“Amber took care of my senior cock-a-poo for the day. He is an old guy with issues (deaf, anxiety) and she seemed unfazed by his challenges. I found Amber to be very pleasant and kind, and she and her child are clearly animal lovers! I always worry about my dog staying with anyone, but I felt comfortable leaving him with her. Thank you, Amber!”

“Very responsive to messages! I appreciated the pictures of our dog while they were there and could see how happy Coco was being there! Thank you again! An absolute pleasure and will definitely book again if needed!”

“It was our first time leaving Murphy overnight, and Christine did a fantastic job. She was patient, caring, and kept us updated throughout his stay with plenty of pictures and videos, which gave us great peace of mind. Murphy eventually warmed up to her dogs and had a wonderful time playing in the backyard. It was clear that Christine took the time to make him feel comfortable and cared for. Thanks to her, we were able to fully enjoy our trip knowing Murphy was in good hands, and he had his own little vacation too! We would definitely trust Christine with Murphy again and highly recommend her to other pet parents.”

“April did great! We have never used Rover before or left our dog with anyone other than family, so naturally I was really nervous about leaving her with someone we didn’t know, especially for 3 nights. April did wonderful updating us with pictures throughout the weekend and was super fast on responding to any messages I sent her. If you’re a nervous first-time rover user like we were, it’s totally understandable but I highly recommend April.”

“On a busy holiday weekend, Kelley agreed to care for our puppy and a nine day commitment! As always, she is very caring and loving, and gives constant attention to our very active dog. During this nine day period, Kelley even took our dog on an outing where she was able to play on a large acreage area with companion dog. What a great change of pace and opportunity for our puppy to be able to do lots of sniffs and get plenty of exercise. I highly recommendKelli for her flexibility, her at tentativeness and her genuine caring for pups.”

“Sarah was great! I got pictures and updates about my pups! They whined in the car when we left because they had so much fun! This was my first time away from my pups and I was nervous, but now I will let my pups visit their new friends when we go away again!”

“Susan made me feel very comfortable leaving Cora with her. You can tell she is a true animal lover! She sent updates and pictures and Cora was well looked after. We’ll use her again!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a more loving and caring dog sitter for our two dogs. Sonya and her family actively gave 100% excellent care. It started out as a weekend, and by necessity, ended up being more than a week long job. The entire time that our dogs were there, we received regular communications and photos of the dogs enjoying time outside, and indoors with the family. If you’re looking for someone who give your dog everything that they need, Sonya is the answer. Should we ever need a dog sitter again, we know where we’re going. Huge thank you to you Donya and your family!”

“Jacqueline was very communicative before and during my dog's stay. I had a last minute request, but she was able to accommodate us and sent cute pictures of my dog. My dog has a great time playing and snuggling!”

“Jenny was fantastic with Jefferson! She was incredibly respectful with our instructions and sent pictures and updates of a happy puppy. Jenny was also flexible when it came to pick up and drop off-our schedules didn't really match but she made it work. We will definitely be using Jenny in the future!”

“Nicole and her family were wonderful!! They took great care of my Pointer Stella and she had a good experience. They sent me pictures of Stella with Nicole’s family and her friendly pets. I would most definitely recommend her to any of my friends or whoever reads this! I will definitely be bringing Stella back for more visits!”

“This is my second time trusting Deb to care for Ralph. It was a very last minute request and I thank her tremendously for being there for me and Ralph in a pinch. Deb’s home is clean and well maintained. I love that Ralph always has friends to play with when he goes there and she takes excellent care of Ralph. I trust her completely.”
“Jason and Kristen are so great with our dog Sydney! This weekend was Sydney’s third visit in the last two months. She gets SO excited when we drop her off; which in my mind is such a great indication of how much she loves spending time with them!! They send pictures and respond very quickly whenever I send a message to “check on Sydney”! We couldn’t be happier we found Sydney a home away from home when she’s unable to go with us. Thank you Jason and Kristen for taking such great care of our girl Sydney!!”

