“Lilli provided several picture updates and videos of our Jojo. She was a wonderful doggy host and we thank her for her sweetness and kindness with our pup while we were away!”

“Heather and her son took amazing care of our dogs during our wedding weekend. She asked lots of questions ahead of time, sent us daily photos and check ins, and took the extra time to meet our dogs before their stay. My two normally anxious pups came home as calm as if they had been on a relaxing vacation. Her kindness and professionalism greatly reduced our stress during this crazy time, and I have already been recommending her to anyone who asks. Heather is the best!”

“Wrigley spent three evening with Alexander and her family. I must have received 20 or more pictures of Wrigley enjoying the backyard and walks. Wrigley has a wonderful dog smile that was evident in the pics, so I know she was having a great time. I will being scheduling Alexandra in the future.. Jim L.”

“Rebeka was absolutely amazing with our dog. He was new to us and we had never boarded him before. She took the time to meet with us beforehand to make sure it was a good fit. She sent multiple updates and photos to help put me at ease. She listened to our requests and did a phenomenal job. I will definitely use her in the future!”

“This was Sunny's second time with Lindy and she loves being part of the pack there! She's super tired when we bring her home but we know she has lived her best life while we were away. Lindy sends daily pictures of Sunny and we know she is being well cared for just like one of the family!”

“I needed a boarding for a couple of nights for my dog, Kinako, at the very last minute. Jessica and her family were very accommodating to my request. When we had a meet in the evening before, I had a faith and I knew they are the ones! Kinako immediately made herself comfortable at their home. Their dog is sweet and friendly. They made friends with each other right away. While I was away, it was great to see the update picture, and I felt at ease. When I picked Kinako up, I could tell that she had a wonderful time at their lovely home. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us. Kinako and I are looking forward to the next opportunities.”

“Cooper and Chase had a very good second stay with Nathan and Courtney. They were giving a lot of attention and spent time in the fenced backyard. A much better alternative to a kennel. We were sent pictures every day to keep up with how our boys were doing.”

“Ana was phenomenal with my fur baby! Right off the bat I could tell she was thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely cared about our little furry family members she provides care to. I am sooo grateful I found Ana on Rover, and if I should need to board my sweet little fur baby in Fayetteville again in the future, Ana will be the first person I reach out to. Thank you Ana! 😇”

“Victoria was such a great sitter for my two kitties! She even got my skittish boy to open up and be social on her very first visit. I loved the detailed updates and she took the cutest photos to send me! Very thankful to feel so at ease while we were away.”

“I cannot even begin to describe how amazing Brittani is! I have never seen someone show so much love and care for an animal that isn’t theirs in my entire life. She not only wrote detailed paragraphs every visit, but visited my kitty on off-days just to keep her company at no additional cost. I hope to never use another Rover again for as long as we live in this area! Don’t consider anyone else, Brittani is an absolute gem”

“Melissa was absolutely wonderful while watching over my three cats, Ponyo, Beaux, and Niko during my trip to Texas. She had great communication the entire time, was always prompt, and made sure they were fed, played with, and that the litter boxes stayed clean. She was very friendly, easy to talk to, and immediately made me feel comfortable leaving my cats in her care. It was also really reassuring to read about her education and background with animals, especially since Beaux is a senior kitty that I naturally worry about whenever I travel. It was great meeting her, and I would absolutely recommend Melissa to anyone needing pet care help. She genuinely gave me peace of mind while I was away. 💜”

“Alanna took care of my two kitties for 6 days. I honestly don’t feel comfortable leaving them with anyone else but her. She sent me the cutest pictures and videos of them playing and cuddling. This is my 2nd booking with Alanna and definitely not the last :). Thank you Alanna!”

“Emerald has done check-ins for my cat a couple times while I was out of town. She is very caring and reliable. She sent updates and photos for each visit. I feel that she went above and beyond in her services. I could see that my cat felt safe and loved her from the photos she sent, but also when we got home he was happy as could be.”

“We were in need of someone to come help watch over our pup while my now wife and I got married. Marcia was awesome and took away any worries. Definitely my go to for any future needs. Would recommend using Marcia if you’re ever in need of some help.”

