Personalized care for your dog or cat - Altus

Highly-rated overnight sitters - Altus
“Mason literally was a like saver. We were visiting from New Orleans for a wedding in Oxford. The hotel was pet friendly but we realized quickly that our newest puppy ( who we had never traveled with) was a howler when left in the hotel room. Last minute we reached out to Mason who agreed to watch both our pups at the last minute. She was extremely accommodating and sent pictures and text messages to us the entire duration of their stay! I would 100% use Mason again.”
“Jennifer was so amazing with taking care of my dog thunder and giving him all the love and attention he needs. My dog is a husky so he comes with some accommodations and she was more than willing and able to accommodate him. Great at sending pictures and keeping you updated on your pup!”

“I was very anxious about leaving my 2 dogs with anyone I didn’t know. We have 2 Rottweilers and they have never stayed anywhere overnight before. When I contacted Morgan she responded immediately. Then agreed to meet us to be sure it would be a good fit before dropping them off. Once we met her she answered all of our questions and was extremely accommodating! Deacon and Diamond seemed to love her dog Pete and it would only be the three of them until we picked them up. Morgan let them sleep in the floor of her bedroom and sent pictures throughout their stay. I was definitely more relaxed knowing they were doing ok! I would definitely recommend Morgan as a sitter!”

“Leila is a great pet sitter! She is so good with dogs and really goes out of her way to make sure the dog is comfortable and feels secure. She is very good about sending pics and videos. I highly recommend Leila”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I've been pet sitting since I was a freshman in high school. Over the years, I've cared for pets with a wide range of personalities, needs, and routines. I genuinely love spending time with animals and strive to provide dependable, attentive care that helps pets feel comfortable and gives owners peace of mind. Whether it's playtime, walks, feeding, or simply providing companionship, I'll treat your pets with the same love and care I would give my own. I am currently available seven days a week and have a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide reliable, attentive care for your pets at all times! I live in a spacious condo in The Reserve in Oxford, which provides plenty of room for pets to feel comfortable and at home. While my backyard is not fenced, it offers a large open area for supervised outdoor time, and I currently have no immediate neighbors, creating a quiet environment for pets to enjoy. Inside, there is ample space for dogs and cats to relax, play, and move around freely based on their individual personalities and comfort levels. I also have experience caring for pets in my home, including housing and caring for one of my roommate's dogs for an extended period this past May. Whether your pet enjoys being active outdoors, playing inside, or simply relaxing in a calm environment, I am committed to providing a safe, attentive, and loving experience that helps them feel comfortable while you're away.

“Being the 1st time in 12 years I had to find someone to care for our 12 yr old who is diabetic and blind. Finding Graham was a blessing. I was gone 5 days and received pictures and updates a couple of times daily. I could not have asked for any better, thank you Graham for what you do…”

“Laney did a phenomenal job. She is kind, responsive, and loving. I never had any doubt that my two kitty cats were being taken care of when they were with her. I will use her again next time I go out of town.”

About: I have extensive experience caring for cats through both pet sitting and animal welfare work. Over the years, I have cat sat for numerous families, caring for cats with a variety of personalities, routines, and needs. In addition, I spent several years working in the cat room at a local animal shelter, where I helped care for cats of all ages, temperaments, and backgrounds. This experience taught me how to read feline body language, build trust with shy or nervous cats, and provide proper daily care, enrichment, and affection. Whether your cat is social and playful or prefers quiet companionship, I understand that every cat is unique and will make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Madison is a great sitter, very attentive and accommodating. I hired her for a week to watch my 2 month old kitten and judging on the photos she sent he loved her company. I would book with Madison again in the future!”

About: I’ve had a cat by my side my entire life, which means I truly understand their unique personalities, quirks, and needs. From cuddly lap cats to independent explorers, I know how to read their behavior and create a calm, safe, and loving environment. What sets me apart is my lifelong experience—this isn’t just a job, it’s second nature. I give every cat personalized attention, whether that’s playtime, brushing, or simply respecting their space. Your cat will feel cared for and understood as if they were my own.

About: Since high school, I have been trusted to care for a family friend's two cats whenever they were away. Because the cats had very different personalities, I learned how to tailor my care to each pet's unique needs whether that meant engaging in play and interaction or giving them the space and patience they preferred. This experience strengthened my love for caring for animals and taught me the importance of providing dependable, compassionate care that helps both pets and owners feel at ease.

