My dog is old, blind and deaf, so I do worry when I go on vacation. If I am not near, he gets very anxious. And it is hard for him to navigate a new place. But after our meet and greet, my own anxiety began to leave. Rachel and Donald sent more than one daily update with pictures. For once, I was not in a hurry to get back home! When I picked him up, he acted like he would have been fine to stay longer. I could tell they loved on and cared for my dog as well as I do. About: I have taken care of animals ever since I was younger. I would get paid to walk dogs around my neighborhood and to check on cats. I love hanging out and loving on all animals! Being in college, it makes it hard to have one of my own, but this will allow me to opportunity to be around all the animals that I love! I treat and love your pets as if they are my own! About: I’ve always been an animal lover, from horses to reptiles! I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, and some of the others throughout. We recently lost our dog to cancer at just shy of 13 years old, and I’m currently volunteering as a dog walker at the animal shelter to help fill that void. With the limited hours available there, I thought we could try this avenue as well. I work full time, but my daughter and I would love to find a dog to walk Wednesday through Friday evenings, or weekends! We are available some weekends for dog/cat care while you’re away as well. We love walking dogs, playing fetch, petting them, and providing lots of love. We enjoy playing with cat toys, and giving them plenty of attention as well.

Currently I have Pippa, a 7-year-old Labrador who is allergic to chicken, so I make part of her food. I am home most of the time, except when I host overly-complex board games at the Hickory Library or the Highland Rec Center -- and those sessions are at most 3 hours long. I am home most days, except when I am hosting 3-hour board games at the local library and rec center. Otherwise, I take care of our house and rental properties. About: Animals just relax around me. I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me. I prioritize play, love, and connecting with each individual pet I watch however they specifically need. I’ve looked after animals of all breeds, ages, & temperaments- from anxious & fussy older pets to energetic young puppies. I have experience administering medications to sick animals, hand feeding injured puppies, walking several pets at once, and managing dogs & cats that are a bit wild. I’ve even cared for lizards, turtles, fish, plants (haha), hamsters, birds, & rabbits. Whatever their needs, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, & at home while they’re with me. I am a potter who works from my home studio, and I make my own schedule- so I can generally be flexible and accommodate your pets needs. I love having pets in my home, and breaking away from my studio to get some fresh air and puppy/kitty love too! If I’m working on a big project, it’s nice to have to flexibility to come and go from my studio when possible, or have your pet there with me- but I have worked out all kinds of house sit/drop in/boarding arrangements according to the needs of clients and their pets. About: My family has animals and I have spent 9 years helping take care of their dogs and two cats. I have two dogs of my own and I have trained them myself as well as knowing when they need space, fed, or walked. Currently i don't work so i am free any day and anytime to be able to watch your animal. Animals are my best friend and I know they are yours too! I feed my animals twice a day based on their needs. Before him I had another Aussie (female) who acquired cancer around 7-8years old, because of this I have sadly become very skilled with working with sick/hurting dogs. I also love to train dogs, my current Aussie has a Novice Trick Dog title from AKC and we are working on his intermediate title while learning Conformation skills and Therapy dog skills. I am very patient with the pups and am a big believer in positive reinforcement. My Aussie is registered and I am very good friends with his breeder who is very knowledgeable in this field and is always happy to lend a hand. Currently I have no dogs at home, because I live in Tennessee for college and my Aussie is back with my family in Texas. Thanks for your consideration!! I love walking dogs (I live in a safe-gated apartment complex) and chilling on the couch with sweet cats! I have a large apartment, and can take the dogs on long walks to suit their needs. About: I have taken care of animals ever since I was younger. I would get paid to walk dogs around my neighborhood and to check on cats. I love hanging out and loving on all animals! Being in college, it makes it hard to have one of my own, but this will allow me to opportunity to be around all the animals that I love! I treat and love your pets as if they are my own!