About: I've had experience in handling and providing care for cats of all temperaments from my own to working with boarding cats at kennels and the SPCA. I am comfortable adminstering medicine through food or using a pill pusher or pill pockets. Growing up one of my cats had issues with her kidneys and I administered her pills with a pusher as it was the only way to reliability know she received her life saving medicine every morning. I have a young cat of my own who is a bit on the spunky side but I love him reguardless of all the sass! At the SPCA I made sure all our cats in the facility were fed and had a clean kennel. I enjoyed free time providing enrichment through play or for the more shy cats sitting quietly and allowing them to come and go as they pleased.

As a stay-at-home mom of three children, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable and attentive pet care throughout the day. “We love Ciera and definitely refer her to everyone! We are repeat clients of hers. She’s passionate about caring for our two puppies and even stops by to say hello to them if she’s in the neighborhood caring for other animals.”

“Kim is awesome. She took good care of our older dog and went above and beyond caring for him and watching over our home. I’d highly recommend her to anyone. It’s a good feeling to know we have someone so dependable to count on when we leave town to take such good care of our dog.”

“Charlotte had a great day with Lilli and her family! We are thinking she will be in the rotation now for my Charli girl. So many cute pics and I could tell she was loved. About: Hi, I’m Izzy – an educator and lifelong animal lover! I grew up with cats and dogs and now have two sweet, friendly pups of my own. I’ve worked at a dog grooming salon, cared for pets over school breaks, and love providing reliable care when pet parents need a helping hand. Whether your dog is a high-energy adventurer or a mellow homebody, I’ll adapt to their needs and give them all the love they deserve. I’m happy to provide references from other families I've worked with! I look forward to connecting soon. I work remotely as a teacher so I am available during the week and on weekends! I am happy to come to your house for drop in visits or walks. I also do offer doggy daycare in my home for one dog a day. I have two dogs of my own who love to have visitors. Your dog’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I’ve cared for dogs both in my home and in their own familiar space. I always follow your pet’s routine and preferences to make sure they feel secure. I have two friendly, crate-trained dogs who love making new friends, and my home is pet-safe and well set up for boarding or drop-ins. I'm happy to arrange a meet-and-greet so you feel totally at ease!
About: Hi! I’m Kat — and I offer personalized walks and enrichment as a trusted extension of your dog’s care team. I know how hard it is to leave your dog. They’re family. Clear communication and consistency matter, and I take that seriously. Every visit is an opportunity to build trust — with both you and your pup. You’ll receive thoughtful updates that include notes on energy, potty, behavior, and anything I’m noticing (because yes, I absolutely pay attention to the details). I truly treat each dog as the individual they are. Some are bold explorers. Some are thoughtful observers. Some love a purposeful walk, while others prefer a slower pace with time to sniff and take it all in. I adjust each visit based on age, health, temperament, and your household routines — meeting your dog where they are and supporting what helps them thrive. I’m especially attentive to patterns — what helps a dog feel calm, confident, and engaged. Safety and steady leadership are always my priorities. I’m mindful at doors, leashes, transitions, and the environment around us so your dog’s experience is secure, structured, and positive.
“Marvel had a terrific day with Kristina and her pup, Murphy. She provided pictures and videos throughout the day which helped calm my nerves as this was a new family. We will be scheduling more visits !”
About: I’ve owned up to 4 dogs at a time. Having that many dogs in my house together, I’ve learned how to meet their needs and keep them happy. I also have two sweet dogs of my own that are friendly and playful.

“My dogs love Annie! Even my dog who typically does not like other people loves the little treats Annie brings and the walks she takes them on. My dogs were well taken care of and got to socialize with Annie's dog during their boarding stay. Annie is flexible and reliable and goes out of her way to be helpful. Highly recommend!”

“Emetals stepped in on very short notice when my regular dog walker had an emergency, and she was amazing. She was incredibly responsive, warm, and worked with me to find the best schedule for my 7 month old puppy. What stood out most was how happy and relaxed my pup was when I got home. This tells me she felt comfortable and well cared for. That alone says everything to me about the care Emerald provided. I’d absolutely trust her with my dog again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable and genuinely caring.”

About: **Unfortunately due to the app taking 20% of my pay, I’ve had to increase my pricing. Happy to work around this and discuss further** I've had at least 10 years of dog sitting experience, however I grew up with animals of all sorts in my family. I will spend a lot of time with them, making sure they’re comfortable and happy. I’m home all day since I go to school online, so I have plenty of time to watch and spend time with them. I love to go for long walks with the dogs, and take them to the local dog park to play (only if approved by owner) I treat my clients pet as if they’re my own, with care, attention and lots of love. I make sure they’re comfortable, and if they’re shy I give them the time and space to adjust. I have had experience with dogs and cats with many different personalities. You can trust that they will be taken care of & loved.

