“Rachel is AMAZING!! This was my first time boarding my pups (one with anxiety) and using Rover. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. 11/10 experience! We did a meet and greet ahead of time, which was super helpful. She has a wonderful setup! A nice, large, fenced-in yard for them to run around and play. The upper deck is perfect for my pups looking out over the yard and resting in the sun. Rachel is a fantastic communicator sending multiple updates, pics and videos throughout the day. With my permission, the dogs were allowed on the couch and provided lots of cuddles and she even slept in the spare room with them (just like home). For my pup with anxiety, she moved slow and gave her time to adjust and settle. My babies got all the play, love and attention they are used to (plus a little more) 😊😊 Also, Rachel was very flexible with me for drop-off and pickup as we were going out of town. Kept the cats litter box so clean I didn’t even have to change it when they brought it back. I work 10 minutes away from my home. I have a set time to take my puppy out as he is still going through potty training My apartment is pretty open for the fur babies to room around and I have a small fur baby of my own that can play with! There is a big area of grass around my complex where they can go potty and play and a dog park right up the street.

Tucker previously went through heartworm treatment, so I have experience following medication schedules and giving medication as directed. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, basic grooming, and giving pets plenty of attention. I’ve also owned and cared for parrots, iguanas, lizards, hamsters, and many other animals. About: I have experience with all kinds of pet care. From cats and dogs to chinchillas and bearded dragons. I am experience with medication and well as behavioral I work PRN at 2 nursing homes and I am in school for 13.5 hours a week! I do make my own schedule for the most part so providing adequate care has never been an issue. I am CPR and first aid certified, I am also fire/flood trained. I have been told I am a perfectionist and I do hyperfocus but since I am watching your pets that is a good thing!

About: I have had, rescued, and taken care of a wide variety of dogs from smaller malti-poos to a Dane who had been living on the street, was skin and bones, and ended up 188 lbs. Currently I have Pippa, a 7-year-old Labrador who is allergic to chicken, so I make part of her food. I am home most of the time, except when I host overly-complex board games at the Hickory Library or the Highland Rec Center -- and those sessions are at most 3 hours long. I am home most days, except when I am hosting 3-hour board games at the local library and rec center. Otherwise, I take care of our house and rental properties. I have a large fenced yard -- especially-so since my house sits along North Center Street. I also use carabiners to make sure that gates are locked.

All of my dogs live in my home. They are our “kids” and our entire world revolves around them. I like to keep pets on their normal/consistent schedule and will work closely with the owners to prioritize the needs of their pets. Safety is key for me, so I require a meet and greets prior to finalizing the official reservation. This not only allows me to meet the owners and understand their needs, but it also allows me to get to know the pet and ensure we have a good connection.
About: I’ve been caring for animals for more than 30 years, starting with pet sitting for neighbors when I was in elementary school. While attending college in Raleigh, I expanded my pet sitting work and cared for multiple families with a wide range of pets and personalities. Before moving back to this area, I worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility, where I provided daily exercise, supervised play, administered medications—including insulin injections—and made sure each dog felt safe, comfortable, and cared for. My weekly routine is generally very consistent, which means I know my availability well in advance and can provide dependable walks, drop-in visits, and midday care without last-minute surprises. Pet care fits naturally into my day—I’m able to step away for walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, or medication visits while still keeping a reliable schedule for both pets and their owners. At this time, I’m not able to offer boarding in my home, but I take caring for pets in their own environment seriously. When I’m in your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I would expect in my own. I always make sure doors are secure, water bowls are fresh, and pets are safe and comfortable before I leave. I also pay attention to small details—cleaning up any messes, checking that toys are safe, and moving anything that could pose a risk (for example, a torn stuffed toy that could be chewed apart). One of the best compliments I’ve received from a client came after a week-long house sit: they told me, “It never even looked like you were here.” That’s exactly the experience I aim to provide—reliable, attentive care for your pet, and complete peace of mind for you.
About: I have been around animals for the entirety of my life and have been raised to believe that they are family. I believe that animals come before myself. I think that my purpose as a human is to make their lives better! I am currently full time in school. My mornings Monday-Thursday are taken until 2pm. Other than that I am as free as you need me to be! I care for pets by following their routine, keeping them safe, fed, and happy, and giving them plenty of love and attention whether in my home or yours.
About: I’ve taken care of my shihtzu since he was born. He is now 6! I also recently adopted a border collie mix! I love caring for animals and seeing them thrive and grow! “Rachel is AMAZING!! This was my first time boarding my pups (one with anxiety) and using Rover. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. 11/10 experience! We did a meet and greet ahead of time, which was super helpful. She has a wonderful setup! A nice, large, fenced-in yard for them to run around and play. The upper deck is perfect for my pups looking out over the yard and resting in the sun. Rachel is a fantastic communicator sending multiple updates, pics and videos throughout the day. With my permission, the dogs were allowed on the couch and provided lots of cuddles and she even slept in the spare room with them (just like home). For my pup with anxiety, she moved slow and gave her time to adjust and settle. My babies got all the play, love and attention they are used to (plus a little more) 😊😊 Also, Rachel was very flexible with me for drop-off and pickup as we were going out of town. Kept the cats litter box so clean I didn’t even have to change it when they brought it back. About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for four dogs of different ages, breeds, and sizes. I currently have an 8-year-old mutt named Tucker who is incredibly sweet. Tucker previously went through heartworm treatment, so I have experience following medication schedules and giving medication as directed. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, basic grooming, and giving pets plenty of attention. I’ve also owned and cared for parrots, iguanas, lizards, hamsters, and many other animals. My apartment is very pet-friendly and comfortable, with plenty of places for dogs to relax. I even have a couch specifically for dogs, along with a dog bed and other cozy spots throughout the apartment. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and at home while they’re with me, and I’m happy to follow any routines or special instructions you provide.
About: I have 2 dogs of my own currently one is 8 and one is 10. I currently work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. i work 5 days a week less than 40 hours and i’m taking care of animals when im on and off the clock so it seems fitting to become a sitter and walker:) I live in a home with an unfenced 2 acre yard. we have a runner in case the dog isn’t leash or off leash trained.