“Crystal is the first rover sitter that kept both of my 7 month old puppies. I really appreciate the care that she showed towards my babies and would highly recommend and will request her again if she is available 🥰”

“Kathy was terrific with our dog. We got texts and pictures daily letting us know how things were going. She was also very accommodating with our drop off and pick up. Our family will definitely use Kathy again in the future.”

“Nicole and her family took great care of Remi for us. Communication was great at drop off, pick up, and during the stay. Remi's meds were given on time, and we received pictures throughout her stay to show us she was being treated like royalty.”

“Taya was amazing with Nala. My puppy had a great time and she was so well taken care of. I got lots of pics so I didn’t worry about her at all. Will absolutely send her again!”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life! I started out taking care of dogs for my neighbors and family, which eventually led to working at a dog training and boarding facility where I was responsible for daily care, feeding, and walking pups of all sizes. On a personal level, I cared for my own senior Labrador when she was very sick, so I am extremely patient, attentive, and comfortable handling special care or delicate routines. Today, I’m a proud dog parent to Eddie, my 5-year-old Coton de Tulear. Whether your pup needs fun daily walks or gentle, cozy company, I’ll treat them with the exact same love and care I give my own! Taking care of pets is part of my everyday. I have a very open and flexible schedule, I can easily jump throughout the week and on weekends. I spend most of my time hanging out with Eddie, so taking care of your dog fits right in! Safety and peace of mind are my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I respect your space and strictly follow exact routines. My experience working at a boarding facility taught me to always double check leashes, keep gates closed, and stay aware. Plus, nursing my own senior Lab taught me to watch closely for any changes in comfort or behavior. You’ll always get regular photos and updates so you know your pup is safe and happy!

“Brooklyn is super sweet and was very communicative which I really appreciate! I’ve never used Rover or any other site to find someone to watch my baby (my elderly cat) so I was pretty anxious, but Brooklyn was great and I will definitely be booking her again if I need someone to watch my baby!”

“We had such a great experience with Tina while we were away for two weeks. She took care of our two cats and did an amazing job. I was initially nervous to leave them, but I quickly felt at ease knowing they were in such good hands. Tina was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about their well-being. She sent daily updates with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. One of our cats needed medication and was difficult about taking it while we were gone, but Tina was incredibly patient and persistent, trying different ways to help and keeping us updated the whole time. About: Your dog will be my dog while in my care. I am a huge animal lover who has always made my animals a part of my family, not just an animal. Starting May 4th, I will be training for a new job. My training hours will be 8-5, if you can work around those time please reach out. My yard is not fenced so your babies will only be outside when I am out there with them, leashed if required. I do not agree with leaving a dog alone all night when they are already seeing a difference with their family being gone. If they are dog friendly they would have socialization as well with my friends and family dogs so they could get some interaction and extra exercise! I currently work from home so frequent potty breaks or administration of medication would not be an issue. We would be one big happy family all day long My dogs are not crated when I leave the house but do have an extra large one if required for your baby. If you need me to do a drop in visit, my hours for availability are in the air for the next couple of weeks until I am given my new works hours.
About: I've had different dogs in the house for my whole life. As a kid my family brought dogs in for foster care. We've taken care of multiple dogs with disabilities, including deaf dogs and partially blind dogs. Dogs get along with me well and I'm good at getting shy dogs to warm up to me. I've also volunteered with the Jackson County Animal Shelter, working with the cats at PetSmart. I've also taken care of relatives'/friends'/neighbors' pets. Currently I spend most of my time at home working on my online classes so I will have plenty of time to spend caring for your dog. On the rare chance that I'm not home at least one of my parents are in the house and will be able to fill in for me while I'm out. The dogs that I own eat at the same time everyday and go out as needed, but if your dogs need to be treated differently it will be easy to change things for them. Just fill me in on what your pet needs to be taken care of properly and I should be able to get it done.