About: I live for the mews and meows and maows. I taken house-sitting request for few cat families while they are on trips out of town. With each family I have sat for, I have gotten experience for different cat personalities from the frisky cuddles to hyperactive hunters to the prefers to hide. I’m confident that I can give you satisfaction knowing that your cat is safe, loved, and stimulated. I have three cats of my own and learned how to pick up on subtle behavior like illness or pain that cats tend to hide. One of the stand out skills I have acquired is bottle feeding kittens through my work with local shelters.
About: I have cared for my dogs, cats, and horses since I was a little girl. My chihuahua was handicap for 15 years and I was her caretaker. I have always had a strong connection and love for all animals and enjoy spending time with them. I have also had experience taking care of neighbors dogs while they have been on trips. I’m reliable, caring, and always focused on making pets feel safe and loved in your absence. I’m currently attending Ole Miss and I am a Junior. I only have 1 in-person class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This will leave plenty of free time to take care of your puppy or cat! I would make friends with your pet allowing them trust me and spend time playing and cuddling with them. I would respect your home and space while being with your baby! I will follow all instructions and aim to make your pet feel comfortable and maintain their normal routine.

“Jennifer was fantastic! We had never used a pet sitter before, and we really lucked out. She was very communicative and sent lots of updates, including photos and video. She obviously really likes animals, and what’s more, our cat, who’s usually shy and hides from strangers, really liked her! He came out and even played some. We won’t hesitate to book again instead of boarding. Highly recommended!”

About: I am the sole caretaker for my cat at home and have babysat other cats before. If there is one thing I know about cats, it's that they're all different. I would be very careful in figuring out exactly what your cat needs and wants from me!
About: Ive been around animals my whole life and have had and cared for all types of dogs and cats. I’ve helped out friends, family, and neighbors with everything from walks and feeding to overnight stays. I’m good with puppies, high-energy dogs, and older pets that need a little extra care. I’m super reliable and will make sure your pet feels comfortable and taken care of while you’re gone. I’m currently doing online school and working at the country club once or twice a week for a few hours so I’m home the majority of the day and have a super flexible schedule. My boyfriend who I live with is also always in and out regardless of his schedule so one of us is pretty much always home! I have two supper friendly and well trained dogs I consider my children. I crate trained my dogs as puppies but don’t use them anymore and let them on the couch and sleep in the bed, but would follow whatever rules you have for your pets in your home.

About: I’ve been caring for cats of all ages and personalities since I was 14 years old. People who I sit for trust me to feed, play with, and check in on their pets while they’re away. I’m comfortable with kittens, senior cats, shy cats, and administering basic care like medications, litter box cleaning, and following detailed routines. I’m patient, attentive, and make sure every cat feels safe and loved while you’re gone.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Altus
“Mason is super sweet, caring and an amazing dog caretaker When we visit Oxford we let her watch our 12 year Lucy during the day while we are busy at events. She is very responsive and always sends us some cute pics of our old lady.”

“I reached out to Graham pretty last minute to board my dog during a 5 day trip, and was so pleased. Great communication, and Graham and his wife took great care of my dog and sent daily picture updates. I was also glad that their sweet dog Toby was there to be a playmate. They had clearly bonded by the time I came to pick Bernie up. I would highly recommend Graham for animal care!”

