“Ashley and family were great! If I could give her 10 stars I would. We planned a weekend in Rocky Mount and booked boarding for our dog at a local boarding place. We dropped her off and before we left they let us know she was too anxious and would not be able to tolerate the whole weekend there. We tried one other boarding facility and they had a similar set up so I knew she wouldn't be able to stay there either. I found Ashley on rover and messaged her about booking for the weekend last minute. Our dog is very anxious around other dogs which becomes aggression because she gets so worked up. Ashley was able to keep her for the weekend and keep her separated from their other dogs in the home. I was very relieved to know she was safe and taken care and that the other dogs in the home were safe too. When we arrive Harley went right in with them and was happy when we picked her up! About: I was adopted by my first cat in 2000 and have dog-and cat-sat for friends and co-workers ever since. Having moved to a farm 3 years ago, I’ve also cared for our neighbor’s horses, chickens, and guinea fowl. In general, I respect all pets' boundaries and love to find their individual personalities. I have a lot of experience with various temperaments and personalities, and am sensitive to the needs and quirks of every animal I meet. I've bottle-fed newborns, given oral medications (pills and liquid), applied topical ointments, and given fluid injections to cats with renal failure. I'll honor any preferences you have for caring for your cats (e.g., feeding times, fresh water daily, etc.). My wife and I have rescued and fostered cats for the last 10 years, so I’m familiar with a variety of health issues and quirky behaviors. And I scoop litters! At the moment I work remotely from home, so I can flex my schedule around any specific times you may need. Driving long distance is not a deal-breaker for me. Most of our cats are indoors but have access to a fenced-in portion of the back yard. We feed them wet food twice a day (morning and night) and snack them with dry food throughout the day. Each one gets playtime throughout the day, and the only "rules" are no cats on the kitchen counters. People have told us that when they die, they hope to come back as a cat we take care of. Given the number of cats we have, I'm unable to board any pets.
About: I've taken care of raising my kids in a pet-friendly environment for many years that stems from a childhood of taking every stray pet I could get past my mom. I have best friends in the pet rescue business as well as pet transport. All of our pets have been considered family all the way through their lives. I have an open welcoming loving heart, a knack for customer service, and strive for attention to detail. Our home is warm, full of love, and ready to keep your fur babies safe, spoiled, and content. Unfortunately, I do not have a fenced yard but I am in a safe community, have a large yard, and would never walk/let your fur baby out without a proper safety harness and leash. My schedule is flexible since I am retired. My love for animals is why I love being able to use this platform. I use River when I go visit my grandkids 3 times a year. I live the Lake Royale community so have gate access. I live full time in my 38 foot Class A Motorhome until my cottage is done being built. I am a stickler about ensuring your pet is on leash when outdoors. while indoors as long as other clients pets are friendly and willing pets will be able to roam freely. Crates are recommended for overnight stays or if pets will not get along.

About: I am a Certified Canine Specialist. I have been caring for pets since I was 4 years old. During my teenage years, I was caring for 35 animals daily. I have a lot of experience with all sorts of pets, especially dogs. I do have a fenced in yard and I do have a fenced in patio along with a large yard. I'm all around great with animals. I can groom, trim nails, give medication, bathe, and even work on training on things such as leash walking if you would like that. Your pet would be cared for and loved like one of my own during their stay and/or visit. You can trust that your pet is in good hands with me. I can send pictures during their stay to help keep you comfortable. I love animals. We will play and go on walks. If you have your dog crate trained for overnights, no worries. I will stick to your rules for your pet and crate them just like you would at home. About: We live with two beautiful pups and grew up with both dogs, cats, and even horses and livestock. Our experience with all is plentiful. Pets especially love our friendly nature, kind voice, and active lifestyle for a robust playtime. My husband and I currently work remotely full time, which has given us the ability to pet-sit for friends and family locally and even in different states! When I lived in NYC I walked up to six dogs at a time for about a year. We have a fenced yard for playtime, a sidewalk and dog park for walks and playtime. About: I have had dogs pretty much my whole life. One of those dogs is turning 15 this year. I exercise often, and am generally very active, so I love going out on walks with my dogs. I’m currently unemployed so I have all the time in the world to dedicate to your dogs, because of this I’m available basically every day of the week. I have a nice fenced in yard that I play with my two dogs in. My dogs mostly have free range of the downstairs, and of course are allowed on the furniture.

“Ashley and family were great! If I could give her 10 stars I would. We planned a weekend in Rocky Mount and booked boarding for our dog at a local boarding place. We dropped her off and before we left they let us know she was too anxious and would not be able to tolerate the whole weekend there. We tried one other boarding facility and they had a similar set up so I knew she wouldn't be able to stay there either. I found Ashley on rover and messaged her about booking for the weekend last minute. Our dog is very anxious around other dogs which becomes aggression because she gets so worked up. Ashley was able to keep her for the weekend and keep her separated from their other dogs in the home. I was very relieved to know she was safe and taken care and that the other dogs in the home were safe too. When we arrive Harley went right in with them and was happy when we picked her up!
