About: Hi, I am Joie, an experienced and caring pet sitter, dog foster, and owner of Dogwood Bed & Biscuit. I have had furry family members my whole life and have also been a dog foster for over 15 years. I just absolutely love all animals. I strive to provide a safe, fun home for the little dogs under 40 lbs. Ages 12 weeks to senior. I am experienced administering meds. Dogs are welcome to sleep wherever they are most comfortable, and I have more toys than most pet stores, as well as dog beds scattered throughout the house. I also have a dog door to the backyard; dogs are welcome to come and go to enjoy the sun in a safe, fenced-in yard or stay inside snuggled in a cozy bed. I can provide a kennel if the owner prefers. I will accept unneautered/unspayed pups but will not sit more than one at a time. I host meet-and-greets with all new families to ensure I am a good fit for your pup. I do work downtown in the afternoons on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but am home all day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends. I do not offer house-sitting or drop-ins, but I am available for dog daycare and boarding. I can also possibly provide pickups and drop-offs within a certain radius for an additional fee. Since I already have a Golden Retriever of my own, our home is very dog-friendly and we naturally have plenty of dog toys, supplies, and space for pups to feel comfortable. Our property is not fenced, so dogs will never be allowed to roam outside unsupervised. I’m more than happy to use a secure in-ground tie-out for dogs who are comfortable with one, or keep them leashed whenever we’re outside. I understand that every dog has their own routine, personality, and comfort level, so I’ll always follow your instructions and do my best to make your pup feel safe, loved, and at home while they’re in my care. Before their stay, I’d love for you to tell me a little about your pup—their personality, daily routine, favorite things, any quirks or tendencies they may have, and anything else you think I should know. About: Ever since I was a kid I was bring home stray cats to nursery back to health. I am still doing it back in September I found my current cat Jup outside in with a really young kitten. About: I’ve had animals in my life since I was a baby. I have always enjoyed being around animals and playing with them and building trust with them and being able to cuddle with them on tough days. I have had different types of animals in my life. I have had dogs, cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamster, bearded dragon. I currently work part time as a nanny on mondays and Friday and I also currently am trying to create my own business of refurbishing furniture when I have the time. So I am available most days. If yard is fenced I let them run and play and watch them at all times. Otherwise I will put a leash on them so they stay close. I will also pay attention to where they are at all times.

When I get him he is always a happy puppy and I can tell he is well taken care of. About: My husband and I are former dog foster parents and love meeting/spending time with new dogs! We have one resident (foster fail!) dog: Tesha, a rambunctious tripod who loves people. We especially love older dogs in our house but are open to dogs 1 year and up. We have a fully fenced in backyard and a tie out available for outside play time. We have space to keep dogs separated if you have a dog that is shy or needs very slow introductions (we have a three level home). Our resident pup is allowed on our bed if she chooses, but we have plenty of dog beds around too, and we do not allow dogs on our couch. We will do our very best to accommodate your pups needs and keep you updated on how your four legged family member is doing while you are away! I currently work from home and am able to take breaks to allow potty and attention breaks. My husband is also home most of the time and will be available when I am not. We like to do slow introductions to other dogs to ensure the comfort of our resident dogs and the visiting pups. We have the space to crate or allow roaming on separate levels if needed.

About: I work remotely in marketing full time. We’re very grateful to have a nice home with a wonderful, large, fenced-in backyard that allows the dogs to go potty in and explore (bark!). My availability and hours are very flexible and the dogs are rarely left alone or kenneled, they are free to roam the house, I just close doors as necessary. I have never owned a dog of my own, I just grew up around dogs and cats. Mainly and most recently, it was a sisters two dogs our family spent the most time around: Gibbs (15 lb., 13 yr old, male Jack Russell Terrier & Beagle mix) and Zero (65 lb., 5 yr old, male Standard Poodle). I would basically Rover for her and her husband, which including giving the senior, anxiety-ridden dog meds (he didn’t enjoy, he would spit them up). We enjoyed being outdoors and evening walks around the neighborhood and having them a part of our family. They have then since moved to the West coast with their dogs. I work remotely and am blessed with the work-life balance it offers. I have an energetic elementary school-aged daughter. She's an empath and truly cares for all animals wellbeing! She's deeply concerned about any discomfort or distress. We have a dog-friendly orange cat named Buddy (4). He's fed first thing in the AM and enjoys chin scratches. He stays nearby me in my office or does his own thing. My daughter buses to and from school and I take a hour lunch at noon, then am done at 5 PM and we go about our evening routine. Dogs go out every few hours (sliding patio door) to the fenced in yard or when they signal me. Right in the morning and before bed. I try to get as much activity in for us as possible, especially on decent weather days. We utilize a nearby parks, dog park and walking trails in our community. Having the dogs here really motivate me to go for more walks, the dogs love them and I appreciate the eager walking company. I also live with my younger sister (23). She works full time 2 jobs as a CNA/retail, isn't home much but does help me care for the dogs, such as a short walk around the block. Our home is a 4 bed, 3 level split with a finished basement. It has a large secure, fully-fenced in yard and the property has 11 trees. Garage is attached. We all sleep in the upstairs bedrooms which is also where my office is. I have 2 litter boxes for my cat, one in garage that he prefers. The other is in the basement bathroom, where I can keep the door shut (Ive caught sisters dog eating litter covered turds). Our neighborhood is very safe and quiet. I have a reflective sash I wear out at night (this summer I was nearly ran over by an SUV when it was dark). The dogs usually sleep on the floor in my room and it's OK if they sleep on the bed, I am not concerned about fur. If the dog stinks, I can give them a bath either downstairs in the wash tub or upstairs in the bathtub. If they stay longer and start to stink, I will bathe them, because everyone feels better after a bath.

I want the pets to always be as comfortable and stress free as possible, so whatever that looks like for them is what I'll provide.

About: I’m recently retired and have had dogs all my life, since being 7 years old. I had to put my last fur baby to sleep in January 2026, and my significant other's dog to sleep in September 2026. We will be traveling over the next few years so don’t want to get another right now, and really miss having a doggo around! I used Rover quite a bit when I had dogs so would love to pay it forward and help someone else. Plus then I hopefully will get my "fix"! Live in Madison Lake with my significant other and am currently very flexible, having just retired. I usually walk first thing in the morning and then after dinner when weather permits. I love to hang outside and read on the deck overlooking the lake, or work in the garden beds, so can take your dog on the leash outside too to be in the fresh air if they like that sort of thing. My first choice would be to host dogs in our house as we have a pretty good set up for dogs. But I'm willing to drive to Mankato or St. Peter area for pet sitting or dog walking because I understand some dogs are just better off in their own space, if it's a short timeframe.

Our property is not fenced, so dogs will never be allowed to roam outside unsupervised. I’m more than happy to use a secure in-ground tie-out for dogs who are comfortable with one, or keep them leashed whenever we’re outside. I understand that every dog has their own routine, personality, and comfort level, so I’ll always follow your instructions and do my best to make your pup feel safe, loved, and at home while they’re in my care. About: I have taken care of all types of animals since the age of 12. Most recently I have been working for almost a year at a dog boarding facility. I also own 3 dogs and 2 cats who have always been around other animals and are all up to date on vaccines I work from home and work Friday and Saturday during the mornings. About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. In my last year of Pharmacy School on clinical rotations. Would love to help others and help take care of your pets! During summer I’m working part time, so I’ll have lots of time to be available to pet sit! During the school year I am also available! I think it’s best for pets to stay in the environment they are familiar with. I will be respectful of the pet owners boundaries for their pets.
