About: I've had cats pretty much my whole life. For the longest time, I preferred them over dogs! However, I'm to the point in my life where I love both dogs and cats equally. 🥰 When I worked at Ames Pet Resort in Ames, IA, they offered lodging for cats so I took care of many different kitties. From mean, to anxious, to super lovey dovey ones! I've also given them their medicines, though needles are a little tough for me with cats... but I'm very willing to learn! I currently have my own house cat and she's my little baby. 🥰 She loves to snuggle with me right away in the morning and right before bed. I got her from a farm down in Iowa and it took her a few days to get used to me and my dog, but once she was used to us, she was following us around the apartment everywhere! And now that I live in a house, she has a whole house to explore and a new kitty to play with! After I got Athena, I got her spayed and updated on her shots. She didn't like taking her medicine, but she let me do it anyway, which I was super thankful for at the time since I worked a lot at the time. I love to play with her whenever I get the chance, and my dog often joins us in play time. ❤️

In my adult life, I adopted the most beautiful little pomeranian, my Remy. He was a senior dog when I adopted him and came with many special needs. About: I have had at least one dog to take care of since I was 10 years old, and my extended family has always had numerous additional dogs. I feed, give water to, and entertain multiple dogs, of multiple sizes, on a daily basis. I have been responsible for a variety of breeds, as well as both indoor dogs and outdoor farm dogs. Raising sheep and working on horse/cattle farms throughout my middle and high school years has taught me how to care for all kinds of animals, big and small. I am currently waiting to ship out for Navy boot camp, so my schedule is very flexible and I’m available most days of the week. If overnight care is needed, my roommates are able to look after my dogs, which allows me to stay with pets for extended periods when required. I care for pets based on what they need most. Sometimes that means simply being there to keep them company, letting them out, feeding them, and spending time playing or relaxing with them. About: My house is a great place for dogs to stay in the Brainerd Lakes area, I have plenty of room in the house, and have 13 acres of wooded property for them to enjoy when we go outside! ***Fall 2023 update**** I now have a fenced in backyard to utilize with pups coming over to visit! I have had a dog of my own growing up for 12 years. Currently, though I do not have any dogs. I used to volunteer part-time to train future service puppies for the blind for over 3 years. ( I have worked with 9 or 10 dogs in the Leader Dog for the Blind program) I have a flexible schedule, and I'm always willing to figure out a solid plan with potential people who need a sitter for their awesome furry friends. I am capable of working and looking after dogs with medical needs as well :). I have worked in probation, law enforcement, corrections, and mental health for over 11 years now. About: i have dog sat for multiple people and love all dogs/ cats. i have experience with puppies and also older dogs. i would prefer to not have the dog be aggressive if possible. i have also taken care of a couple cats and would feel comfortable doing that also! Friday and Saturday’s are wide open for me as those are my days off. Your dog can relax at our house, play in our yard and go on walks. We live in a quiet neighborhood with over an acre of land for your dog to enjoy their time. Put your mind at ease when you are enjoying your time on vacation, working or headed to an appointment.

Dog Boarding (In My Home – Female Dogs Only) For the safety and comfort of all pets in my care, I only board female dogs. My Australian Shepherd has a strong personality, and keeping our home harmonious means I cannot accept male dogs. Female pups are always welcome, and they’ll receive lots of love, playtime, and cuddles in a safe, home environment. I work full-time from 8–5, but I’m happy to stop by during my lunch break for local drop-ins to take your sweet guy or girl out for a potty break, walk, or some love. I’m available after 5 PM, all day on Wednesdays, and all weekends. I’m reliable, flexible, and always happy to work with your pet’s routine whenever possible. I care for pets with patience, consistency, and lots of love—whether in my home or yours. While I don’t have a yard yet, I live close to a dog park and provide plenty of walks, playtime, and mental stimulation to keep dogs happy and exercised. I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, play, and downtime. Safety and comfort always come first, and I make sure pets get individual attention, affection, and enrichment. In your home, I respect your space while ensuring your pet feels secure and relaxed in their familiar environment. I’m attentive, reliable, and treat every pet as if they were my own.
