“If you have a dog with needs, or just a dog you love, I would highly recommend Rachel and Donald to you! It was such a blessing to go on vacation and not worry about my pet! My dog is old, blind and deaf, so I do worry when I go on vacation. If I am not near, he gets very anxious. And it is hard for him to navigate a new place. But after our meet and greet, my own anxiety began to leave. Rachel and Donald sent more than one daily update with pictures. For once, I was not in a hurry to get back home! When I picked him up, he acted like he would have been fine to stay longer. I could tell they loved on and cared for my dog as well as I do. About: I have always had dogs and cats personally, and am now fortunate enough to have a nice backyard to share with other non-aggressive dog friends. About: I’ve always been an animal lover, from horses to reptiles! I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, and some of the others throughout. We recently lost our dog to cancer at just shy of 13 years old, and I’m currently volunteering as a dog walker at the animal shelter to help fill that void. With the limited hours available there, I thought we could try this avenue as well. I work full time, but my daughter and I would love to find a dog to walk Wednesday through Friday evenings, or weekends! We are available some weekends for dog/cat care while you’re away as well. We love walking dogs, playing fetch, petting them, and providing lots of love. We enjoy playing with cat toys, and giving them plenty of attention as well.

I have a set time to take my puppy out as he is still going through potty training My apartment is pretty open for the fur babies to room around and I have a small fur baby of my own that can play with! There is a big area of grass around my complex where they can go potty and play and a dog park right up the street.

About: I have had, rescued, and taken care of a wide variety of dogs from smaller malti-poos to a Dane who had been living on the street, was skin and bones, and ended up 188 lbs. Currently I have Pippa, a 7-year-old Labrador who is allergic to chicken, so I make part of her food. I am home most of the time, except when I host overly-complex board games at the Hickory Library or the Highland Rec Center -- and those sessions are at most 3 hours long. I am home most days, except when I am hosting 3-hour board games at the local library and rec center. Otherwise, I take care of our house and rental properties. I have a large fenced yard -- especially-so since my house sits along North Center Street. I also use carabiners to make sure that gates are locked.

I love having pets in my home, and breaking away from my studio to get some fresh air and puppy/kitty love too! If I’m working on a big project, it’s nice to have to flexibility to come and go from my studio when possible, or have your pet there with me- but I have worked out all kinds of house sit/drop in/boarding arrangements according to the needs of clients and their pets. Let’s talk! I live in a peaceful home with a large fenced in backyard, and nice quiet streets to walk with your pet as needed. I will follow whatever routines you generally stick to and prefer when working with your animals. Give me all the details of your needs and preferences, boundaries and particulars- no matter what type of sit- so I can be sure you and your pet(s) feel a sense of trust, ease, and predictability.

About: My family has animals and I have spent 9 years helping take care of their dogs and two cats. I have two dogs of my own and I have trained them myself as well as knowing when they need space, fed, or walked. Currently i don't work so i am free any day and anytime to be able to watch your animal. Animals are my best friend and I know they are yours too! I feed my animals twice a day based on their needs. I walk my animals 4 times a day or 3 times day depending on the day. I also help my family with their animals and have been for 9 years

“If you have a dog with needs, or just a dog you love, I would highly recommend Rachel and Donald to you! It was such a blessing to go on vacation and not worry about my pet! My dog is old, blind and deaf, so I do worry when I go on vacation. If I am not near, he gets very anxious. And it is hard for him to navigate a new place. But after our meet and greet, my own anxiety began to leave. Rachel and Donald sent more than one daily update with pictures. For once, I was not in a hurry to get back home! When I picked him up, he acted like he would have been fine to stay longer. I could tell they loved on and cared for my dog as well as I do. About: I have always had dogs and cats personally, and am now fortunate enough to have a nice backyard to share with other non-aggressive dog friends. I am a clinicial social worker who works from home. I have a flexible schedule that allows me time to take care of the animals. I wish I had a picture of when I am settled on the couch for the evening and all four of my pets are surrounding me. I love them and will love your animals with all of my heart. About: I’ve owned or taken care of dogs for over 50 years. Friends and family are very comfortable calling on me to care for their dogs. Currently, I am fully retired and miss my own little fur baby. I would love to snuggle and care for your dog. My hours are very flexible to suit your needs. I regularly walk dogs out doors and give them much attention.
