“Mackenzie did a good job taking care of my cat’s basic needs (food, water, litter, etc). My cat is pretty aloof, a hider, and easily stressed by changes in routine so I appreciate Mackenzie’s patience with that. That said, I did feel that communication could have been better - particularly with a drop in that Mackenzie was over an hour late to. I was not made aware about how late she would be until the well into then scheduled drop in time. Obviously things happen and emergencies pop up, but I would have appreciated more of a heads up so I could potentially make other arrangements. Unfortunately, I do not have a “go with the flow” kind of cat and I do think it contributed to her overall stress in the situation. On the flip side, when my cat decided to hide a little too well during the next drop in, Mackenzie spent well over the allotted time looking for her and trying to make she was safe. She also offered to come back later and look again. I certainly appreciated the extra effort and offer of extra time. Ultimately, my cat was fine, fed, and safe which is the goal.”

About: I’ve been dealing with animals literally my whole life. I went to a technical school and I worked at a doggy daycare for 4yrs.Dogs are my passion/therapy. Im trying to save up enough to continue my education. I’m currently working as a part time dog groomer Mondays/Fridays, a little busier after holidays . While not at college I live with Baxter my yellow lab, and three cats Binx, Goose, and Milo. I work as a Veterinary Assistant during the summers.I have first hand experience with topical, oral, and aural medication as needed. I am currently a university student. I have the most availability on weekends. I’m available daily during weekdays in the morning and in the evening. I like to start slow especially with the more shy pets. From that point I may use treats or some time for slow sniffing. Once I’ve built a trust with your pet I find it helpful for the dog to watch you pass their leash to me as a passing or trust. For walks the dogs are always leashed. I offer both short and long walks and will match the pace that best suits your pet from slow sniffing filled walks to fast paced trots. I am available for both in home visits and overnight stays, feedings, bathroom breaks, and medication administration as needed.
About: Hello! I have previously built a small dog sitting clientele in the city of Columbia between the years of 2017-2019. In 2019 I moved to STL and worked through Rover for about two more years until I got a full time job. Currently dipping my toes back into pet care! Although I am in St. Louis I am willing to travel to areas including, but not limited to; St. Charles, Wentzville, O'Fallon, etc. My set days off are Sunday and Monday. I do still currently have a fulltime job, so for the time being I will only be able to do drop in visits and walks. I am comfortable working with either dogs or cats. I have a 4 year old orange cat that I rescued at just 2 weeks old, so I have experience working with very small kittens as well. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask! I work about 30 hours a week, but will not let this effect how I care for your pet! My days off are always Sunday and Monday, and I am available at anytime either of those days, as well as most evenings and certain mornings. I unfortunately cannot offer services in my own home, but I am more than willing to provide pet watching in the clients home. I am able to do drop in visits, feedings, hair brushes, playtime, walks or whatever your pet needs while you're at work or just out for the day.
