“Hunter was responsive, flexible when my itinerary changed, and my pup came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of! Best scenario for boarding I can think of for us. Thank you again.”

“Madison was the most amazing dog sitter! So accommodating, friendly and great with our two dogs. She sent photos/videos of our two goldens playing with hers and we felt so relieved knowing they were happy and taken care of. We will continue to use her any time we’re in charlevoix. I’d recommend her to anyone! 10/10 experience!!”

“Dorothy was wonderful with Alfie. She was kind, responsive, and took excellent care of him. He transitioned well with her and then back with us. We would love to use her again when we are back in the area!”

“Peter was very professional, sent us pictures and took care of our dog. When we picked her up, she was a very happy dog to come back in our arms. He must’ve done something right, HAHA.”

“We absolutely loved having Elizabeth watch Nala and Winston! From the very first meet and greet, she put us completely at ease. We appreciated the photo and video updates. Elizabeth has two sweet dogs that were very affectionate and were ready to play with Nala. When we got home, our dogs were happy, and tired, and clearly well-loved. We will definitely be booking with her again when in the area.”

About: Hi! My name is Marissa, I’m 29 years old, and I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I’m caring, dependable, patient, and attentive, and I understand just how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with a member of your family. I recently completed my Associate of Arts in Psychology, which has been an important personal accomplishment for me. While my education has focused on people, patience, communication, understanding behavior, and paying attention to individual needs are qualities I also bring into the way I care for animals. I have around 20 years of personal experience caring for dogs and more than five years of experience helping care for other people’s pets. Over the years, friends, family, neighbors, and Rover clients have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, play with, supervise, and care for their animals. Having cared for dogs with different breeds, sizes, personalities, energy levels, and needs has taught me that every dog is an individual. Some want to spend their time playing and exploring, while others would happily curl up beside you all day. Some warm up immediately, while anxious or shy dogs may need extra patience and space to become comfortable. I believe in getting to know the animal in front of me rather than expecting every pet to respond the same way. I also have a dog of my own, Flicka, so I understand the other side of pet care too. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with another person and how reassuring it can be to know they’re safe, comfortable, and receiving plenty of attention. I’m interested in continuing to expand my knowledge of animal care, including completing pet CPR and first-aid training. I would also eventually like to further my education in areas such as grooming and dog behavior and training. Most importantly, when your pet is with me, I want them to be treated with the same patience, affection, attention, and respect that I would want someone to give my own dog. 🐾 Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine, and I currently have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the animals in my care. I am available for dog walking, drop-in visits, doggy daycare, and boarding throughout the week, including many mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Because my schedule is flexible, I can often accommodate different routines, whether your pet needs an early morning potty break, midday walk, afternoon playtime, evening visit, or more consistent care throughout the day. I do my best to maintain each pet’s normal feeding, exercise, potty, medication, and sleep schedule so their routine is disrupted as little as possible while you’re away. I also have my own dog, Flicka, so caring for animals is already a part of my everyday life! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow all instructions you provide regarding feeding, medications, potty routines, walks, behavioral needs, household rules, and anything else that helps your pet feel comfortable and secure. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both your home and your pet’s established routine. I make sure doors, gates, leashes, harnesses, and other safety measures are secure, and I never assume that every animal has the same needs or comfort level. For pets staying in my home, I have my own dog, Flicka. Because every dog has a different personality, I want to make sure everyone will be comfortable together before an extended stay. Introductions and meet-and-greets are very important to me. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos while your pet is in my care. I know how reassuring it is to see that your pet is safe, happy, and being well cared for while you’re away.
About: Animals love me for my calm, loving demeanor. I am a good pack leader and provide a safe and fun place for your fur baby while your away. I am retired with plenty of time on my hands. It gets lonely at times so I enjoy the company of both dogs and cats. You can trust that I will take care of your fur babies the same as I do my own. They are part of the family and have rules to follow for everyone's benefit and safety.

“Harper (a cat) is very shy and tends to hide from everyone. I adopted her about six months ago, knowing she needed special considerations, so having someone new in the house was potentially traumatic for her. Eric patiently cared for her while I was traveling and overcame her spooky tendencies. He has cared for my pets for several years and befriended a couple of difficult characters.”

“Shae was great with both of our dogs for an afternoon/evening stay at her home. She had a handful of dogs in her care, and she had a calm demeanor and good control of all the dogs. I would recommend her to care for your dogs.”

“Peter communicated promptly about pre-scheduled arrangements and Cora felt very comfortable and happy while with him. His house is located on a beautiful street with old trees alley close by the beaches. We appreciated his last minute availability and will be glad to request dog care again in the future.”

“Dorothy is great with my 1 yr. old puppy. She is patient but consistent with dealing with his puppy energy and lack of focus. I can tell he enjoys being with her. Thank you, Dorothy!”

“Wonderful family! So welcoming, attentive and kind to our Chevy girl! Lots of video and photo coverage of her day with them along with so much play time and walks at the park. Chevy got along so well with Marley too, which was so lovely. Will 100% use them in the future for our day care needs!”

About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember! I grew up on a farm and have dog sat for friends and family since I was 12. I have both experienced training a puppy of my own and also taking care of a senior dog. I like being active and outside so I would love to take you dogs for walks and play with them while you are gone. I have 1 dog of my own, she is a very energetic cane corso! I’m currently a college student so I have a very flexible schedule with 2 hours in between some of my classes. On weekdays I would mostly be available for drop in’s. To let your pets outside and play with them until I need to get back school. Fridays and weekends I am completely free. I do not have a fenced in yard. I have lots of land so I trained my dog with an invisible fence so she knows not to wonder off with a human with her. My dog does have her own room that acts as a crate.
About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, birds, and all sorts of animals since I was a kid. Once I turned 16, I started housesitting and taking care of others' dogs and cats. In the last couple years I've moved out to a farm with my boyfriend where we take care of lots of different farm animals. There is cats and a dog that live in a different house on the property and all farm animals are fenced in. Your pets can interact or be kept very far away from the farm animals. Living on 200 acres, I have lots of space to accommodate to your needs. I am free everyday except Monday and Wednesday. I am searching for a new job but until then I can do anytime on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All farm animals are kept in by fences, but we do not have any fenced in area for dogs. There is lots of yard and trails for leashed walks. If your pet comes when called, I can watch them while they explore the big back yard. Our home is a one bedroom and the cats and dog do not live with us. My boyfriend's parents live on the property and keep them inside there most of the time. It is up to you if you want them to interact with your pets or not.

About: Hey guys! I'm just a Midwest girl living in my Midwest world! I have the typical Veteran husband and one of our three kids still living at home! We have a 7 pound Chihuahua and two kittens who are the current rulers of the home. I bring a professional, hands-on background to every dog I care for, shaped by my experience, work in the military and training dogs across a wide range of needs. From guiding young puppies through early obedience and socialization to reinforcing structure and confidence in adult dogs, I focus on calm, consistent, and respectful handling. My approach blends proven training principles with genuine affection—clear communication, routine, and trust, paired with plenty of attention and care. On our private 20-acre property, dogs have the space to decompress, explore safely, and enjoy a peaceful environment while still receiving individualized guidance and close supervision. While we do have 20 acres that we can walk through we also have a fenced in area and GPS Fence collars for your dog to use. Depending on the training your dog has been through we can work with you to see what fits best. I am a full time mom who homeschools her kid. My husband is home part time so most of the time we are home if not pup will be crated. I have a fenced in yard and a pet safe GPS collar for the pups. So no matter what the pup will be secured. There is no gate to leave the fenced in area so to leave you have to go through the house.
