“Josephine was fabulous! My cats seemed comfortable around her immediately during the meet&greet and the more shy of the two cats was shameless in asking her for pets. Josephine was hired to stop in to provide ear drop medication 2x per day for my cat’s double-ear infection and provide play, pets, grooming, snuggles, and one session of ear cleaning as a third visit one of the days. Josephine was very communicative about the visits and did a great job at sending pictures that helped me keep an eye on my cat’s ear infection status and note any potential positive or negative changes in his ears. She was also timely for the visits, which I especially appreciate so the ear antibiotics could continue to be provided on a set schedule. I felt very comfortable with the quality of care Josephine provided during the sitting time period. I came home from travels to happy pets! I would definitely rehire Josephine for future cat sitting. (Although my pet sitting arrangement was for feline-sitting only since we already had other arrangements for our dog, Josephine interacted very well with my dog as well during the meet&greet time period, so I will absolutely consider her in the future for when I need care for my dog.).”

Potential clients are always welcome to schedule a video home tour to see the setup and environment their pet would be in. My home allows for kenneling if needed, and I can provide large and extra large crates. I also offer separate spaces for feeding time and am located near several nearby parks for walks. For cats, I can provide a quiet, separate space if they need time to decompress. In addition to care in my home, I also offer house sitting so pets can remain comfortable in their own environment and routines. I’m located about 15 minutes from MSP Airport, which many traveling pet parents find convenient for drop-off and pick-up. Street parking is available in the area, and rideshares to the airport are typically around $20.

About: I’ve always had such a strong love for animals both dogs, cats and more! I grew up with both cats and dogs in my family and have experience with animals of all ages including puppies & kittens and senior dogs and cats. I have experience in providing medicine, treatment, nail trimmings, and more to both cats and dogs in a gentle and careful way! I am very caring and will always make sure your animal is my #1 priority I currently work from home going in the office once a week so I have lots of flexibility to do drop in during lunch time, before or after work and weekends. Since I work from home I am always available at anytime in case of an emergency as well. I currently have two cats that I care for like they are my children (because they are!) both cats are rescues with very different personalities and comforts. Litter boxes are cleaned daily and deep cleaned weekly. They are fed half wet feed half dry food diet and fed portion sizes, not free fed. We have pet insurance so take them to the vet as we see fit - more than yearly! When I lived with my parents and their dog we would do daily walks/hikes and I also helped train him!

I lost my 15-year-old dog last year, and that kind of loss changes how you see pet care, and it's exactly why I take this seriously. Every animal in my home gets real attention, a consistent routine, and the kind of care I'd want for my own. My home is a calm, adults-only environment with a fully fenced yard to ensure safe outdoor time, and my neighborhood is a quiet tucked away pocket near Cedar Lake. While I try to board pets only from the same home, there can at times be exceptions (mostly holidays). While my main living area is on one level, there are stairs required to get into the home via the front door. I also welcome & love cats. I've been fostering through Pet Haven for over a year, so I understand what a cat actually needs in a new space (spoiler: it's not just food and good vibes), and how to introduce pets to a decompression space and other pets they are not familiar with. I keep my roster intentionally small so I can give every animal genuine attention, not assembly-line pet care. You'll get photos and updates throughout, so you can actually enjoy your time away. At my home: As often as possible I try to start every stay with a meet-and-greet so your pet arrives already familiar with the space and with me. My home is calm, adults-only, and has a fully fenced yard for dogs. For cats, I set up a dedicated decompression space so they can settle in at their own pace. I typically do not take overlapping bookings unless the pets are from the same household, but there are sometimes exceptions. At your home: I follow whatever directions you leave. I'll send photo updates so you know things are normal, and I'll flag anything that seems off rather than wait until you're home. For cats especially, in-home sitting is often the lower-stress option, and after a year of fostering, I know how to read a cat who's fine versus one who isn't.

Jessica was even sweet enough to come to pick Frankie up to save me time as I got ready for my trip. Frankie got plenty of walks and snuggles and was in great hands while I was away. “Our pug LOVED his 4-day stay with Brenda and her family! Our little guy got along great with her two pit bulls and really bonded with their little boy. The dogs played and ran together in the fenced in yard. Our pug came home happy and ready to nap. Each day, I received a couple of photos with a brief update which I appreciated. This was a short-notice booking, and I am so grateful that Brenda was available. We will definitely arrange dog-sitting with Brenda in the future.”
