“What an amazing dog care experience with Karma and her family! From the moment I met them, I felt relieved and confident that Ginger and my JRT/Shepherd Mix puppy, Bhageera, would be in safe hands. I was already confident about Ginger, since he is calm and composed. But Bhageera is very energetic and, as a puppy and a working dog, he needs more than just a sitter. Karma and her family completely understood his needs and provided the perfect care while we were on our trip to Isle Royale. Since Isle Royale National Park does not allow pets, we had to find a pet sitter — and we were so lucky we did. As an added bonus, John, Karma’s husband, owns and operates the Isle Royale Queen ferry. What an amazing coincidence and what a wonderful family! Their Aussie Doodle, Max, became Bhageera’s buddy and gave him the stimulation and play he needed. Meanwhile, Ginger was able to relax in a quieter environment. Karma’s kids also helped care for the puppy and made him feel comfortable and loved. Overall, I am beyond happy. This was the perfect combination for our furry family, and we are so grateful for the care they provided while we crossed Lake Superior. We frequently visit the Keweenaw area during the summer and fall, and we will surely be seeking their help during our next visit. I would recommend Karma 100%.”

They have a wonderful set up as far as large fenced yard with plenty of room for large dogs to run and play. A doggie door lets the dogs choose when they want outside time. Although the house rooms seem small for many large dogs around, their lovely hospitality seems to provide comfort. ChampE had a good stay and was well cared for. Thanks to you both. I will definitely use them again when I'm in the area.”

About: I’ve taken care of my neighbor’s cat every winter from December to March since he was young. I stay with him as long as I can every day — doing my homework with him in my lap, taking naps with him curled up by my feet, and eating dinner while watching him pace at my plate. I love cats so much, so I do my best to make them feel loved and cared for while their parents are away.

“We were in Houghton to visit Isle Royale. The issue was we were traveling in our RV with our 3-year-old Labrador and we didn't want to leave him alone for such a long day. We were lucky enough to find Rylie and I really can't say enough good things about her. She came over three times throughout the day to let our dog out, walk him, and spent time with him. Each time she sent us several new pictures and communicated wonderfully throughout the day. She allowed us to enjoy the day and not have to stress over our dog being watched and taking care of. If we're ever back in Houghton we will definitely use Rylie again!”

About: I have owned dogs my whole life and more recently cats. I have experience with multiple breeds of dogs, both rescue and bread dogs, and different types of harnesses. I have been dog sitting and walking for six years now for varying amounts of time. I am a college student so my schedule is dependent on my classes and my on-campus job, but I can make my schedule fit around any pet care! needs. I have two dogs of my own so I would be coming to the client's house to care for their pet. For specific rules and training, I would discuss a plan with the owners as to be consistent.

About: My Family and I have had dogs in the family for years and I have always had a big role in taking care of them from baths to playtime and food. In 2020 we then started raising puppies. I have helped from the birthing to medication and playtime, overcoming new obstacles and fears, and potty training. I have dog sat a bit and have done well making sure they got exercise, food, and medication. I do not have much experience with watching cats but love playing with my Aunt's who breeds and raises kittens. I currently go to college classes but have a fairly flexible schedule. In the summer aside from a few trips I have nothing going on! I feed them twice a day unless specified, give baths once every other week and as needed. If they don't seem to be enjoying an activity changing it or making the situation better. Trust and respect are very important. The wishes of the owners or parents will be followed and hope to give your pet the best care while you are away

She took Molly on a great walk and sent me a picture while they were out. About: Hi, I'm JaLynn! I offer pet sitting services including drop in visits, dog walking, bathing and in-home dog boarding. I grew up with dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and more so your pets will fit right in! I'm also a SAHM to a sweet 1 yr old girl, and a gentle Golden Retriever named Yetti who loves company. We live in the country with a large fenced in backyard where your pets can safely play and get plenty of exercise. My aim is to be a dependable and helpful resource for your family to make your travels a little less stressful. I am a Stay at home mom so my schedule is pretty flexible during the day for daycare. My husband also works from home so typically if I'm not home, he is! I generally am most free in the mornings and evenings for drop ins. I have a large fenced in backyard and a doggy door so your pet will be able to play as much as they desire. I also have a friendly golden retriever who loves company! I do have a 1 yr old daughter so all in home stays will need to be experienced and friendly with kids.

About: I have experience taking care of dogs. I will take your pups on walks, feed them, play with them, entertain them, and also provide some housekeeping as well! I am pretty flexible on times and days that you need me! Let me know and I can try my best to make anything work for you! I can care for your pets in your home any way that you would like.
