About: I am an experienced pet care taker. I had a dog of my own for 7 years before she passed away of a heart condition. I now have the best Rottie in the earth. Before that my family had dogs and cats growing up. I also consistently foster animals through one of the organizations in town. All dogs on my profile are dogs I either owned, fostered, or babysat. I love to spend as much time with the dogs I am sitting! If it’s the weekend only this is easy to do - If your dog would like a friend my Rottie would like to come with! If not no worries at all! For weekdays: I work from home and can make moving to your home work but will need a desk space or active table space with the ability to plug in - and preferably the ability to bring my 4 year old friendly Rottie with me. If I am unable to bring her what I have done in the past is work from my home and then spend the evening/night with your dog. I always make a lunch break work for this plan. This often mimics similar to a 8-5 schedule. We can definitely discuss details on this! She is part of a team that helps a rescue in town dog test new dogs on their reaction to others! I’ve had more experience volunteering with young puppies, and the moms after their having their litter (our resident dog is our foster fail that I fell in love with after she had her puppies). About: I volunteer at the local animal shelter.. I bathe, feed, walk, give medication, check health.. I grew up with dogs of different breeds. The breed I grew up with mostly is the Pit-bull. . I have been bitten 5 times in my life by dogs and now they don't hurt when I'm bit. I am not hard headed, I am understanding and can accommodate almost any need. About: What truly sets me apart is the depth and range of my experience with dogs of all kinds, paired with a genuine, lifelong passion for their wellbeing. I spent 7.5 years as an Adoption Manager at an animal shelter, and I still continue to volunteer there. That experience gave me hands-on knowledge with every type of dog you can imagine, reactive, fearful, shut down, high-energy, and everything in between. I’ve worked with dogs who needed patience just to trust a human, as well as those with a nonstop zest for life who needed structure and stimulation. From puppies getting into everything, to senior dogs needing extra care and medication, I’ve supported dogs through every stage of life, healthy, ill, happy, and even those struggling emotionally. I’ve also previously worked at a veterinary clinic and have handled emergency medical situations with both my own pets and shelter animals. This has given me added confidence in recognizing when something isn’t right and responding quickly and appropriately, as well as experience administering medications and supporting dogs with medical needs. I have extensive experience helping dogs become more adoptable and comfortable in everyday life. This includes behavior work with more challenging dogs, safely introducing fearful dogs to new people, exercising and enriching kenneled dogs, and understanding how to properly manage and redirect different behaviors. I know how to read body language, respect boundaries, and adjust care based on each dog’s unique personality. My personal dogs have only deepened that experience. My first dog, Meika (a Peekapoo), was happy-go-lucky and full of love. I now have Mildred, my 9-year-old German Shepherd Mix who keeps me on a strict schedule of walks and treats, she’s gentle but reactive to other animals, so I’m very mindful and experienced in managing that behavior. Then there’s Zeppelin, my 2-year-old German Shepherd, who loves life, dirt, water, and destroying toys, but prefers his personal space when it comes to new people. Between my professional background, ongoing volunteer work, veterinary experience, and real-life experience with my own dogs, I bring a well-rounded, knowledgeable, and compassionate approach to pet care. I don’t just “watch” dogs, I understand them, advocate for them, and truly connect with them. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to dedicate to the pets I’m caring for. I also share one of my dogs with my her Dad, so she spends time between both homes, this allows me to have even more time, space, and attention to give to client pets when she’s not with me. I have a reliable vehicle, so I’m able to easily get to and from visits, appointments, or anything unexpected that may come up. I truly prioritize pets’ needs before my own, making sure they’re cared for, exercised, and comfortable first. My home is a split-level, with the upstairs and downstairs separated by gates, which allows me to safely manage different dogs if needed. I also have a fenced-in yard for safe outdoor time, and I strongly believe in daily walks to keep dogs happy, healthy, and mentally stimulated. Overall, my routine is built around making sure pets feel cared for, safe, and loved, just like they would with their own family. Safety, trust, and a calm environment are at the center of how I care for every pet, whether in my home or a client’s home. In my home, I provide a structured but comfortable environment. My split-level layout allows me to safely separate dogs if needed using gates, which is especially helpful for dogs who may need their own space or have different energy levels. I also have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor time, and I always supervise when dogs are outside. Daily walks, mental stimulation, and maintaining a consistent routine are all priorities to help pets feel settled and happy. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping things as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow your pet’s routine closely, feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any specific instructions, so they feel comfortable in their own space. I’m very mindful of safety, including secure leashing, monitoring behavior, and keeping a clean, calm environment. With my background working in both a shelter and a veterinary clinic, I’m confident reading body language, recognizing signs of stress or illness, and handling a wide range of behaviors. I take introductions slowly when needed, respect each pet’s boundaries, and adjust my approach based on their personality. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for at all times.
About: I’ve pet sat for friends and family over a period of time, and also have a dog of my own. I’m able to help out with any kind of care you need, and dogs typically warm up to me easily. I work very sparingly, so I have plenty of time and attention to give your fur babies! I’m around my dog all day every day, and I take her everywhere with me as much as I can. I have a very friendly and high energy border collie, so your dogs will always have a play mate. I’m willing to crate your dogs if need be, and any other cars you’re in need of.

About: I have taken care of many dogs. My friends and family have trusted me with all kinds of dogs. I love to walk dogs, play with dogs, and everything else that comes with being a pet owner! I have a very open schedule. I may be gone for an hour in the morning and occasional events from time to time. I will have lots of available time to spend with your dog. My home has a very large fenced in backyard. We have a great walking path for long or short walks. We have one dog that gets along very well with other dogs.

We have an unfenced yard but a deck with a gate on the stairs down. We live on walking trails that our fur babies frequent with us. Currently have dogs, cats, rats, and a tortoise. Rats and tortoise are kept in different closed rooms. Dogs and cats are allowed to free-roam the house. We do have MANY kennels (with varying sizes) that we can utilize if needed. I also am comfortable going into your home and watching your critters there too :)
“We met James for the first time and scheduled a 4 hour time to see how Bailey does at his house before booking an overnight with him. I am a very overprotective dog mom and I've never given a rating of 5 stars before but James deserves 5 stars. He did everything right to make me feel comfortable leaving Bailey with him. Although he was just there a few hours, he sent me some pictures and a video of Bailey playing with his dog and I so appreciate that. I always ask for pictures when leaving Bailey with someone but often times don't get any and I didn't even ask James for pictures! Bailey seemed to have a wonderful time there and I can always tell when he's had fun because he came home and slept for hours afterward. James is incredibly professional and if you need a good dog sitter, please try him out. I will for sure be using him again in the future.”
