About: I've been training and taking care of dogs for 33 years. I had a couple childhood pets then when I was 18 I adopted and trained a dog that stayed with my family for 15 years. I also had a Labrador who made it to 13 and my current old man puppy is 13. I've been with my husband for 20 years. We LOVE dogs of all ages and sizes. I'm a stay at home mom to my geriatric dog. We get up around 6am, go outside for a bit, come in and get breakfast, then lounge while I clean. Lunchtime we go out again, have healthy snacks like carrots, then play in the fenced in yard or the living room depending on weather and temperature. Late afternoon and evening we wind down and get ready for dinner. I have a fenced in yard, a friendly old dog, tiled floors, comfortable furniture that they're allowed on, and air vents that come from the floors (dogs love to lay on them). There is security on my home and absolutely nobody but delivery people come here during the day.
About: I have had dogs in my family since I was a child and have years of experience with various breeds. I work from home most days and happy to get active with the doggos. I have a loving a cuddly home and treat all my fur guests as family. As someone with a senior dog, I am very patient and know how to accommate the additional needs some pets may have. With my flexible work from home schedule, I am able to be home during the week, to take your dog out for walks, potty breaks, cuddle, and to play. I am also available on weekends. With the exclusion of running errands, while your dog is with me, they will never be left alone for more than a few hours extended amount of time. About: I’ve been the resident cat and dog sitter since I was a teen in my family and friend group. I have worked with dogs big and small, and cats of many temperaments. I have been an overnight sitter for both animals, and have experience walking, playing, following routines, and making the pets feel comfortable and loved. About: Hi, I'm the person your pet has been waiting for! I've had fur babies in my family my whole life, so I'm fluent in barks, meows, zoomies, and the very specific 3am guinea pig squeaking situation. Currently mom to a rescued German Shepherd mix who thinks he runs the house (he does), a bonded pair of cats who tolerate him, and a rescued guinea pig who is, frankly, the most dramatic member of the family. I have volunteered with KC Pet Project because animals don't just deserve survival, they deserve champions, and completed their dog and cat care training. Whether your pup needs a solid walk, your kitty needs lap time and laser pointer therapy, I've got you covered with love, patience, and an endless supply of baby talk. Your pet's comfort and safety is my whole thing. Drop-ins, walks, sit-ins. Let's make your time away the least stressful it's ever been. My schedule is genuinely flexible! I work part-time virtually running a nonprofit, so I'm not tied to a rigid daily routine. That means I can pop in as often as your pet needs throughout the day and into the evening, whether that's letting them out, refreshing food and water, or just hanging out for some ear scratches and couch time. And if your dog or cats do better with a consistent companion rather than drop-ins, I'm absolutely able to stay with them. Whatever keeps your pet happiest and most comfortable, we can make it work! Keeping the Peace (and the Pets Inside) Door safety is something I'm almost comically careful about. Before I open any exterior door, I make sure your pet is accounted for and not in a position to bolt. Cats especially have Olympic-level door-darting skills and I have a deep respect for that talent, which is exactly why I won't give them the chance to use it. I also do a quick walk-through each visit to make sure nothing is accessible that shouldn't be, food left out, cabinet doors open, small items on the floor, anything that could turn into a hazard gets addressed. And when I leave, your home gets fully secured, every single time, no exceptions. Out on Walks Every walk starts with a leash check, making sure everything is properly fitted and securely attached before we hit the sidewalk. Once we're out, I stay tuned in to what's around us. If another dog comes into view and is showing signs of reactivity or just seems like a potentially stressful interaction for your pup, I'll proactively move us away and give everyone space. I won't wait to see how it plays out. A calm, uneventful walk is always the goal.