About: I’ve taken care of small and large dogs. I own an anxious queen who needs lots of special attention, and she’s taught me a lot of dog behavior and signs. I’m a teacher on summer break, so I have all day to spend exercising your pup! I take my own dog on lots of walks, but am mindful of the heat and need for hydration. I pay attention to what the dog is comfortable with and love on them like they’re my own (treats, pets, play, encouraging words, etc.). If they need space, though, I understand.

About: As a US Navy veteran and former firefighter/EMT, I bring a meticulous attention to detail that ensures your pet’s care instructions are followed precisely. You can rest assured that your beloved companion will be cared for on the agreed-upon date and time, and that they are in capable loving hands with me. I possess a profound affinity for animals and have extensive experience in providing care for a diverse range of animal breeds both feline and canine. I have dedicated over 30 years to nurturing animals of various sizes and complexities. My calming demeanor and compassionate approach enable me to treat your four-legged family members with the utmost care and affection. I am currently going back to college that is self paced and have pretty much an open schedule to care for your pets. I utilize my weekends to spend time with my family and prefer not to book pet care on weekends. I possess a professional mindset and work ethic. I will adhere to your care instructions as outlined and demonstrate respect for your property, pets, and time.

About: My experience in pet care is extensive. From helping raise and train my own family dogs as child, to working at different animal facilities, I have experience in many different/difficult situations I may face. While I lived in New York I worked at a high end Doggy Daycare and boarding facility that prided itself in creating a certified "fear free" environment for dogs. In a daycare setting I handled and monitored up to 25 dogs in a safe and ethical way. I learned how to read different dog body language cues and how to handle small to XL size dogs. I took a lot of pride in the environment I created for my playgroups so dogs could enjoy safe, fun interactions with each other. I also worked as a kennel technician at the same facility. I did potty breaks for up to 50 dogs, cleaned kennels to propers standards and provided enrichment and feeding for all of our guests. I have experience in how to handle aggressive or stand offish dogs in a safe and manageable way. I also learned a lot about animal health and helped provide care for special needs guests who may have disabilities due to age or that were on seizure watch. Any issues or concerns I had health wise were immediately brought to my supervisors so it could be brought to the owners attention. I worked at Resorts Boarding and Play in two different times for about a year and a half total. After my time at this facility I worked at the SPCA Serving Erie County as an animal caretaker. It was here I gained more exposure to different temperaments in dogs and cats and how to work with them while also cleaning their kennels so they had a clean safe space to enjoy. I enjoyed helping all these pets in desperate need and watching them come out of their shells and experience joy more and more. It was one of the most rewarding parts of that job! When I moved to North Carolina I spent a few months working at 7 Lakes Kennels as a kennel technician again. I cleaned kennels and helped pair dogs for daycare play. I handled medicine distribution to dogs who needed it, cleaned potty yards and of course, played with many dogs! I again had previous experience in handling some tougher dogs so I was comfortable in helping others with some guests who had behavioral challenges. I also did feedings for the guests under my care for the day and took everyone out for potty walks at allotted times. Although I have only professionally been in the pet care industry for about 3 years I consider most of my life as experience from also doing all pet care for my animals growing up, including pushing pills for my childhood cat who had issues with kidney function. I fed all my childhood pets morning and night. I handled supplements for my goldendoodle who had hip and joint issues later in life. I have tons of techniques to help dogs take medicine in an enticing manner. I also made sure my dogs received 20-30 minutes of intense exercise a day to meet their large dog requirements as goldendoodles. They preferred playing ball but also enjoyed added on walks. I am sincerely passionate about providing top-notch care to pets and have shown that to many previous employers who always enjoyed my attention to detail and efforts to work with the animals regardless of any behavior issues or health concerns they faced. I am stay at home as of now so I have plenty of free time on my hands. I prefer to be at home rather than out so the only time I gone really is to run errands or be at the gym. I enjoy an active lifestyle so I do walk my dogs a bit or allow them to run around outside and play with them. I have a set feeding schedule for them. Breakfast is 8 am and dinner is 5 pm. I have done both of my dogs basic obedience myself as I'm looking to advance in the dog training field. I hope to start schooling soon to get my certifications. I have used different techniques for both of my dogs as they have different temperaments. I strive to understand my dogs thoroughly and work with them rather than force them into overwhelming situations. We always start small and build from there once they show they understand a concept or become more comfortable in a new environment. Both of my dogs are crate trained. I love them very much but I finds crates are a very helpful tool to help teach self control and give them a space they can call their own. I am happy to follow any instructions you may have for me through a text message or written out on paper. If you have any concerns I am happy to communicate with you while you are away! At one boarding facility we would send out pictures every three days of a fun activity we did with the dogs to help ease owners minds. I am more than willing to do something like that for you everyday! I totally understand the worry of being away from your best friends! I do ask if your dog boards with me that they come with their crate/kennel. I find it a bit easier for a dog to decompress in a new environment if they have something that is familiar for them. Blankets that smell like you are a plus. I am more than willing to clean toys and bedding before you come to pick up your buddy again. If you want feeding done at certain times I'm happy to do that as I have a free schedule just taking care of my home. Walks, playtime and interacting with dogs are must to keep spirits up while you are away so I am happy to provide these services as well! Of course attention and love is given regardless to any pet I am watching! I am comfortable adminstering medication according to labels or any supplements/treats you provide your pets! I ALWAYS listen to and watch dogs for body language cues. I find that respecting dogs leads to a much better relationship between caretakers and friends. I have extensive training through "The Dog Gurus" my first employer provided all employees. This taught me different play styles for breeds, how to monitor health through potty habits and what to look for in concerning poop. I learned the warning signs of seizures and how to handle them as well as what to watch for if a dog may have a parasitic infection. I was also taught signs of stress and techniques to help prevent them through providing familiar scents, toys or approach. I am aware of and use certain skills in approaching nervous dogs-become smaller and less threatening by turning your back slightly and not holding direct eye contact. I always allow a dog to approach me by offering my hand from a distance and letting them decide if they want to interact or not. For dogs who were sensitive or reactive about touch around their neck while working I used a "double slip lead" technique so I wouldn't have to get into their personal space while putting a lead on them. It also made it safer to remove a lead by never having to physically touch the dog, rather gently pull one lead attached around the other and they would both safely slip off the dog. Understanding a dogs temperament and triggers is vital for me to work safely and effectively with any dog I encounter or interact with. Please always offer all information on your dog to me during a meet and greet session. I would rather have "too much" information on your dog than feel like I'm scrambling with questions later on while you are away. I enjoy working with all different types of dogs and love learning about their personalities and things they enjoy. I feel confident in my skill level and experience to provide safe, loving, enjoyable care for all your four legged family members.

