“I can’t say enough great things about how fantastic Rachel and her family were with our dog, Larry. He was there for 5 nights over the 4th of July Holiday and had the time of his life. Rachel was so good about sending lots of pictures that we really felt like we had a good idea of how much fun he was having. Rachel’s family welcomed Larry like he was one of their own and their 4 dogs did a good job of showing Larry how life on the farm works! They even took him hiking at the nearby Pattison state park and he played a lot of fetch in their meadow and swam in the stream on their property. About: With almost 7 years of professional experience, you can trust that your pets are in good hands! I grew up on and around farms, so I have experience with pets ranging from dogs and cats, to goats and chickens, to lizards and guinea pigs and more. Now, I have my own little zoo at home, which includes a dog, a cat, two guinea pigs, turtles, and fish. I started my professional experience at the age of 16, when I started working at a doggy daycare. Once I moved to the Duluth area, I continued caring for pets through Rover and similar sites. In the last few months, I have started my own business petsitting and dog walking. In addition, I have done volunteer work through animal shelters and worked closely with dog trainers to expand my knowledge and experience with pets of all kinds. I currently work full time Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, as well as 9am-3pm Saturdays and 5pm-9pm Friday and Saturday nights. In order to make sure that my pets are getting all the love and attention they need, I will no longer be able to do overnight visits on weekdays. I am more than happy to stay over on weekends and do drop-in visits during the week, though! I love spoiling my pets, and would love to do so with yours as well. I have a lot of experience with complex feeding and medication instructions. I am also very active, so I can exercise your pup in a safe one-on-one environment, bring them to the dog park, provide mental stimulation with puzzles, or cuddle with them if they're a little older- whichever is preferred by you and your pupper.

About: Call me Kim, I have loved and cared for many animals starting at a young age, while growing up in the country. I have also had pets my whole life including; dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, chickens, turkeys, turtles, pet rats, fish, pigs, cows and horses. Your dog would have the option to be free in the house while we are home but we can also crate your dog if that is needed. If I am visiting your house, I am happy to let you dog out and play in the back yard if you have a fence. I am also happy to take your dog on a walk in any kind of weather. I am familiar with dog behavior and train with positive reinforcement techniques.

I have expanded my services to include dog sitting due to an increased demand for compassionate caregivers with medical knowledge. Many people are reluctant to leave their dogs at boarding kennels while traveling, particularly senior dogs and those with medical problems. Many dogs also experience high levels of stress while boarding. I provide an alternative to the traditional kennel experience by providing care out of my own home. Dogs that stay as guests in my home are provided with lots of individual attention. They are not locked in kennels, instead having free access to my home and yard. As an experienced Veterinary Technician I am also capable of caring for dogs with a broad range of medical issues, including Diabetes, Cushing's, Addison's, Epilepsy, Cancer, animals recovering from recent surgery, and more. Should your pet require emergency medical care, I am trained in animal CPR and live 5 minutes away from the clinic at which I practice. I care for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. There are however, a few prerequisites to ensure that your dog will have a safe, happy stay in my care. Firstly, I an unable to care for dogs that have a history of aggression toward other dogs, or toward human adults or children. No exceptions. Secondly, dogs in my care must be current on Rabies and Distemper vaccinations. I also require proof of a negative fecal sample performed within 1 year prior to their stay if regular dewormings are done (i.e. year-round HeartGard). My husband and I have lived our whole lives surrounded by pets and animals so we have experience and lots of love to give! I currently work a few very long shifts a week instead of daily leaving my home so I will only accept pets the days I am at home and available to give pets the attention they deserve. We have a large yard that is unfenced. We have one pup ourselves and two kitties. Our typical routine for our pet is to spend lots of time outdoors and on walks, to allow free feeding and sleeping in our bedroom on a pet bed on the floor at night, and crate training for when we are away from home. We can accommodate adjustments to this routine for your pet when they are at our home to accommodate feeding and kenneling schedules.

I only do gig work, so my schedule can fit around whatever your needs are. If something ever changes, you can always reach out and we'll work something out. About: Living on a farm, I have a lot of experience interacting with animals of all kinds. Running a farm of any size is not a one person job so my family is a big part of my life. I can’t imagine a better place to live doing something I love. Pet care is an integral part of my daily routine. Whether it is feeding and watering our chickens and cows or grooming our dogs, I work hard to ensure our animals are cared for. I am a stay at home mom so your four legged friends will rarely be left alone. I work hard to follow any instructions owners may give me. About: I have had multiple dogs ever since I was born and love providing care for them. About: Call me Kim, I have loved and cared for many animals starting at a young age, while growing up in the country. I have also had pets my whole life including; dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, chickens, turkeys, turtles, pet rats, fish, pigs, cows and horses.
