About: I once took care of five cats at the same time in an unfinished home. If that isn't enough for you, I also cared for my Grandfather's cat for two weeks, with said cat being afraid of me and its new environment. By making my presence known consistently but not forcefully, I managed to win her over. What sets me apart is my understanding of one key fact. You can't make a cat love you in the same way you would for a dog. Cats decide to enjoy your company if you've earned that privilege. Understanding how cats behave is what let me conquer the stories mentioned above. If a cat wants attention, I give it to them. If I see that they're getting bored, I play with them. If they want to be left alone, I leave them alone (unless they're obviously scheming to do something they shouldn't).
“Amanda was amazing! She did drop by visits for my 2 cats, one of which is very shy and the other is sometimes finicky with anyone who isn’t me. She was very patient with both of them and sent status updates and pictures which had the perfect amount of detail to let me know how they were doing while on vacation. She was also very responsive to messages and I never felt like I was waiting on her reply. She was well informed on taking care of animals and shows a great passion for animals as well! On top of that she went above and beyond what I needed her to do and also washed their water fountain and food bowls which I never even mentioned because I didn’t need her to do that! About: I’ll start with my experience, I have worked at a veterinary hospital, groomers, and doggy daycare! Currently working at a pet urgent care too so my hours may not work with you pets schedules. I know how to do basic first aid, any grooming, care for all types of animals, and I can notice different types of behavior changes. I will treat your lovely babies like they are my own. I currently own 4 dogs, all different ages and size. They are my babies for sure. I love to take them outside and get them running around and having fun when weather is nice. I can do walks for dogs. The second is a spacious, fully fenced double lot with rolling hills and lush grass, providing the perfect environment for your pet to run, play, and explore. *Dogs in our care must be crate trained during down time & at night. About: I’ve had dogs in my family since I was young. When I got older and moved out on my own, I ended up getting cats too. I currently have 2 cats that live with me, one was adopted and one was a stray kitten that I found in a thunderstorm. I’ve worked at a veterinary hospital doing tasks like feeding animals, administering medication, cleaning up after them, bathing them, etc. I have also worked at a couple of dog boarding shops. So, I can handle a lot of animals at once. I’m quick on my feet, especially when animals are getting too rough with one another. This happened a lot at the doggy daycares I worked at. But I know how to break up dog fights without hurting the pups in the process because of my experience there. I have been pet sitting independently for about 5 years, and I prefer it to being in a shop. I can have a closer relationship with the pets I watch this way. I’ve raised my own dogs and cats, so I know how to take care of them. I also know the certain behaviors to look out for, whether an animal is sick or not acting normal in general. I live on about 7 acres of property. The yard is not fenced, but I can take pups out on a leash. I do have 2 cats with me full-time but they’re very friendly. About: I got my first dog when I was three and have always had 5+ animals in the house. I am good with any breed of dog. I have some puppy training experience and I can also work with disability animals. I just need to know if they have medication and the time to take them or other accommodations that they might need. I’m not sure if people have reptiles that need sitting but I’m good with those too. I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to play with puppies or any other animals. I have always had a soft spot for animals so I love spending time with them. I have a dog who gets taken potty every couple of hours and is fed every morning and every night. I also have a cat and two leopard geckos. My cat and dog are usually upstairs so I can keep the other animals downstairs if they’re not pet friendly. My geckos stay in my room.

About: I haven't had my own pets in a long time, but I've cared for over a dozen pets that I treated like my own despite belonging to others. I've introduced myself to and won over plenty of pets with my calm and collected approach. The majority of my pet care experience has been through visiting the homes of family friends to give their dogs bathroom breaks and be sure they have some company for a while as their owners are at work or on vacation. On multiple occasions, I've also stayed overnight for multiple days at a time. Because of this, I'm well equipped to meet your pets smoothly and cohabitate with them. I currently work remotely and have plans to attend college online, so I'll have more than enough time to visit at the very least. I can absolutely stay over, as I can simply work wherever I have my laptop if need be. Your pets will always be the first priority, of course. I do not have pets of my own at the moment, but I always treat other people's pets as if they were my own and with respect. If they want attention, they get it. If they want to be left alone, they will be left alone (within reason). Any instructions regarding feeding and medicine will be followed strictly.
About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started caring for pets around age 6 and have continued ever since. I’ve worked in an animal shelter, giving me experience with a wide range of behaviors, personalities, and care needs. I learned most of what I know about caring for dogs from The Dog Whisperer. He really knows his stuff! Does your dog need walks and some extra training? I love walking for fitness and love it even more when I have a pup to join me. About: All my life, I have bonded with both dogs and cats, and animals in general. I have been told that I have an ability to connect with any animal effortlessly. While I have been dog-sitting for friends, family, and others for about four years, I also have worked as a Caregiver at CARE STL, an animal shelter in St. Louis. About: I grew up around dogs working at a grooming shop and love animals! My children are older. They are 21 and 18 and loves animals as well! I do wfh.