Jim L.”

“Rae absolutely loved staying with Ashley. I received daily updates and photos of her stay. Ashley and her dog Emma were very welcoming and made Rae feel right at home during her stay. I would highly recommend Ashley for future visits while in Savannah.”

About: Hi! I’m your friendly neighborhood pet sitter—animal nerd, plant parent, and professional chaos manager 🌿🐾 From pocket-sized hamsters to majestic Great Danes, opinionated parrots to mysterious snakes, I love animals of every variety. Fur, feathers, or scales? I’m in. I approach pet care like a science and an art—learning routines, decoding body language, and adapting my care to match each pet’s unique personality (yes, even the dramatic ones). When I’m not hanging out with pets, I’m probably fussing over plants and making sure every living thing around me is thriving. Whether it’s following a color-coded care sheet, calming nervous pets, administering meds, or watering your beloved jungle, I’ve got it handled. You can head out knowing your pets (and plants!) are safe, spoiled, and genuinely cared for by someone who treats every home like a tiny ecosystem worth protecting. 🐈🌸🐶🐍🌱 Your furry, feathered, or scaly friends will be happy, safe, and well-loved while you're away! My wife and I recently made the move to Southern Pines from Florida and have been enjoying getting to know the community—especially its many pets! I believe good pet care starts with clear expectations, happy routines, and making sure every member of the household—furred, feathered, scaled, or leafy—feels safe and well looked after. I’m happy to offer pet sitting, house sitting, doggy daycare, and more. I have a large fenced backyard for safe playtime and live in a lovely, pet-friendly neighborhood, perfect for walks, adventures, or just soaking up some sun. Your furry, feathered, or scaly friends will be happy, safe, and well-loved while you’re away!
