About: I am not your typical pet-sitter. I have spent my entire life caring for all types of animals. My first job was at a pet store learning the skills of working with animals and their people. After college I worked as a zookeeper where I cared for everything from mealworms all the way to rhinos. About: Ever since I was little, I have loved all kinds of animals and hope to one day have a career working with them. I have been helping care for my own dogs since I was around six years old and have experience with both large breeds, like Labrador Retrievers, and small breeds, like Chihuahuas. I have also cared for the dogs and cats of friends and family while they were away. In addition to dogs and cats, I have owned and cared for two hamsters, a Canadian goose, three ducks, and have experience helping care for horses. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and understand the extra patience and attention they sometimes need. Currently, I have two Labrador Retrievers named Annie and Delta, and I love spending time caring for them. I am also comfortable administering medications, as one of my dogs requires seizure medication three times a day. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I am committed to providing loving, reliable, and attentive care for every animal I look after. I am a junior at Hope College home for the summer so my schedule is fairly open and I am very flexible. I am usually busy weekends and Tuesday and Thursday nights when I am coaching lacrosse. I can care for your dog in your home just as you would care for your dog if you were home. I could easily crate your dog if needed, take them for walks, feed them, and take them out to use the bathroom.

I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I keep a clean, pet-friendly environment, closely supervise playtime, follow feeding and medication instructions carefully, and make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. currently, I live in an apartment with a fenced in dog area in the backyard, but in a few weeks will be moving into a townhouse with my very own backyard!
