“Absolutely could not be happier or more grateful for Margarita and her family. The whole process was super easy and after the meet and greet I left feeling 100% confident that bubba would be in great hands. Then traveling back home from Sioux Falls, we get hammered by blizzard conditions. The last 20 miles before finally giving up, I could barely see the lines on the road, let alone any cars in front of me. So we pulled off and checked in to a hotel. Thankfully Margarita was SUPER understanding and reassuring. I was in a bit of a panic worrying about this and that, and the fact that Loki didn't have to be one of those worries was a huge relief. When we finally made it back the next day I could tell he wasn't super thrilled about leaving, which is always what you want to see. (And with that massive yard, I can't blame him!) Will definitely be "boarding" with her and her family again in the future! Super communicative with updates and photos to put our minds at ease.”

Over the years, I’ve been trusted to care for pets while their owners are away, making sure they’re fed, walked, played with, and given plenty of love and attention. I pay close attention to each dog’s normal routine and personality so they can feel as comfortable and happy as possible while you’re away. We live on just over 5 acres with plenty of space to explore and our own walking trails throughout the property, which are perfect for getting outside, going on walks, and getting some energy out! Since I already have a Golden Retriever of my own, our home is very dog-friendly and we naturally have plenty of dog toys, supplies, and space for pups to feel comfortable. Our property is not fenced, so dogs will never be allowed to roam outside unsupervised. I’m more than happy to use a secure in-ground tie-out for dogs who are comfortable with one, or keep them leashed whenever we’re outside. I understand that every dog has their own routine, personality, and comfort level, so I’ll always follow your instructions and do my best to make your pup feel safe, loved, and at home while they’re in my care. Before their stay, I’d love for you to tell me a little about your pup—their personality, daily routine, favorite things, any quirks or tendencies they may have, and anything else you think I should know. The more I know about them, the better I can make their time with me feel comfortable and familiar! 🐾

About: I have a 11 month old puppy that I have started training and taking care of since 8 weeks old. I also talk him on regular walks, and bathe him. My oldest dog is almost 3 and I have also have had him since he was 8 weeks old. I have watched and walked other dogs for friends and family overnight and for extended periods. I could pet care in the summer almost every day, since I am a teacher. Some things may come up, but I have a pretty flexible schedule. I would prefer to care for pets in my home during the day to make the pet more comfortable. I am able to play with, feed, bathe, walk, etc. I have a fenced in backyard! About: Ever since I was a kid I was bring home stray cats to nursery back to health. I am still doing it back in September I found my current cat Jup outside in with a really young kitten. Unfortunately the kitten was too sick so we found it a better home equipped to take care of it need but we had to keep Jup.

“Margarita has been a wonderful, flexible, accommodating, understanding, champion for me and Spike. He is having a good time there. When I get him he is always a happy puppy and I can tell he is well taken care of. He comes home and he likes to take naps afterward, poor puppy having so much fun with her dogs and her cute youn son. Nice open space for Spike to walk on leash and not worry about his safety. Definitely booking again (already have the reservations). It’s nice to know that my 11week puppy has a loving and caring place that takes care of him while I am at work.”

About: I've always loved dogs. I've spent five years working at a dog shelter as office manager, intake person which includes giving oral and injection medications, adoption coordinator, feeding and watering, cleaning, and socializing. I'm available during the week before 9am and after 1pm. Weekends are open. I work at the humane society but don't get to interact with the furry friends. I miss them! Also, I enjoy nature walks and stop as often as the dogs do to look at things. :) My schedule is flexible.
