Personalized care for your dog or cat - Ponsford

“I’m picky about sitters I choose for my pup since he’s very anxious with new people, but he took to Dan right away. He got along great with Dan’s dog and loved having the big yard to run around in. He had so much fun he didn’t want to come home at the end of his stay!”

About: I have years of experience working in grooming, doggy daycare, at a vet clinic, and a credentialed dog trainer. As a graduate of the Academy for Dog Trainers and member of the Pet Professional Guild, I take low stress, fear free management and training seriously. I do not use aversives such as prong, choke, or shock collars, I do not use corrections. I do use food, toys, happy talk and body language to motivate and redirect behavior. Please tell me if your dog has dietary restrictions or if you have allergies to common dog treat ingredients. As an owner of dogs with chronic health concerns I understand that medical concerns can be complex and require strict adherence. Medications, injections or other special needs are fine with me. *Please note I do have a staircase in my home. Your dog will need to be comfy with either using carpeted and walled off stairs or with me carrying them.* Having had to stop training due to my own health, I'm now primarily a work at home artist. This offers a great deal of flexibility in adapting to the needs of the dogs with me. I have a (tolerant) senior dog, a cat and two fenced yards for your dog to explore. Doggy guests are treated like family and join us in play, sniffing and relaxing.

About: I absolutely love cats and understand that every kitty has their own unique personality! Whether your cat is outgoing and wants constant cuddles or is shy and needs plenty of time and space to feel comfortable, I’ll follow their lead and make sure they feel safe and cared for. I’m happy to help with feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, treats, and lots of attention and affection. I also know how important routine can be for cats, so I’ll do my best to keep things as familiar and stressfree as possible while you’re away. Most importantly, I’ll treat your kitty like I would my own and keep you updated with pictures and messages so you know they’re happy and doing well!

“Nancy was a purrfect pet sitter for my 2 cats! I felt so at ease knowing she was caring for them and I got texts and picture updates which was great while away. They were very well taken care of! Above and beyond care from a true pet lover! I would recommend Nancy to anyone who asks!”

About: I've had cats my whole life growing up on a farm. I also have fostered cats in my home for animal rescue organizations. I have experience in administrating meds and have worked with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses with cats/kittens I've owned as well as fostered.

“Our girls had a great day staying with Dan and playing with his chocolate lab "Finn" Dan was available on schedule and provided us an update during the day. The pups enjoyed the nice fenced yard. I would recommend Dan to anyone looking for a pet sitter”
