Then traveling back home from Sioux Falls, we get hammered by blizzard conditions. Thankfully Margarita was SUPER understanding and reassuring. I was in a bit of a panic worrying about this and that, and the fact that Loki didn't have to be one of those worries was a huge relief. When we finally made it back the next day I could tell he wasn't super thrilled about leaving, which is always what you want to see. (And with that massive yard, I can't blame him!) My family has a bird, two shih tzus, and a cat. I have frequently been around bigger breeds as well so I am comfortable with any-sized pet. About: I grew up around livestock and all sorts of other animals. I recently lost my own dog but when I had her I used Rover to help find a regular dog sitter for when I went on teacher conferences. I recently became trained in dog and cat CPR and first aid. I am not afraid to give medications to an animal and have taken care of dogs that have special needs such as anxiety, fear of fireworks, fear of guns and high energy. I am currently on a teaching schedule but after memorial day I will be available most days. If I am away during the summer it's usually just during the day. They will take first priority, getting food, water, any medications prescribed and taken to go outside will all take place before my needs. I can provide a kennel at my home and kennel trained my own dog understanding the process for that.

About: I've taken care of a senior Bulldog for 1 year. I ended up training him and living with him. He made major improvements in behavior for his owner. We became best buds. Also I've taken care of a cat on a regular basis for the past 2 years. Playtime and cuddles are the best! I get along well with any animal I've met. Each animal has such a unique personality, and I'm excited to learn about them! Also when I was a kid I had hamsters as pets for about 10 years. During most weekdays I'm available anytime. Some Saturdays I'm available. But most Sundays I'm not available. I have a lot of flexibility and will work with your needs. I will be able to take care of your pets at your home or my home. Whatever is more convenient for you. I only ask that they are house trained and you bring what they would need of course. I will follow whatever guidelines you may have. I'm currently retired and will be available to take care of your pet Monday-Friday anytime of day. Some Saturdays are available too. Not on Sundays though. I have an unfenced yard and a park nearby that I can play with your dog at. Most of the time we will be inside my 1 bedroom ground floor apartment. Since I am home and not working, I'll give them plenty of attention and care!

We have two resident (foster fail!) dogs: Ace, a shy pitbull who LOVES other dogs and Tesha, a rambunctious tripod who LOVES people. We especially love older dogs in our house but are open to dogs 1 year and up. We have a fully fenced in backyard and a tie out available for outside play time. We have space to keep dogs separated if you have a dog that is shy or needs very slow introductions (we have a three level home). Our resident pups are allowed on our bed if they choose, but we have plenty of dog beds around too, and we do not allow them on our couch. We will do our very best to accommodate your pups needs and keep you updated on how your four legged family member is doing while you are away! I currently work from home and am able to take breaks to allow potty and attention breaks. My husband is also home most of the time and will be available when I am not. We like to do slow introductions to other dogs to ensure the comfort of our resident dogs and the visiting pups. We have the space to crate or allow roaming on separate levels if needed.

About: Relocated here from Iowa. Enjoy working with different dogs. Pet lover. I completed 6 months of Veterinarian Assistant classes online. Life happened and I had to take a pause. But I am thinking about going back and finish obtaining my associates degree in the field. So whether it be house sitting with the animals or simply doing some walking or activities, I don't mind and will enjoy my time with them. Its something I enjoy as one of my hobbies. About: I’ve taken care of my Tibetan Mastiff since before I can remember, and I’m my go-to neighborhood dog walker/caretaker. I love all shapes and sizes of dogs! I’m currently an online student at MNSU, so anytime during the weekday for boarding and walking is entirely open. Weekends work for specific dates and times. The whole process was super easy and after the meet and greet I left feeling 100% confident that bubba would be in great hands. Then traveling back home from Sioux Falls, we get hammered by blizzard conditions. The last 20 miles before finally giving up, I could barely see the lines on the road, let alone any cars in front of me. So we pulled off and checked in to a hotel. Thankfully Margarita was SUPER understanding and reassuring. I was in a bit of a panic worrying about this and that, and the fact that Loki didn't have to be one of those worries was a huge relief. When we finally made it back the next day I could tell he wasn't super thrilled about leaving, which is always what you want to see. (And with that massive yard, I can't blame him!) Will definitely be "boarding" with her and her family again in the future! Super communicative with updates and photos to put our minds at ease.”
