers. Some love a purposeful walk, while others prefer a slower pace with time to sniff and take it all in. I adjust each visit based on age, health, temperament, and your household routines — meeting your dog where they are and supporting what helps them thrive. I’m especially attentive to patterns — what helps a dog feel calm, confident, and engaged. Safety and steady leadership are always my priorities. I’m mindful at doors, leashes, transitions, and the environment around us so your dog’s experience is secure, structured, and positive.

About: I’ve dog sat for my friends in this area on and off for years. I grew up on a ranch with animals and am comfortable with them. I have a 3 year old chocolate lab who absolutely loves friends to play with and has never had any issues with other dogs or people. I currently work part time, and have a lot of days with full flexibility. Most mornings after my kids go to school I’m free, and weekends or evenings my 12 year old and 8 year old love to walk with or play with dogs with me. My yard is fenced in, and my home is dog friendly. I’m happy to stay in clients homes as well if my schedule with my children allows. I don’t mind driving a bit to go to different neighborhoods for walking either.
About: Hi, I’m Izzy – an educator and lifelong animal lover! I grew up with cats and dogs and now have two sweet, friendly pups of my own. I’ve worked at a dog grooming salon, cared for pets over school breaks, and love providing reliable care when pet parents need a helping hand. Whether your dog is a high-energy adventurer or a mellow homebody, I’ll adapt to their needs and give them all the love they deserve. I’m happy to provide references from other families I've worked with! I look forward to connecting soon. I work remotely as a teacher so I am available during the week and on weekends! I am happy to come to your house for drop in visits or walks. I also do offer doggy daycare in my home for one dog a day. I have two dogs of my own who love to have visitors. Your dog’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I’ve cared for dogs both in my home and in their own familiar space. I always follow your pet’s routine and preferences to make sure they feel secure. I have two friendly, crate-trained dogs who love making new friends, and my home is pet-safe and well set up for boarding or drop-ins. I'm happy to arrange a meet-and-greet so you feel totally at ease!
“We had a great day! Whitney was awesome. She let me run & play with her dogs. She took me for walks. She even let me sit on her lap..., not that I gave her much choice! LOL. Mom said I could come back anytime. I sure hope it's soon!! --- Bronwyn, Rottweiler dog”

About: Hi! Whether it’s following a color-coded care sheet, calming nervous pets, administering meds, or watering your beloved jungle, I’ve got it handled. You can head out knowing your pets (and plants!) are safe, spoiled, and genuinely cared for by someone who treats every home like a tiny ecosystem worth protecting. 🐈🌸🐶🐍🌱 Your furry, feathered, or scaly friends will be happy, safe, and well-loved while you're away! I’m happy to offer pet sitting, house sitting, doggy daycare, and more. I have a large fenced backyard for safe playtime and live in a lovely, pet-friendly neighborhood, perfect for walks, adventures, or just soaking up some sun. About: Since the age of 23, I have independently cared for three dogs entrusted to me by my mother. This ongoing responsibility has required daily attention to their feeding, grooming, and exercise routines, strengthening my time management, reliability, and caregiving skills. Since I stay at home, I have plenty of time and flexibility to care for pets and easily work it into my daily schedule . When pets stay in my home, they’re treated like family. I provide a safe, clean, and relaxed environment with regular feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of affection. I follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible and stay in touch with owners with updates and photos.
“Chelsey is amazing and was an absolute lifesaver! I unexpectedly had to work remotely out of town and needed last minute help with my dog. I messaged her early that morning on a whim, and she responded immediately. She even came to pick my dog up so I could clock in at a decent time, which meant so much. She kept my dog all day, took her on two walks, gave her play time, plenty of potty breaks, and sent me pictures and updates throughout the day. When I picked her up, my dog was SO happy and playing with the other dogs which is huge because she’s not always the best with other dogs. It was clear she felt comfortable, happy and well cared for. I highly recommend Chelsey for all your fur babies’ needs and will absolutely be using her services again in the future whenever possible!”

About: One of the best feelings in the world is being greeted by a dog’s wagging tail—a pure expression of happiness, joy, and love that instantly brightens the day. I grew up with dogs, and from an early age, I learned how much they truly complete a home. I always accommodate my clients' animals daily routines, because their comfort comes first. It’s never about my schedule—it’s about maintaining what they know and trust. Just because their owners are away doesn’t mean their routine should change. I love taking pictures, so you'll have great photos of your animals while you are away. This is my full time job. Nice days don’t go to waste!!! Your pet(s) and I will be outside playing, running around, and a walk around the neighborhood (if allowed). I respect every home by keeping it tidy and cleaning up after myself. About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. Growing up I was around breeds such as Labradors, Cocker Spaniels, Chows, German Shepards, Poodles and Lhasa Apsos. The first time I became a dog mom was to Zoe, a Bichon Frise. I lived in Chicago at the time in an apartment so I had to walk her multiple times a day. Bichons also need a lot of maintenance with their fur, so I’m very familiar with grooming methods of that type of breed. After Zoe, I became a dog mom to a Pit Bull/German Shepherd puppy, Garner. I got him when he was 8 weeks old and had him for 13.5 years. I understand the level of care a puppy needs as well as a senior dog. I’m also very familiar with handling large breeds on a leash. I understand how a pet is part of the family and I will show your dog lots of love and affection, just like I would my own. I am available Monday-Friday 8am-2pm then from 6pm-8pm. I’m available 7am-10pm on Saturday and Sunday. Please contact me if you need help outside of those times and I can try to work with you. I’m not able to keep your dog in my home, but I will always make sure your dog is safe in your home. I will always follow your safety protocols.