About: Through my time training in IPO, I have developed the skills needed to handle high-energy and working breeds with confidence. However, I welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes. Whether your dog is a high-drive athlete or a quiet senior, they will find a safe, structured home here. I’m home full‑time on a quiet rural property, so dogs fit naturally into my daily routine. I provide regular outdoor breaks, feeding, exercise, and constant supervision throughout the day. I have a dedicated indoor and outdoor roofed kennel setup with five separate kennels, indoor and outdoor cameras for security, and a secure 16×20 fenced play area. Dogs stay in a clean, safe, structured environment with constant monitoring.

I am also CPR and First Aid certified for cats and dogs, and I prioritize safety, comfort, and consistency in every visit. I prefer in-home pet care only (at the client's home), as I have my own pets at home, including 5 dogs and 3 cats. My services include drop-in visits, feeding, walks, playtime, litter box and cage cleaning, medication administration, puppy care, and overnight stays. I have experience with large and small dogs, leash training, basic obedience reinforcement, and high-needs care routines. I treat every pet like my own and focus on maintaining their normal routines while owners are away. I am dependable, punctual, and communicative, and I provide attentive, compassionate care so pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their own home. “A-MAY-ZING My pup had the BEST time at Taya’s! She got lots of playing, and I got lots of pics and video of how much fun she was having. We will definitely be back, and driving from Battle Creek because it’s worth it. Thanks guys!”

“Danielle and her Alaska Huskies were wonderful! She was fun and helpful and obviously loved my fur babies and set limits so they knew what was acceptable behavior on her turf! She was accommodating as well. One evening my class went overtime. She had no problem keeping my boys until I could be there. She communicated by text to let me know how they were doing each day. She allowed us to visit before our appointed time so my dogs could be introduced to her dogs. Danielle was wonderful! I highly recommend her!!”

About: I’ve cared for my own dogs for over 30 years and have provided backup support for a very successful petting sitting service for over 7 years. I’m currently working part-time. I’m a widow with grown children that live on their own. I have a Pomeranian of my own who is 10 years old. I’m available often. I have a small dog of my own to keep your pup company. Your pup will be leashed when walked around my circular HOA community
“Deb is a true gem! She took such excellent care of my two little dogs and they came home after both days with her with happy faces and tired bodies from playing. My shy girl, Clover even snuggled and took a nap at her house! AMAZING sitter, highly recommend Deb. She has a house designed for pups and a beautiful, peaceful and huge backyard. She's home most of the time and just treats your dogs with genuine love and sweetness. I am moving too far to use her services again, but sad to say so, because our experience with her was just absolutely perfect. There may be sitters in the Battle Creek area that charge less, but having tried them with very mixed results - I assure you Deb is worth every penny!”

“We took our two dogs to Alice for a day trip - we were headed to Lake Michigan, and wanted to be sure the dogs were well cared-for. Alice was very cordial and her instructions clear. The dogs seem happy and content, and I couldn't believe the report on the dogs I received by email! It was a wonderful thing to see that they were doing well. Nice touch! No doubt a lot of work for Alice, but it is appreciated. We'll definitely book with Alice again. Happy dogs are very important to us.”

About: I’m knowledgeable in breed-specific needs and maintain consistency to keep them mentally and physically happy! I have previously taken dog behavior courses and am familiar with dog body language. I have worked with dogs of all sizes and ages! No dog is “too much!” I am comfortable with administering medications and providing grooming for long haired/high maintenance breeds. I have worked with puppies all the way up to senior dogs so I am comfortable handling all ages. I have a full-time job but am more than happy to fit time in to take care of your lovely fur baby. My typical shift is 8:00-4:30pm M-F. I have open availability on weekends to provide housesitting! If you are looking for constant care (pet cannot be left alone for 4 hours or more), I am happy to provide that however, I do charge a constant care rate if during the work week as I will need to take those days off and I will need to recoup lost salary. For constant care pets, I do require at least a month’s notice ahead of time so I can get that time off to accommodate. I will never take a sit if my work schedule cannot accommodate it—your pet’s care and safety is extremely important to me. I will work with you to decide if I am the right fit for your pet’s needs and routine. Nothing is worse than upsetting your pet’s routine and comfortability! I now offer drop-visits as well! This is great for people who might need someone to check in your fur baby a couple times a day but does not need around-the-clock needs. I am happy to drop in before work (8am) and can drop by after work! If you’re someone who works longer shifts, this is perfect for you! I am comfortable crating your pet if requested but they are also more than welcome to share a bed with me if they are used to sleeping with you! If you have an unfenced yard, I will keep them on leash at all times. If you have a fenced yard, I will stay out and monitor them until they are ready to come inside. Doors will be locked at all times whether I am in the home with your pet or if I’m at work. If you have any home-alarm systems, I will use them as well.

