We liked Chelsea immediately and our shy orange boy also walked right up to her during the meet and greet which is always a good sign. While we were gone (10 days out of the country), Chelsea was so loving with our cats and provided thoughtful updates with photos and helpful info. About: I worked as a dog walker and sitter for 3 years and had my own dog for 16. I’m comfortable with different temperaments, follow routines closely, and pay attention to behavior so things stay consistent and dogs feel settled. I work from home full-time, so I’m around throughout the day. I do teach yoga a few times a week, which takes me away for 2–3 hours at a time. Otherwise, I’m home and present with the dog. I’m in a single-family home with a large (partially fenced) backyard, though I prefer getting dogs out on walks rather than relying on the yard. I live near the Bentonville trails and greenway, so that’s where we go for longer walks - usually in search of the best sniffing spots. No other pets or children in the home. It’s a quiet, non-smoking space. Windows are usually open for fresh air, and there’s a big floor-to-ceiling window where dogs can hang out and watch the calm, quiet street. Our schedules are staggered so your pup would be let out first thing in the morning by myself and then my husband will resume until he leaves for work. Midday we have a family member come over and let the dogs go outside and allow them to eat and drink as well as have some time to play. They are never left alone for more than 4-6 hours at a time. The days I’m off I’m home and my husband works from home 2 days a week as well. We have had this routine for over 4 years now with our own personal dogs and there has never been any issues. We had a brand new privacy fence installed on July 12th! We have a half acre back yard so dogs will have plenty of room to run! We will do our best to accommodate any special requests you may have. Please note our home was recently built so our grass is still in the process of growing. There may be days your pet becomes muddy if conditions are rainy. I am happy to provide a bath for your pet for a small additional fee upon request. I also highly recommend doing a meet and greet prior to your stay to ensure your dog will be comfortable with my pets and around the house.