“Jennifer is absolutely great with dogs my chihuahua is so scared of everything she made my baby at ease. This was a first to leave her she sent updates daily and photos couldn't ask for a better person to watch your furbabies. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone who worries as much as I do. She is the right person. Loves dogs couldn't happier”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve grown up caring for 5 dogs, a cat, a tortoise, and plenty of other pets over the years, so being around animals feels very natural to me. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I always try to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away. I’ve helped take care of pets for friends, family, and neighbors by feeding them, walking them, playing with them, and giving them lots of attention. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, young, or older, I’m patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m currently in class Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9am–12pm, and I work Friday and Saturday nights, but outside of those times I have a very flexible schedule. I’m available most afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and needs. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that’s going on walks, playing with them, or just giving them company and attention while you’re away. I always try to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in any environment. At our house during college, we’ve had 3 cats, so I’m very used to caring for animals daily and understanding different personalities and routines. I’ve also helped take care of foster dogs from the animal shelter, which taught me patience and how to work with pets that may be nervous or need extra attention. I’ll always treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they get lots of love, attention, and proper care.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was little — both big and small breeds. Caring for pets has always been second nature to me, and I make sure every dog feels loved, safe, and happy. From daily walks to playtime and snuggles, I treat every pup like part of the family I have class Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 11-12:15 but I’m free most other times for walks, drop-ins, or playtime! I’m super flexible with afternoons, evenings, and usually weekends. I don’t have a fenced yard, but I make up for it with plenty of walks and outdoor playtime. I have a small yard for quick potty breaks and always make sure pups are safe, leashed, and cared for like my own.

“Jenna is very sweet and made our anxious little dog feel right at home. We especially appreciate that she was able to accommodate us on short notice as we were in town for one day. We didn't worry a bit about him being in her hands while we attended an event. Great communication and photos. Highly recommend!”

Adventure-ready dog walkers - Altus

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. Growing up I had three dogs, one being a labrador, a golden retriever and a plot hound for 16 years. My three dogs I had since they were puppies till they were seniors one was 21 years old. One was 11 and one was 16 when they passed. Now I have two pit terriers that I have had for three years now. I grew up, always taking care of them. And taking care of my friends and neighbors dogs all throughout the years if they went out of town on a vacation or if they were just gone for the weekend I would visit and take care of them for the time being. I have taken care of a bunch of cats as well, because my friends and family have many. I have a lot of experience with taking dogs on walks especially big dogs. My three dogs were almost all 70 to 80 pounds and I would take all three of them on walks at the same time. I really enjoy being around animals and being able to take care of them. As of right now I am not working so my schedule is very flexible and I can accommodate almost every day of the week. Time or day that you need depending on your schedule, just let me know and we can definitely work something out. Right now I do live at an apartment which does not allow animals. So the space is not animal friendly at the moment. But I am working on finding a more friendly space.
About: I have had experience from dog walking and sitting the past 10 years! I am energetic and a major animal lover! My golden retriever nike can vouch for me :) I am available all days of the week!! I have no scheduling commitments besides class Tuesday and Thursday from 11-3! Feel free to reach out! I care for pets by keeping them occupied and making sure they live their best life! I am very assertive and reliable when it comes to in home pet care or walks!
About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life — from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets — and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I have hands-on experience with both dogs and cats, including training energetic puppies, providing gentle care for older pets, and everything in between. I love staying active, so you can count on plenty of walks, park adventures, and playtime to keep your furry friend happy and healthy. Beyond that, I pride myself on being attentive, reliable, and treating every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s keeping up with a high-energy pup or offering comfort and routine to a senior companion, I make sure every pet feels loved, safe, and at ease while you’re away. Caring for pets is such a natural part of my day — I honestly can’t imagine life without it! I’m a student, and my classes are only on Thesdays and Thursdays from 9-10:15 AM and 4-5:15 PM, which leaves me plenty of time to focus on spending quality time with your pets the rest of the week. I offer boarding during both weekdays and weekends, so your up or kitty will always have company and care while you’re away. I love starting the day with morning walks or park trips to get some energy out, and in the evenings we wind down with another walk, some playtime, or extra cuddles. I’m also happy to stop by your home for drop-in visits — whether that’s feeding your cat, letting your dog out for a potty break, or giving them some attention while you’re busy. I really do treat every pet like they’re my own — making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re gone. When pets stay with me, they become part of the household! I live in a cozy house with two friendly roommates — and we don’t have any pets of our own, so your furry friend gets all the love and attention they deserve. I have a big yard that’s perfect for stretching legs and sniffing around; while it’s intended, I always use a leash to make sure every outing is safe and secure. Inside, pets have plenty of space to relax, play, and feel right at home. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll make sure their usual routine stays consistent. I can handle feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, giving medicine, and of course, plenty of affection. I know every pet has their own personality and preferences, so I always take the time to learn what makes them happiest and most comfortable. Whether it’s belly rubs, fetch in the yard, or quiet snuggles on the couch, I’ll make sure your pet feels loved and cared for wherever they are. ❤️