About: As a kid i’ve always been surrounded by animals, all kinds! I’ve worked with dogs learning how to shake, sit and lay! I’ve dog sat for multiple families and friends and have extended experience. I’ve also volunteered since middleschool to help animals on the streets and many rescues! Dog sitting isn’t just something to do for money, but for love and a hobby! I am a college student who works part time, so working around my schedule will be pretty easy! I often find myself with free time and would love to use it with animals! I’m a very patient person when it comes to animals, my yard is not fenced but I am more than willing to take a walk as many times as needed!
About: New to Rover but not new to caring for animals. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and attentive to each pet’s routine. I’m a dependable, structured sitter who understands that pets do best when they feel safe, calm, and cared for—just like at home. As a busy mom managing a full household, I naturally bring consistency, patience, and attention to detail into everything I do—including pet care. I’m especially great with dogs who: • prefer routine • have a little anxiety • need calm, steady energy You can expect: ✔ timely communication ✔ daily photo + message updates ✔ a clean, safe, low-stress environment ✔ someone who treats your pet like family—but with structure I know how important it is to trust the person watching your pet, and I take that seriously. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease while you’re away. I’m currently working remotely so I’ll have plenty of companionship for your pet. I walk often myself so I’d be happy to exercise with your pet as well. I have a large yard that is unfenced. I’m open to coming to your home as well. I also have two daughters that are dog lovers that can’t wait to play with and love on your pets!
About: I have a love for animals big and small. I enjoy exploring and making new experiences with animals. I have experience with elderly and medical needs animals. I work as a nanny and have sometimes weeks off and would love to have an animal to take care of and take places with me. I have a house with 13 acres, for dogs that are not recall trained I use a 10 ft leash and always make sure leases are on before the door opens. I have a separate room for my own animals that way if rabbits or cats are meet with aggression all animals will be safe.
About: I will love and care for your furry friends as I do my own. I've owned dogs my whole life and my family would say it's a passion I've never fulfilled (but will be thanks to rover!) I've owned all size breeds so teacup or a small horse, I've got you covered! I am a Navy Veteran and current full-time student at the University of Michigan and my husband works from home 100% of the time. Your pups will never be left unsupervised. We have two other dogs in the home who love having guests and making new friends. Feedings can take place whenever you deem necessary for you! We have a ton of treats (SCHNACKS) ready to spoil and pamper your puppers as we do our own. I live on 7 acres of land in a private community, and have approximately 1 acre of fenced in yard directly off the back of the house. Your friends will be able to take plenty of potty breaks and nice tranquil walks in the "countryside". They will be kenneled at night (around 11p.m.) in a dark, empty room in a padded kennel. (I know it sounds depressing but is actually super relaxing for doggos!). Doggie bath services are also negotiable.

