Additionally, I have experience taking care of my parent's diabetic cat, when they went out of town, which included giving him insulin shots twice a day, so I am comfortable with some medical needs' animals. My cat, Penny, is technically a senior cat, and she remains very healthy and happy! I also have experience taking care of my friends' senior dogs overnight when her and her family went out of town. As well as my own senior dog, Bentley, who has passed away. It has been a few years, but my heart is still too broken to think about welcoming a dog into my home for forever, but I so miss having a dog's company, so, temporary will have to do for now! I know just how much I loved my dog and wanted to protect him and keep him happy & healthy as long as possible, and I promise to treat your pets the same. I was also the proud owner of 4 chickens when I lived in Florida. They were the greatest entertainment! By the time I moved to Michigan, there was sadly only one remaining chicken, I didn't want to confuse her with the weather change, so of course she became a house chicken. She got to live her last two years living inside the house, cozy as can be, with me, my dog & cat. We all loved it! Long story short, I'm also available for some farm animal sitting. About: I am working on some pretty amazing updates. Additional outdoor yards are in the works, as well as a perimeter fence around the home property! I have also added Tracki to my collars. Tracki runs on global GPS (satellite feedback) and not cellular feedback, giving that extra security for your pups with no interruption in tracking! Bark & Barn is a privately insured in-home kennel that provides overnight and day boarding options as well as drop-in visits/walks for all pets, exotic included. I also provide optional training for dogs. I have five years of experience as a veterinary assistant in a high volume multi-species setting. With this, I have gained the knowledge, training, and experience in animal behavior as well as proper technique in safe animal hold, administering all forms of medication, administering emergency fluids, and animal CPR. Your pups will have access to multiple sections of my home, a fenced play yard, and walks over 120 acres of farm fields and streamed woods! Discipline is and will always be reinforcement based. I have experience with reactive dogs and understand any dog can be reactive in the right setting, so meet and greets are a must! Our personal working dogs are not within the home's boundaries and remain with their flock at all times.

About: I have had cats and dogs my whole life, and they have enriched my life so much. I volunteered at animal shelters, working with dogs of all kinds, and socializing with the cats. I regularly walked dogs and was a dog/house sitter for over a year, then took a brief hiatus while I was working full time and am getting back into dog sitting now that I have a house of my own, and can offer boarding services! I have also had two puppies over my life that I helped raise and take care of into their old age. I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to spend loving your critters, and my partner works fully remote so he is available to let dogs in and out while I am gone! We have a large fenced in backyard with lots of room to run and play, plus we love going on walks when we have dogs visiting us. We have two cats, Swiper and Bilbo, who are both familiar with dogs, and can be shy but very friendly. They also have their own hideaway which houses their food and litter that dogs do not have access to in case they need some time to themselves. My mom's dog, Juno, also visits us frequently, and she LOVES having playmates around and gets along with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I make sure to take swift action on any problems that may arise, and communicate frequently in detail. You can rest easy knowing I treat any critter in my care as if they were one of my own, and you will also receive picture updates every day, usually multiple times a day.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Greta get even more comfortable there, and it just felt like the right fit. I really trusted that Natalie would use good judgement if any issues were to arise, and they actually live a couple doors down from a vet. I could tell Natalie was confident in this role, my dog felt safe and cared for, and I could enjoy my time knowing that she was in capable hands. Greta was so calm when I picked her up, when normally she seems a little frantic to be back with me (even at my mom's)-- if you're looking for a chill place for your pet to feel at ease, this is it. Natalie also asked a lot of important questions when I dropped off Greta which made it clear she was thinking ahead and trying to create an environment that my girl could be happy in. I'm so appreciative of Natalie's considerate approach.”
About: I’ve been around animals since I was born. I’ve had a lot of experience with dogs, and I love to be around them. My favorite thing to do is to be with animals. I have my own Siberian Husky that I will need to drop in on occasionally I do have a dog of my own. But other then babysitting for family and doctors appointments I am pretty free other than that. I love all animals and love getting new experiences. I would feed the pets, let them out every few hours. Keep them company, play with them take them for walks, anything that would be needed.

Fully fenced in yard to play fetch in and run around I’m currently a stay at home dog dad so they will never be left alone, always ready to take outside and let play with toys. About: I know how to handle more energetic or anxious animals and can read animals behaviors very well. I have worked at multiple veterinary clinics through internships as a vet assistant. I now work at an animal shelter as a part of the medical team + animal care team. Due to this I am able to administer any medication or care to your pet. I work 5 days a week but only for around 6 hours per shift so the rest of the day I can spend with your animal and caring for them :) I have a very large yard, not fenced but I will walk your animal around it and spend time with them outside (leashed) so they get lots of wxercise and enrichment. I have multiple rooms in which your animal can roam so they don’t feel trapped + toys. Your pet will get lots of play time, cuddles, and attention based on their needs!

About: Hello! I am a second year veterinary student at the University of Illinois. I am home in MI with my parents for the summer, so I’d love to care for your pet(s) while you’re away. I have experience with dogs and cats of all temperaments and energy levels. I am also Fear Free certified, so I pride myself on providing comfortable visits. I will be in the Battle Creek area from June through August. Come August, I will be in the Champaign, IL area. My daily/weekly schedule is fairly open as I do not have a current job. My pets are allowed on furniture. However, I will respect whatever rules you have in place with your pet. I tend to do an outside break every 2-4 hours depending on weather, but in the summer most days are spent outside. I feed my dog on a 2 meal schedule, but can accommodate the pet(s) normal meal routines.

I have a 5 year old Catahoula Hound mix that I adopted from the SPCA! When I house sit he does need to come with me. He has never had issues with other dogs or cats. Both of them are age 6 and have been solely in my care since. I understand that every dog has their own personality, especially breeds like huskies. I live in a safe quiet environment that offers lots of nearby maintained county trails for dogs to walk in, including enclosed dog parks. About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was a kid, and now work my full time job with animals every day. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, ferrets, and rodents! My senior dog has Stage 3 kidney disease and we provide daily care for him, including oral and injectable meds, and special diets. I am comfortable doing this with other animals :) I work a full time job during the week, hours 7 am - 3:30 pm. Am looking for supplemental income by providing pet care to those in need. I am available after 4:30 pm during the week, and weekends. I have a fenced in yard for my for dog, and a crate available if needed. I would prefer caring for your pets at your home but am willing to bring them to my home if they are dog and cat friendly. I have a senior dog who has some trouble getting around so we have ramps, but he prefers dogs that are smaller than he is, about 55 lbs. My pets are treated like kings and queens in our home and I would provide the same care for your fur babies!

Feel free to reach out with any questions! I work at a job in Kalamazoo from 9-5, Monday-Friday and we have a hybrid work schedule. I need to be in the office 1 full day and another half day for the most part. Depending on my week and schedule I can work where I need to and can adjust based on what you need. Some weeks are busier than others, and typically if I know I can't be available or will be busy for 8 hours or more, I will make myself unavailable. Currently I live in a rental house with a small yard that is not fenced in. I am able to let my dog out in the yard and we also take daily walks. I have a smaller house and prefer to watch dogs in your home if possible. I find that they are much more comfortable in their own home and I can do my best to follow their routine just like you would if you were home.

Additionally, I have experience taking care of my parent's diabetic cat, when they went out of town, which included giving him insulin shots twice a day, so I am comfortable with some medical needs' animals. She got to live her last two years living inside the house, cozy as can be, with me, my dog & cat. We all loved it! Long story short, I'm also available for some farm animal sitting.
