“I cannot say enough about the awesome puppy-sitting experience I had with Stephanie and Scott (and their super great dog, Rosie)!! I am new to the Rover experience and had to leave my 13-week old puppy and was nervous about leaving. From the start, Scott and Steph put me at ease and even offered a meet up beforehand so we and our dogs could meet. I was updated daily, sometimes more, with video and photos and I could see immediately that my puppy was in the best hands I could imagine; it was like a vacation for my puppy, too! About: I grew up in a small town in Northern Michigan where animals weren't just pets, they were part of everyday life. Surrounded by cats, dogs, and farm animals from a young age, I developed a natural comfort and respect for animals that only comes from experience. Growing up with both indoor and barn cats taught me early that every cat operates on their own terms and the best thing you can do is meet them there. Starting in middle school, family and friends began trusting me with their pets, and through that I've learned there's no day that isn't better with a furry friend by your side. I thought cat sitting a family with four different cats had prepared me for anything until my roommate moved in with a rescue the shelter warned would barely tolerate being pet. She spent the first month bolting down the stairs the moment anyone came into view. Through patience, consistency, and letting her set the pace, we eventually got to a place where she'll now curl up next to me for a movie night. That experience taught me that earning a cat's trust isn't something you rush, it's something you earn quietly.

She's a sweetie and shares the couch/bed with my dog. I receive pictures through out the day of my baby. Kimberly has came to my house to let him out and I've also dropped him off at hers. Her house is clean and orderly. They have a fenced in back yard. She has dealt with everything I've thrown her way, including giving Mickey medication, changing a bandage on his foot after surgery, she also helped when he decided he did not want to eat dog food anymore. About: Since childhood, I've always had a dog at home, mainly pugs and Aussies. Back home, I use to watch all my siblings dogs as well as watching friends fur babies. I love animals! I’m going back to college (online) so I’ll have plenty of time during the day to go and let a pup out for a walk or even the possibly of sitting at my home. About: I have been around animals since a very young age. I grew up having to care for my dogs, cats, horses, cows, and sheep! I participated in 4-H for 10 years showing both cattle and sheep. Throughout high school and college I worked at a doggy day care, that cared for both cats and dogs, either for day visits or overnight stays. I was responsible for making sure the animals were as comfortable as possible. This involved cleaning their kennels daily, feeding, and medications. Later, I worked as a veterinary assistant for 6 months. I have house/dog and cat sat for various friends and family members throughout the years as well. I am very flexible! I am more than happy to stay at your home while pet sitting or simply come by to care for the pet a couple times a day. Open to working with you to figure out the best solution for your pet. Unfortunately my current lease does not allow pets. I am more than happy to work with you and figure out a schedule/plan that would fit your needs! While I am at a clients house I would stay in good communication with them. In the past, I have sent daily pet photos to the client and sending them updates whenever possible.

Through my experience caring for pets and volunteering at a local animal shelter, I’ve worked with animals of many different temperaments and understand the importance of patience, awareness, and safe handling. I always make sure pets are secure on walks, monitored during playtime, and given plenty of attention and care. I’m also happy to follow any specific instructions you have for feeding, medications, routines, or training. I believe communication is very important, so I’m glad to send updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.

I am a merchant mariner and work on a boat every other month, so when I’m home I’m able to fully dedicate my time to watch dogs and cater my schedule and needs to my clients.