“I recently adopted Tucker and he is very shy around new people. Before the first walk, Shannon took the time to sit with him and get Tucker comfortable with her. After that, he looked forward to the daily walk. I will definitely use Shannon again.”

About: My journey started with owning cats growing up and training every animal I ever owned leading up to my first dog. My cats and even my bird. When I was 12, I started dog sitting Pierre, my mom’s coworkers Yorkshire Terrier. He caused me to fall in love with dogs. I became obsessed with AKC dog shows, my mom and I watched it every Thanksgiving morning after the parade. I actually loved anything with animals. I owned many cats from the age of 4 through my teenage years. I love cats but they can’t do what dogs can. Finally after years of begging, my mom got us our first dog, Omega. He was a beautiful standard poodle and was so smart. My best friends mom had a friend who needed to rehome one of hers, he was 1 when we got him and I taught him all he knew from down, stay to jumping over a pole. Before going off to college I chose to foster dogs in need and I fostered three successfully who went off and found their forever homes. It was the most rewarding thing. So I decided if I can work with dogs my entire life and just be around them all day for a job Id be in heaven! Naturally my teenage brain thought “I’ll be a Veterinarian”! I completed 3 years at Virginia Tech majoring in Animal & Poultry Science doing the Companion Animal Tract. I was able to receive a lot of hands on experience with animals of all kinds; pigs, cattle, sheep, horses and chickens (of all ages). I learned skills from halter breaking heifers to administering shots in 3 different ways. Though I do enjoy animals of all kinds I eventually came to the realization that I thoroughly enjoy training dogs and I’m constantly training my own. I currently have two that im working with regularly just for fun at one point and so it dawned on me that I’m in the wrong career. So while in the process of developing and launching my own personal Dog training and boarding business. Since I work from home, I have the time and knowledge to be able to dedicate to helping others who are in need of these services now. Trusting their fur babies will receive the best of care and would be made to feel at home. If your baby is more comfortable in their own home I’m happy to accommodate to their needs. Leaving your fur babies is not always easy, trust me, I’m having to do it for the first time soon myself and with me you can have the peace of mind that your furry friends will be in great hands, as I will treat them just how I’d expect mine to be treated ! With nothing but love, care and patience. I have Experience with all ages! Omega was with us until he passed at the age of 14! My dogs recently had an accidental litter and I raised up 10 puppies who all lived and are 12 weeks old now ! I’m familiar with administering pills or medications if necessary. 7 puppies remain in my care as I want to make sure they go to great homes and I plan to train them as service dog prospects ! I train dogs in basic and advance obedience, on and off leash training, and some skills like protection and sport work. I work from home full time starting my work day at 12:30 pm and ending at 9 pm. I get two 15 minute breaks and one 30 minute lunch through the day. During which they would be able to potty and play. So your furry friend will always have someone home with them. It is a goal of mine to eventually do this full time. I have A large yard on an acre property. Dogs who are trained off leash can roam in the back which has rock boarders lining the property. For those not trained off lead i have A long 30 ft lead which will still allow them the freedom to run around. I have two adult dogs and a litter of puppies still with me who can keep any anxious friends company. And for those who need to be alone, my two can be kept upstairs in my room and the puppies can be crated leaving your friend the entire downstairs to roam or in my work office with me while I work. I have two large crates which can be used if your friend has a hard time getting settled in a new environment. I provide an enriching environment where your fur baby will learn how to be a better k9 citizen everyday ! Picture and video updates can be sent regularly !

Their well-being is a priority in everything I do, and caring for them brings structure, peace, and purpose to my day. When I care for other people’s animals, I treat them like they’re my own—with patience, gentleness, and full attention. I take time to learn their routines, personalities, and needs, so they feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. Whether it’s feeding, cleaning, playing, or just sitting with a shy pet to help them feel calm, I make sure every moment is rooted in trust and love. I know how much animals mean to their families, and I do everything I can to give them peace of mind.
About: I've grown up caring for multiple breeds of dogs and some cats. I have adopted an older Lab Mix from a kill shelter and he is the sweetest, calm and loving dog. Large dogs are my specialty but I love smaller dogs as well. Caring for them comes natural, on top of giving them plenty of space to run and exercise. I am comfortable giving any dogs medications as I have experience giving my own the same. If there is any specification you'd like for dog boarding, I am more than positive those needs can be met. Walking dogs is an everyday activity I do to keep them mobile and active as well as myself! I just enjoy any type of companionship that comes with caring for dogs! I’m currently working from home which helps allow us to provide full time care for our animals, as well as yours! We’re able to be outside and play anytime throughout the day. We have a large fenced in back yard with lots of room to roam and play outside. With cameras in the front and back yard that helps us keep a close eye on their movement to ensure safety.

About: Hi! I’m your friendly neighborhood pet sitter—animal nerd, plant parent, and professional chaos manager 🌿🐾 From pocket-sized hamsters to majestic Great Danes, opinionated parrots to mysterious snakes, I love animals of every variety. Fur, feathers, or scales? I’m in. I approach pet care like a science and an art—learning routines, decoding body language, and adapting my care to match each pet’s unique personality (yes, even the dramatic ones). When I’m not hanging out with pets, I’m probably fussing over plants and making sure every living thing around me is thriving. My wife and I recently made the move to Southern Pines from Florida and have been enjoying getting to know the community—especially its many pets! I’m happy to offer pet sitting, house sitting, doggy daycare, and more. I have a large fenced backyard for safe playtime and live in a lovely, pet-friendly neighborhood, perfect for walks, adventures, or just soaking up some sun. Your furry, feathered, or scaly friends will be happy, safe, and well-loved while you’re away!
