I have a set time to take my puppy out as he is still going through potty training My apartment is pretty open for the fur babies to room around and I have a small fur baby of my own that can play with! There is a big area of grass around my complex where they can go potty and play and a dog park right up the street.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for four dogs of different ages, breeds, and sizes. I currently have an 8-year-old mutt named Tucker who is incredibly sweet. Tucker previously went through heartworm treatment, so I have experience following medication schedules and giving medication as directed. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, basic grooming, and giving pets plenty of attention. I’ve also owned and cared for parrots, iguanas, lizards, hamsters, and many other animals. I genuinely love animals and will treat every pet like one of my own. I’m currently in college and only have about three hours of class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m available throughout most of the week for walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, and spending quality time with your pets. My apartment is very pet-friendly and comfortable, with plenty of places for dogs to relax. I even have a couch specifically for dogs, along with a dog bed and other cozy spots throughout the apartment. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and at home while they’re with me, and I’m happy to follow any routines or special instructions you provide.

About: I have had, rescued, and taken care of a wide variety of dogs from smaller malti-poos to a Dane who had been living on the street, was skin and bones, and ended up 188 lbs. Currently I have Pippa, a 7-year-old Labrador who is allergic to chicken, so I make part of her food. I am home most of the time, except when I host overly-complex board games at the Hickory Library or the Highland Rec Center -- and those sessions are at most 3 hours long. I am home most days, except when I am hosting 3-hour board games at the local library and rec center. Otherwise, I take care of our house and rental properties. I have a large fenced yard -- especially-so since my house sits along North Center Street. I also use carabiners to make sure that gates are locked.

Kassie took Buddy for great walks, provided a great indoor environment, but he got close to the road when we left. That was on me as I didn’t have him leashed up. If Kassie ever gets a fence in the equation, it would be a “6l” on a scale to 5. Definitely will ask Kassie to Buddy watch again.”

“Katy took care of my 5-month-old puppy, Bagel, for three days while I was in the area taking a painting class. Bagel is a very sweet, social and energetic puppy who loves people and other dogs, but he can become overstimulated around other dogs and doesn’t always know how to settle himself yet. Although I had explained that ahead of time, I don’t think either Katy or I realized just how difficult it would be for him to settle in a new home with another dog around. Katy really did try hard to make him comfortable. She took him on walks, played with him, worked on calming him down, and even made a trip to the pet store for a stronger harness, leash, blanket, treats and other things she thought might help. She communicated with me throughout the day and was very honest when she felt Bagel was becoming more than she could comfortably manage for a full day. After two particularly challenging days, we agreed to shorten his third day. Interestingly, he seemed to be settling in better by then, and Katy ended up keeping him until about 2:00 rather than the noon pickup we had planned. Bagel was always happy to see Katy and willingly went with her each morning, which meant a lot to me. I also really liked Katy personally and appreciated how much she cared about making the situation work. Bagel was simply a much bigger handful in her home than I expected, and I think being around another dog all day made it especially hard for him to turn himself off and rest. I’m grateful for the effort Katy put in and for how much she genuinely cared about Bagel during his stay.”

About: I have many years of experience in the veterinary industry and animal health, and I've cared for animals my whole life, including senior pets, puppies and kittens, birds, and small mammals. I offer pet care on the side as my schedule allows, and my goal is always to accommodate what your pet is used to. For house sitting, my standard rate covers overnight care with normal daytime absences. I stay overnight and am out during the day, with potty breaks as indicated, plus meals and playtime. Some pets need more than that. Puppies, seniors, pets on medication, and dogs with separation anxiety often do best with someone home nearly full time. I'm happy to provide that level of care, but it's priced separately since it limits the other bookings I can take. If your pet can't be left alone for long, just mention it in your request and we'll sort out the right rate at the meet and greet. I also offer drop-in visits and dog walking, which are booked and priced separately. I offer pet care on the side as my schedule allows, with availability for drop-in visits, walks, and house sitting. I keep my calendar current, so if my profile shows your dates open, I'm happy to help — reach out and we'll set up a free meet and greet. I will treat your pets as if they were my own. I have a dog and 3 cats who are my world - it is hard to entrust them with anyone else and I imagine this is true for you as well. I hope to earn both the trust and respect of both you and your pets!

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for four dogs of different ages, breeds, and sizes. I currently have an 8-year-old mutt named Tucker who is incredibly sweet. Tucker previously went through heartworm treatment, so I have experience following medication schedules and giving medication as directed. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, basic grooming, and giving pets plenty of attention. I’ve also owned and cared for parrots, iguanas, lizards, hamsters, and many other animals. I genuinely love animals and will treat every pet like one of my own. I’m currently in college and only have about three hours of class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m available throughout most of the week for walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, and spending quality time with your pets. My apartment is very pet-friendly and comfortable, with plenty of places for dogs to relax. I even have a couch specifically for dogs, along with a dog bed and other cozy spots throughout the apartment.
