“I cannot say enough about the awesome puppy-sitting experience I had with Stephanie and Scott (and their super great dog, Rosie)!! I am new to the Rover experience and had to leave my 13-week old puppy and was nervous about leaving. From the start, Scott and Steph put me at ease and even offered a meet up beforehand so we and our dogs could meet. I was updated daily, sometimes more, with video and photos and I could see immediately that my puppy was in the best hands I could imagine; it was like a vacation for my puppy, too! They really take an interest in making it a great experience and environment for their pet guest. About: I love all kinds of animals! I have a pointer/lab mix and mini dauschund of my own, and they are my tag alongs for all sorts of adventures! I also had a variety of frogs, lizards, hamsters, guinea pigs when I was growing up. Most notably, my bearded dragon Cricket who lived to be 16 years old! Additionally, I have experience pet-sitting and dog walking for family members as well as friends and neighbors. I have helped friends with their chickens and other farm animals as well! About: In college I worked as a professional pet sitter that was over 20 years ago. Since then I have pet sat off and on over the years in my home and in clients home. I have experience walking lots of dogs at one time. I have experience with horses and cows as well. I also have 5 years of professional pet grooming experience too. I have had family pets my entire life. I currently work part time as a substitute teacher and with my boyfriend at his lawn care business. I’m a teacher and my husband, James, works his IT job remote which allows us to have flexibility with letting dogs out and walking at various times of the day. We have experience with administering medication to dogs and caring for senior dogs as well. We love exploring the outdoors while camping and fishing. You can catch us on the water any chance we get. We also love spending time at home with our fur babies, Striker and Daisy. They keep us on our toes and make life fun! I have availability all days and times during summer months and after 4:00 pm during the school year. James has more flexibility and is available to help any day and most times. About: I have been around animals since a very young age. I grew up having to care for my dogs, cats, horses, cows, and sheep! I participated in 4-H for 10 years showing both cattle and sheep. Throughout high school and college I worked at a doggy day care, that cared for both cats and dogs, either for day visits or overnight stays. I was responsible for making sure the animals were as comfortable as possible. This involved cleaning their kennels daily, feeding, and medications. Later, I worked as a veterinary assistant for 6 months. I have house/dog and cat sat for various friends and family members throughout the years as well. I am very flexible! I am more than happy to stay at your home while pet sitting or simply come by to care for the pet a couple times a day. Open to working with you to figure out the best solution for your pet. I’ve owned multiple dogs throughout my life- including having up to seven dogs at one time- which has given me extensive experience managing different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. Whether your dog is an energetic puppy, a senior who needs extra attention, or somewhere in between, I provide patient, attentive, and personalized care to help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away :) My boyfriend, Dom, is also highly experienced with dogs and has spent most of his life working with and caring for them. Like me, he has experience in dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and general pet care settings. He also has experience with training, administering medications, and helping care for dogs with a variety of needs and temperaments! In addition, he is CPR certified, providing an extra level of preparedness and peace of mind. One of our favorite things is working together and spending time with dogs. We make a great team and genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality, routine, and preferences. Between the two of us, your dog will receive plenty of attention, supervision, playtime, and affection. We understand that every dog is unique, and we treat every pet like family. Our goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment so you can have peace of mind knowing your dog is in caring and experienced hands. I have a flexible schedule and am available throughout the week, including weekends. About: Hi my name is Marg I don’t work a typical 9-5 job and am in town every other month. I am a merchant mariner and work on a boat every other month, so when I’m home I’m able to fully dedicate my time to watch dogs and cater my schedule and needs to my clients. I have a very flexible schedule. I'm very passionate about every animal that I take care of and I will treat them as if they are my own. About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs, and then when I was able to I had two large breeds of my own for many years. Currently, we have a 2-yr old Bernese mountain dog and an older cat at home. I’m a teacher with a very open availability during summer and would love to fill it with taking care of your dogs - any breed but happy to provide confidence for high energy larger breeds. I’m a full-time teacher, so if you’re booking during the summer my availability is pretty widely open to meet your pets needs. If it’s during the school year, the weekends are there for loving your pet. I love to walk and exercise and am happy to take your dog for long walks as needed. Alternatively if they’re at my house, they can play with our Bernese Mountain Dog in the backyard for endless hours! Our yard is fenced in and the gates are always locked.

Wooded trails right beyond the house with a walking access to the dog beach at lake Leelanau was great. Bob has sent pictures of dogs having fun at the beach. Overall freedom for the dogs to walk in and out to the fenced backyard, being welcomed on the couch was such a loving & carrying environment and perfect solution for our Golder Retriever, we will be there again and again when in Traverse City area!”

I got adorable photos every day and regular communication about all the fun he was having becoming a farm dog (lots of great exercise). This was a last minute booking but we could not have been luckier. Our dog is a very social one but also clingy to his main caretaker, and Margalina quickly because that person! We will definitely use them again and can’t recommend them highly enough.”

We have 2 respectful preteen boys in the household so kid friendly dogs are an absolute must.
