Then traveling back home from Sioux Falls, we get hammered by blizzard conditions. The last 20 miles before finally giving up, I could barely see the lines on the road, let alone any cars in front of me. So we pulled off and checked in to a hotel. Thankfully Margarita was SUPER understanding and reassuring. I was in a bit of a panic worrying about this and that, and the fact that Loki didn't have to be one of those worries was a huge relief. When we finally made it back the next day I could tell he wasn't super thrilled about leaving, which is always what you want to see. (And with that massive yard, I can't blame him!) About: Relocated here from Iowa. Enjoy working with different dogs. Pet lover. I completed 6 months of Veterinarian Assistant classes online. Life happened and I had to take a pause. But I am thinking about going back and finish obtaining my associates degree in the field. With working in a shelter, I have experience working with lots of different breeds, temperaments, and medication needs. I have had dogs and a cat of my own since I was a child. I am currently working as a nanny part time with days varying by week. I am available all weeknights after 4:30pm and most weekends Thursday-Sunday! I provide care in the owners’ homes, allowing pets to remain in a familiar environment with their usual routines, belongings, and comforts. I take safety seriously and will carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, access to the home, and emergency contacts. About: I've had pets since I was five years old, and have taken care of dogs for the last six years. I absolutely adore dogs and cats, and miss being around them every day. About: I’ve grown up with all kinds of dogs and cat my whole life. I currently have 1 cat and 2 small dogs in my house who get along and also have their own space when needed! I do work during the day but I’m usually available before/after and on weekends. My mom does live with me and she works from home so she is able to help out during the day with bathroom times. I’m willing to host animals overnight if they seem like a good fit! My dogs have always used an invisible fence but any visiting dogs will be on a leash unless told otherwise. Dogs typically get 5+ bathroom breaks a day and are encouraged to go outside for a good 10 minutes each time. Pets are allowed on the furniture and bed, because they’re considered family. Cats are typically left in the (finished/liveable) basement separate from the dogs, unless the cat wants to venture upstairs then be my guest.