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. Labs, Sheppards, goldens, etc I love them all. I’m very active and love to go on a nice walk or throw the ball with the dog! I currently have a block schedule for school. Only Tuesday / Thursday classes so I tend to have a pretty clear schedule on other days. I love to go on walks outside so it would be easy for me to incorporate a dog into that. I feed dogs and play with them or walk them. Dogs typically like me and feel comfortable with me around. I am clean and dependable.
About: Hi, my name is Lindsey, and I can't wait to meet your pet! I've been around animals my entire life, from cats to dogs, and have provided excellent care to captive animals such as wolves, bobcats, and more. I have about two years of professional dog grooming experience. I have degrees in environmental science, and am currently a postdoc researcher at the University of Mississippi. I took a break from doing Rover during graduate school, so my profile has been largely inactive since ~2019, but now that I have a normal schedule again, I'm back at it! My work schedule is generally flexible, so I can work around it to fit the best possible care for your pet. There is a dog park at my apartment I love to use, and the rail trail here in Oxford backs right up to my complex making longer walks convenient. I know I want the absolute best care for my own dog, so I promise the best care for your pets as long as they are with me! My work schedule is generally 8:30 - 4:30, with at least one remote workday per week. Usually, I have one day per week that I do field work, which makes for a longer workday, but I always know in advance so I can plan accordingly. On a typical day, I walk my own dog from 7:00-7:30am, come home for a walk at lunch around 12:00pm, and do a longer walk around 5:00pm with a short bedtime potty break around 9:00pm (sometimes earlier or later depending on how late we're up!) As Aldo has gotten older, he generally prefers shorter walks/hikes, but I am always flexible to make the length and difficulty of walks match your pets' needs. Aldo is crate-trained, and I still have a spare large crate to use if needed. Safety is my biggest concern, especially because he will get into any crumbs or trash can if given the opportunity. I have a security cam set up in my home that I check remotely to make sure pets are doing well throughout the day. I do not have multiple pets out in the living areas together when unsupervised, unless they're very familiar with one another.

About: With 10 years working in the pet industry from trusted stores like PetSmart and grooming salons, I have gained the knowledge to understanding animal behavior, recognize stress, perform grooming services. I have an experience with all types of dog breeds, reptiles, fish, small animals, and cats. I am dependable, detailed orientated, passionate about animals. I am able to administer medicine, confident with socializing dogs with other dogs and unfamiliar people, and always reliable in communicating with pet parents and you can depend on me to be there on time every time. Currently I am a stay at home mom and I have an open schedule Monday through Sunday. I can offer drop-in visits up to four times a day for one hour starting at 9am-10pm. Whatever your pet needs, I am able to accommodate to a schedule that works for you. For all services, I am observant and make sure to communicate about subtle behaviors and changes. I can accommodate one dog in my home for boarding and doggy daycare. I do not have a fenced yard can offer a leash walk around the neighborhood and leash free yard play. I am strict on sticking to feeding, walking, and potty schedules. I believe in healthy pets make healthy people and will wash bowls, clean up pet waste, offer brush outs, mentally stimulate your baby with games, pet design shows, go over personalized trainings, and support socializing with dog parks, my own critters, and children. Building trust with not only your fur or scaly baby starts with building your trust. I will take pictures and videos and give updates on mood and appetite.
“Jennifer's experience with younger and larger dogs was clear at her meet 'n greet with Xena. This was Xena's first experience having anyone besides us come into our home to take her outside. She clearly had a good time! Jennifer gave us all a wonderful step toward a confident, competent, neighborly dog. We will definitely use her again!”

I’ll also send regular updates and pictures so you can feel totally at ease while you’re away!! I have two dogs of my own and have watched many dogs back home so im very reliable!

I carefully follow all instructions, including feeding, medications, and routines, to keep things consistent.

I keep you updated with photos and notes so you always know how your pet is doing.

“Stuart and Victoria were awesome! I had never met them and needed to leave my 10-year-old Doodle for a week during Christmas holidays. He got to be their inside pet the whole time and their family loved on him like he was their own. They sent pictures and were very responsive to chat and be flexible. Your pet can also roam their land and get plenty of exercise. I would highly recommend!”
