I began my career as a professional dog trainer/behaviorist in Southern California in 1996. It wasn't until after our move to Las Vegas in 2002 that my business was truly established. However, in 2011, we unexpectedly uprooted and moved to Houston, TX, and found myself heading into a new venture in the dog industry. During our 9 years in Texas, I become involved with other canine endeavors, including competing in AKC Conformation with our Akitas and Whippets and occasionally assisting in breed-specific and all-breed rescue organizations. After moving to northwest Mississippi in August 2020, we decided to continue offering our boarding and pet care services because of how much we enjoy it. In addition to playing with dogs, I have a part-time position in my home, which enables me to give each of our canine guests plenty of attention. My husband works full-time from home and is always available as a backup in case I have to run off to an appointment. Also living in our home are our two young adult daughters, Beth & Rachel. We are all dog lovers who also happen to be "dog-wise". Our own dogs are friendly and well-behaved and enjoy having fur-friends come to visit. Admittedly, we do have a good amount of dogs, but we have established a great routine and, if our fur-guest isn't too sure at first, we have plenty of options in keeping dogs separated until our fur-guest feels comfortable and happy. We have a considerable amount of experience at pairing dogs in appropriate play groups according to size, temperament and activity level. Our home is situated on nearly 2 acres with about a half-acre securely fenced for dogs to play in. Our active guests will have tons of fun outside playing with each other and chasing squirrels, in addition to spending a large portion of the day and all night relaxing inside our home. Our more sedentary guests have plenty of laps, couch space, and dog beds to laze around on. While crates are a useful tool for keeping dogs comfortable and safe, especially during the brief periods nobody is home, rest assured your sweet babies will not be locked in a crate for long periods. We also have extensive experience with many types of animals, such as chickens, goats, donkeys and horses and offer drop-in visits, where we come to your home to feed, exercise, and interact with your pet(s) and/or farm animals. Our fee is "per visit" and is the same regardless of the number of pets/animals. Additionally, I offer house sitting on a case-by-case basis where I spend nights at your home. Again, our "per night" fee is the same regardless of the number and type of pets/animals in your home or on your property. However, a premium may be assessed if the care of livestock is fairly substantial. Currently, we are only serving the areas of Holly Springs, Byhalia, and Red Banks for drop-in visits but are available to drive longer distances for house sitting. Feel free to request more information. We have a securely fenced yard and friendly dogs to keep your dog company during the periods I am working in my home office. Our weekends are typically not very busy, but there are 4 of us available to love and care for your pet. We begin each day with a quick stretch of the legs and a potty break followed by breakfast then playtime outside. Dogs are divided into small groups according to size and play style then rotated between fun time in our fenced yard and relaxing in our home on dog beds and couches. Evenings are often spent playing family games or watching a movie. For bedtime, dogs can sleep in our rooms, on the couch, or in their crate, depending on where they're most comfortable.
About: I’ve always had animals in the house growing up, I currently have a senior German shepherd, and a 2 month old orange kitten. I understand all animals are different and have their own quirks. I’m no stranger to cleaning up messes and unique feeding habits My schedule is quite flexible as I am a college student doing night classes, so I am free during the day at most hours. I’d be able to board animals, do drop ins, as well as house sit. I have a fenced in back yard, and a separate room your baby will be able to safely sleep in. About: I am overly loving towards dogs and have all the patience for them. I’m a physician associate and am comfortable taking care of pet special needs! I currently a travel PA and working on my doctorate so my schedule is quite flexible. When I am not traveling for work, I am home studying. I've cared for cats since a young age and have more recent hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I'm comfortable supporting both energetic younger pets and older pets who require a softer approach. I am able to handle animals gently, give oral/injection medications, routine care, play, and feeding. I am currently work part-time Monday through Wednesday from 10:00am-6:00pm. On Thursdays and Fridays, I'm fully available during the day and usually make plans around 6:00pm, but I'm always happy to stop by before or after. I'm completely available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for visits, drop-ins, or extended care. I always make sure I'm aware of any pet allergies, medical needs, and medications that must be given. I take care to keep toxic plants, foods, and loose wires out of reach, and I maintain clean litter boxes and bowls throughout my visits. About: Back in 2014, I attended Tennessee College of Applied Technology, graduated early with my diploma in Assistance Animal Laboratory Technicians, also with a certification in Purina Mills Animal Care Course. I have done an internship with North Shelby Animal Shelter as well as Bartlett Animal Shelte, where I took stray dogs/ abandoned out for walks and to play. About: Growing up in Arkansas, it gave me that country life! I’ve had ducks, a goat, a rabbit, horses, cats, ponies, dogs, and chickens as my responsibilities to take care of. About: I've had pets all of my life. I love all animals especially dogs. I currently have a toy poodle named jewels . Jewels is actually my sister's dog but she was born on my birthday and we've been inseparable since the first day I laid eyes on her. The love of a pet is unconditional and that's one of the characteristics i love most about dogs. They can sense danger and they can also sense when they are in good hands.
