“Once again, Nancy was so kind and so accommodating! She took in a second dog, who has some issues, and once again provided stellar care. I love that I can have complete trust, and know my dogs are safe AND happy!”

“Carter was very attentive, responded quickly when I asked questions, sent photos and was very caring. His home is in a state of remodel (7/25), but Carter was still a great pet sitter. We felt comfortable leaving our beloved pet with him.”

“Skylar is one of the best sitters I have found on rover. She is great with animals and very knowledgeable and trust her with watching Dougie 100%. I have already booked her again for my next vacation!”
About: Hi, I'm Rick and have been around dogs most of my life. Growing up, I always had at least one dog and most of the time some cats. I had a short petless period after the kids graduated from high school. However, it wasn't long until I got a young, exuberant black lab. I spent hours on the dock throwing sticks for her and watching her launch off the end of the dock. She was crazy for the water! Unfortunately she passed away from cancer. The grief was awful, and I told myself no more dogs. But in several months I realized I'm a dog person, and was lucky enough to get Banjo, a collie/lab/poodle mix (Colabradoodle). Banjo and I attended multiple obedience schools, therapy training and he and I are now a certified therapy team. He and I have volunteered at the hospital every Friday for almost 9 years, and we've been in almost every nursing home, assisted living facility and clinic in town. Banjo and I are also a certified BARC team (Bemidji Area Reading Canines) which brings us to most schools in Bemidji, as well as the library and Boys and Girls Club. The kids come to read to him....or I read....or we make up stories from the pictures....or we just talk and pet Banjo. He's also an AKC Good Citizen. He is a gentle, submissive gentleman who loves people, especially kids, and gets along well with other dogs. He's 10 1/2 years old. I'm an active retiree but am flexible so if I'm watching your dog he/she will be my priority. I have one dog, who gets along well with people and other dogs. When I care for your dog, he/she will be treated like family. I have a fenced yard for play and trails in my woods to take walks. I will not allow your dog to be unleashed in an area that is not fenced. We live in the country so it's quiet and peaceful.

“Nancy was fantastic! She was extremely flexible and accepted the drop in visits on short notice. The picture updates she sent put my anxiety to ease. I couldn’t have asked a better person to take care of my cat while away on vacation. 10/10!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was 4. I’ve had dogs, cats, and other small creatures. I do well with grooming, bathing, walks, and car rides. I’m currently doing online college. So I’m home all day! I have a fenced in yard for your fur babies. Hope to hear from you soon! I have a fenced in yard, leashes, to keep your fur baby safe. Plenty of access to walk and shade, and beds! Big or small
“Melissa was so great with my cat Sapphire. She was able to administer her oral medication and her ear medication, which she hates. And Sapphire is scared of people she doesn't know, and Melissa was able to gain her trust within the quick drop in visit time. She was even super kind enough to bring in our packages that were dropped off while we were gone!”

About: I have owned cats my whole life, with two cats currently under my care. I am capable of administering oral medication and injections, on top of routine care, as my orange cat is disabled. All cats welcome no matter how loving or shy!
About: I have cared for all kinds of animals since I could remember, from raccoons, rats, horses, and Guinea pigs to your more normal cats and dogs and lizards. I currently have a pup so I do pet care every day all day. She is a part of my family so she is never lacking when it comes to her care and exercise. I currently live in a townhouse and I don’t have a yard so we go for long walks on the edge of town multiple times a day as well as car rides. In my clients home I use the resources they have available (big yard either fenced or not) or we will just go for walks throughout the day. I make the care of the client the priority.
“Amy was wonderful! She was so sensitive to my cats’ needs and I felt so comfortable leaving my kitties in her care. She wasn’t even fazed by my pet snails (which I get is a bit unusual). For her there truly is “no animal too big or small.””
About: I will care for your dog as I would my own! Experienced animal/dog lover, I’ll give your dog time & attention while you are away. I am calmly assertive and responsible and will give your pup hugs & kisses and/or runs and ball-throwing, whatever he/she may need that day. I have a flexible schedule and thought it would be a fabulous way to spend my day ? I am a professional equine bodyworker- so I work with horses on a daily basis. I have had multiple dogs throughout my life. As a matter of fact, I can’t remember a time that I haven’t had a dog. I enjoy dog training shows & interest in dog psychology. In the process of getting my dog certified as a therapy dog. We also have a pet pig named Lola. ☺️ In slower times of the year in my other animal business (specifically winter), I will dedicate time to dog walking when many are not wanting to be outside (cold) but dogs still need exercise. I have (limited) transporting experience also. I bring my dog to a variety of places when I travel & am used to keeping her safe although she listens to commands well & is socialized. I am confident I provide a safe environment for animals.

“This is my first experience using Rover. My boyfriend and I were camping in Akeley and we needed a dog sitter for the day. Nancy was very communicative and sent pictures throughout the day. I do believe my dog, Holly, played hard because she is tired this evening. There were other dogs and they all seemed to get along well. I highly recommend Nancy.”

“Our dogs were so excited to meet Carter and his family! They had a great time playing and getting out for walks while in his care. We would definitely contact Carter again when we're going to be in the area.”

“I was incredibly relieved to find it’s not male dogs my dog has issues with, it’s the dog. Her black lab is incredibly sweet and docile. My dog actually whined with excitement as we got close, the second day. She was super flexible with drop off times”

“Buddy really enjoyed his time at Diane's-- She did an excellent job with him across the 4 days. She was communicative, sent photos and flexible with drop-off and pickup times. A perfect option for a few dog free days while visiting the Crosslake area. Will definitely reach out to her again!”

“I don’t know where to begin to express how wonderful Amy has been to Daisi the past year and a half…Daisi has been so lovingly cared for on her weekly visits to Amy and her sweet Oakley. ♥️ Amy is the kind of person that I can trust completely to care for my busy Goldendoodle. About: Hello! I have grown up with pets my entire life and have spent the past couple of years learning how to care for cats and dogs. I have helped raise dogs from puppies to adulthood with everything from grooming to exercise. The breeds I have the most experience with are Labrador and Maltese dogs. For training, I have experience both in training my own dogs and carrying on the training set by the owners of the dogs I watch over. I love to exercise with pets and enjoy walking with them alongside playing with toys. I have no preferences when it comes to pets as I will happily care for and love them all! I work a part time job with a very flexible schedule so I am easily able to fit pet care into my weekly schedule alongside care for my own animals. I am experienced with both crate-trained and free roaming pets. I am also keen on pet welfare to ensure the animal’s physical safety and happiness.