About: I am a college student at Grand Valley State University. I am home for the summer, I have grown up with animals my whole life, and I absolutely love them! Pet care fits into my routine by being something I prioritize every day. Since I have five cats and one Beagle, I have responsibilities like feeding them, cleaning litter boxes, walking my dog, and making sure they're healthy and happy. Being a college student has taught me how to balance these responsibilities with classes, studying, and other commitments. I make sure pets are fed on time, have fresh water, get exercise and attention, and have a clean-living space. Since I care for five cats and one Beagle at home, I'm comfortable managing multiple pets and following a daily routine. In a client's home, I would carefully follow their care instructions, keep the pets comfortable, and treat both their pets and home with respect.
About: I bring a wealth of practical knowledge and a calm, attentive approach to pet care. My experience includes working with dogs on basic obedience and providing dedicated senior care, including administering medications. I'm highly patient and capable of giving your pets the personalized time and attention they deserve to thrive while you're away. I'm currently maintaining a full-time schedule, but my availability opens up perfectly for daytime pet care. I'm available to care for your beloved animals Monday through Saturday, specifically from twelve noon until five o'clock in the afternoon, allowing me to provide consistent, attentive service while I start building this exciting clientele. I create a secure, attentive environment where each pet's health, nutrition, and safety are my highest priorities during visits and walks. I'm diligent with medication schedules, custom feeding plans, and providing constant, loving care to ensure complete peace of mind.
About: I’ve taken care of nine animals in one house before. I’ve taken care of senior dogs and young puppies. I also have taken care of Snakes, Sugar gliders, Chinchillas and more. I have an open schedule. I will most likely accept requests if i’m available that day. I’d love to watch animals everyday if I could. I stay at the clients home if they are comfortable with me doing so. I spend all day caring and spending time with your pets.

I am very active and outgoing and truly enjoy spending time with all animals. I would love to watch and care for you pets! I just recently graduated from Michigan State University and I am studying and applying to law school this fall! I am pretty flexible so feel free to reach out any time!

“Robin was great! She took excellent care of Emme. We haven't been apart much and I was nervous, but Robin kept her safe and happy. I will definitely use Robin again when I'm in Hillsdale!”

About: Dogs have always been a part of our family, and caring for them is something we genuinely love. Over the past 15 years, we’ve shared our home with four dogs, including caring for three into their senior years through age-related and chronic health conditions. We’ve also raised a litter of puppies, giving us experience with young dogs and the extra patience, attention, and consistency they require. Because I work from home, your dog will receive plenty of supervision, companionship, and care throughout the day instead of being left alone for long periods. We have a fully private fenced yard for safe outdoor play, and our three dog-loving children have been raised to be gentle and respectful with animals. While we’re not looking to add another dog to our family permanently, we’d love to open our home to yours. Our goal is to provide a safe, loving, family environment where every dog feels comfortable, cared for, and right at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home, allowing me to be present with the dogs throughout the day. Potty breaks, outdoor play, walks (if requested), feeding, medication, and plenty of affection are all easily incorporated into my schedule. I truly enjoy spending time with dogs, so they won’t just be supervised—they’ll be part of our family’s day. Whether your pup loves to play, relax, or simply be near people, they’ll receive plenty of attention, companionship, and love while they’re with us. I also make it a priority to keep pet parents updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident your dog is happy and well cared for during their stay. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities. Because I work from home, your pet will have supervision and companionship throughout the day rather than being left alone for extended periods. I take the time to learn each dog’s individual routine, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise needs, medications, and any special instructions, so they can maintain the routine they’re used to at home. Our home has a fully private fenced yard for safe outdoor play, and all dogs are monitored while outside. I believe every dog deserves patience, kindness, and plenty of affection, and I treat each guest as if they were one of my own. I also understand that every dog has a different personality, so I take introductions slowly and always prioritize a calm, low-stress environment. Throughout your dog’s stay, I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, loved, and having a great time.
“Anne was a wonderful dog sitter. She listened to the idiosyncrasies of my pup and understood that I wasn't being crazy pet owner. She kept him very busy and spoiled him with time and scritches. I would definitely recommend her.”

“My boy Tucker is a very playful, snuggly guy that requires a lot of attention aka love. Sabrina and family gave him just what he needed to feel comfortable and his playmate Stella was the cheery on top! We really appreciated all the photo updates on our boy and seeing him happy and having a great time! We will definitely be booking again the next time we need a sitter. A huge thank you to Sabrina and Family!”
