Our "puppies" tend to be pretty high energy, and they seemed to fit right in with the family. This was the first trip I've been on where I forgot to worry about the dogs and just enjoy our trip, which never happens. The communication, updates, and photos were consistent and frequent, and I felt like they were in amazing hands the entire time. Both Maci and Oakley came back so happy (and so tired). So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. About: I’ve had cats growing up. My current cat was a bottle baby and she is a thriving queen! I am use to indoor, outdoor, and indoor/outdoor cats. I maintain consistent feeding schedules, provide daily exercise and playtime, and ensure their safety by always supervising. They have designated rest areas (although I do allow animals on furniture), plenty of enrichment activities/toys, and lots of affection of course! I also have a large yard where my dogs love to run around and play with toys (when outside, they are always supervised) and a quiet neighborhood that is perfect for walks! I am always keeping my eyes on them, making sure they are healthy, eating/drinking, and exercising correctly. In a clients home is a bit different as this is not my personal space. I tend to follow the routine/schedule exactly as written and complete the usual duties such as feeding, walking, playtime, waste/litter cleanup, etc. I keep the home clean, ensure safety over the property and animals, and provide regular updates and photos to owners during each visit. I always double check and make sure all pets are comfortable, safe, and have everything they need in their space before I leave.

Not just dogs, I’ve raised chickens, Guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, geckos, and I helped birth puppies once 😂 My partner and I are full time Pet Sitters! About: I’ve pet sat my friends animals, and they’ve had so many! Senior dogs that have accidents and have behavioral issues. Exotic pets, of many kids. Every morning, I fill the cat and water bowl in my room, weekly I clean the bowls. For my dogs, whenever my parents don’t feed them cause they are out, I feed them and fill their water. I brush their coats, and try to give them baths every few weeks or so! However the pet parents would like, but I care for what is best for their health. I understand each pet is different and needs different things. I can bathe the animals depending on behavior, my right leg doesn't haven't as much feeling since surgery and cant handle a lot of big pressure.

About: I've been working at a doggie daycare called 4 Paws Unleashed in Des Moines Iowa for the past two years, and I recently moved to the area. At that job I trained puppies and took care of sick and elderly dogs on a regular basis. I just moved to the area and am still in the process of looking for work, so I currently have plenty of time to get to know your angels! I will care for your animals however you wish. They always come first. When you care for and train animals you need much patience, but most of all lots of love.
About: Ever since I was a teenager I've been taking care of neighbors pets and watching their houses while they were away. I have a dog of my own and I love animals of all types. When I pets sit for you. I take care of your dog or cat like they are my own. I also leave your house in a better condition than I found it. While I currently have a full-time job, taking care of your fur babies is important to me and I am hoping to eventually grow this into a full-time business. All the time I am not working will be dedicated to staying, playing, and taking care of your dogs or cats. I appreciate you trusting me with staying in your home and taking care of your house while you are away I would show the utmost respect for your space. I also recognize that it is your pet's home and they have their own routines they like to stick to and I will respect that as much as possible.
About: I have been a fur mom since I was about 12 years old and have experience with all kinds of pets, including reptiles, chickens, hamsters, Guinea pigs, birds, & chinchillas. I also use to work at a pet store doing pet care which involved lots of handling, cleaning and keeping a healthy environment for the animals. I am currently self employed and I make my own schedule so I am flexible with my availability. Mondays and Thursday are more flexible but I have time on the other days of the week as well. I’m clients homes I would give your pets the attention and lovin’ that they need and make sure that they are always safe. I will keep clean after them and make sure that they are cared for as if they were my own.

“Marilyn is absolutely amazing! We had contacted her hoping she might be able to accommodate our dogs for a last minute trip, and she quickly set up the meet and greet and boarding! Our "puppies" tend to be pretty high energy, and they seemed to fit right in with the family. This was the first trip I've been on where I forgot to worry about the dogs and just enjoy our trip, which never happens. The communication, updates, and photos were consistent and frequent, and I felt like they were in amazing hands the entire time. Both Maci and Oakley came back so happy (and so tired). I cannot say enough about amazing Marilyn (and her family) are! Thank you so much for everything, Maci and Oakley will definitely be back to play!”