About: I have been a foster mom and adopter for 18 years. I fostered 50 dogs through a local rescue group. We have had 7 dogs, all but 1 are/ were snow dogs. I'm a part-time small animal physical therapist at ARC where we teach agility and obedience, help rehabilitate cats and dogs with injuries and provide quality of life rehab for seniors or the terminally ill. We took our last babies before they passed to ARC for quality of life, they had degenerative myelopathy and kidney disease, respectively. I fell in love with the place and became a PT. I have a soft spot for senior dogs, they deserve all the spoiling to make their golden years filled with love, comfort and adventure. To me dogs are equal to people and should be treated even better. I have a fenced in back yard and a home made for dogs. We have a four seasons room with a dog door to use. I split the house up according to where your dog is most comfortable while I'm out. We never miss our morning walk. In the summer we take dogs swimming at my in-law's pool 20 minutes in Blue Springs. We also have kiddie pools and a sandbox to discover toys. They can sleep in the bedroom, family room or patio room. If they are kennel training then in their kennel of course, which is in the very comfortable dog room. I am able to administer all types of medication, whether it be oral, injectable, or IV fluids. I am able to do dog CPR, we are also 5 minutes from our vet as well. My home is the ideal vacation spot for your furry friend. About this sitter: I'm a licensed Esthetician and have an in-home spa. I work at ARC part-time, just three afternoons a week. Why I love dog sitting Ever since, I was a child I grew up loving dogs and wanting to stop puppy mills. I always knew I wanted to work with animals in some kind of capacity. I worked on Proposition B with the Humane Society of America. I want to help people feel confident leaving their pets when away from home. About my yard I have a 1/3 acre yard fenced all the way around. We have lots of trees and outdoor dog beds to hang out on under the hammocks. We have lots of squirrels to watch and all of our neighbors have dogs. We have a small wrap around deck that connects to our 4 seasons patio room with a dog door. My experience administering medication I am trained in dispensing all types of medicine; whether it be oral or injectable. I'm also able to do IV fluids and CPR. Your dog(s) will be a part of my family while you are away. They will go about their day doing what they normally do at home. They will be free to play and not be cooped up like at a daycare or vet facility. We have a million toys to play with and a nice neighborhood to walk in and lots of places to nap. We currently have two dogs, they both came from difficult situations, but they love to play with other dogs, it's people that can be intimidating. They prefer people that bring dogs in the house. We do slow introductions. We start with a walking meet and greet around the neighborhood and then we come in the backyard with your dog off-leash to smell and then they can all meet slowly. If all the dogs like each other then I do like a day visit if you will be gone more than a few days, so that your dog is comfy here. If you will be gone more than 2 weeks I recommend a night stay beforehand. I work part-time from home in my spa and part time at ARC on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. We walk every morning and most days I head to the gym after. Perfect time for the dogs to decompress in their own areas and nap. I have a nice fenced in yard with locks on the gates. All dogs are separated by gates and have their own comfortable spaces with multiple rooms. All dogs are fed separately for safety.
About: I’ve grown up with a strong love towards animals, but dogs take 1st place. I have taken care of over 10 dogs consisting of family, friends and people in my community, throughout the years and my love for them has grown stronger. I’ve been around special needs and senior dogs, dogs that need daily medication and dogs that have high energy, and I can promise that my services will make you and your fur baby extremely happy and satisfied. I currently work at a warehouse during the hours of 3am-9am Sundays through Thursdays. I am typically done with work before 9, often leaving around 8am. She is basically my daughters little sidekick and spends almost all of her time with her. She sometimes thinks she's a Doberman, but she's harmless and warms up quick. Once she warms up she's ready to run with the big dogs! They're both great girls and are used to new friends and visitors often. 😊 I'm home full-time and take care of my two kids, two dogs, and our aquatic turtle. About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life. I have a lot of experience with dogs and taking care of them. Friends always rely on me for dog sitting. I love to take dogs on walks, take them to the dog park, cuddle, and make dog owners feel comfortable leaving their pet with me. I’m currently working part time and my schedule is pretty flexible. I have the ability to come and let the dogs out to go potty many times throughout the day if I’m not home with them. But most of the time I would be there with them. I have a huge .5 acre fenced back yard to keep your dogs in. And two extremely friendly large dogs that always want to play. About: I grew up in the country with at least 4 dogs in the home at a time. Took care of dogs, geese, ducks, snakes, birds, and more. Since moving to Kansas City, I’ve missed having animals in the house and would love the company. 🤍 I work 9-5 Monday-Friday. My job does allow me to bring dogs to work as long as they are potty trained. So I’m pretty flexible! I have a duplex with an unfinished basement and backyard. I can put a grounded leash in the backyard and have a ton of space in the basement for dogs while I’m not home. I do not have any pets of my own at this time due to how much I travel.
