I offer drop in visits, dog walking, doggy daycare, boarding and house sitting. Additionally, I have experience taking care of my parent's diabetic cat, when they went out of town, which included giving him insulin shots twice a day, so I am comfortable with some medical needs' animals. My cat, Penny, is technically a senior cat, and she remains very healthy and happy! I also have experience taking care of my friends' senior dogs overnight when her and her family went out of town. As well as my own senior dog, Bentley, who has passed away. It has been a few years, but my heart is still too broken to think about welcoming a dog into my home for forever, but I so miss having a dog's company, so, temporary will have to do for now! She got to live her last two years living inside the house, cozy as can be, with me, my dog & cat. We all loved it! Long story short, I'm also available for some farm animal sitting. About: I've cared for both healthy cats and cats with underlying conditions. For 10 years I had a cat that was diabetic that I had to administer insulin to. My current cat is 15 and requires a lot of love and attention.My cat Mabel is a rescued kitten/ cat almost 16 years ago on Halloween night while coming home from work , about 4 cars ahead of me something went flying out the window . I was able to stop and pull over due to not having other cars behind me . It was very cold that night and the sun was just starting to set . I got out of my car and looked around for a few minutes but didn't see anything and I got ready to leave I hear faint cry and I turned and looked down into some tall weeds and there she was , this poor malnourished kitten crying for help . To make a long story short I got her home and the day my wife and I took her to vet . They kept her for 3 days running ivs into her . We able to come and after 3 days thinking she wasn't going make it. And here she is still with after such a traumatic start to her life . I am very grateful to have Mabel as my best friend and wouldn't trade for the world . I love you very much Mabel .

About: I’ve had animals my entire life. My real passion is dogs and I’m focused on dog sitting/boarding/daycare, but I’m happy to take care of cats and drop in for other animals. I have owner trained one at home service dog and am in the process of owner training a public access service dog. I have two yellow labs (one bench, one field), a mixed breed rescue, and a cat. All my animals are very animal friendly. My big lab does take a noisy minute to adjust, but he’s a big sweetheart once he’s got the lay of the land. I have a yard with a living fence and a wooded property where the dogs can be walked if needed. I am home full time and just becoming an empty nester, so I have plenty of time and attention to devote to our furry friends. Most days it will just be me and the animals on our wooded property so there’s plenty of time and room for relaxation and play. I have a fairly large fenced yard and wooded surrounding property. My home is laid back and the animals are treated like family. They are welcome on furniture and have plenty of room to play and toys to play with. I just ask they be on tick and heartworm prevention as there are many bugs in the woods. I have regular experience with basic grooming and administering meds. I have crates available if needed or preferred. I’ll do my best to care for them as you want. Our big lab, George does have some scary looking anxiety upon meeting (barking and growling). If you are boarding/daycare/meet and greet with us, George will be in a pen on leash, harness, and muzzle to start (either inside or outside weather dependent-prefer outside). As your dog explores, I will work with George to adapt to the new situation and eventually greet your dog appropriately. Once that happens, he’s good with appropriate play, boundary setting, etc…. It’s just the initial greeting that needs a little more management.

About: I have had cats and dogs my whole life, and they have enriched my life so much. I volunteered at animal shelters, working with dogs of all kinds, and socializing with the cats. I regularly walked dogs and was a dog/house sitter for over a year, then took a brief hiatus while I was working full time and am getting back into dog sitting now that I have a house of my own, and can offer boarding services! I have also had two puppies over my life that I helped raise and take care of into their old age. I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to spend loving your critters, and my partner works fully remote so he is available to let dogs in and out while I am gone! We have a large fenced in backyard with lots of room to run and play, plus we love going on walks when we have dogs visiting us. We have two cats, Swiper and Bilbo, who are both familiar with dogs, and can be shy but very friendly. They also have their own hideaway which houses their food and litter that dogs do not have access to in case they need some time to themselves. My mom's dog, Juno, also visits us frequently, and she LOVES having playmates around and gets along with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I make sure to take swift action on any problems that may arise, and communicate frequently in detail. You can rest easy knowing I treat any critter in my care as if they were one of my own, and you will also receive picture updates every day, usually multiple times a day.

About: I have been in the veterinary medicine field for about 4 years now between working in small animal and large animal clinics over the years as well as through school at Michigan State University. I have been trained to minister care for all cats/dogs of all breeds/sizes. If your pet has any health issues such as diabetes or has hit senior years, no worries! New puppy paws running around? Glad to be of assistance to help them learn better manners and play til the nap! I am a full time Veterinary Technician at a local veterinary hospital in Kalamazoo. My schedule is a typical “8-5” job and have an 1 hr break for lunch during that time. I can be very flexible since I have some free days during the week and can provide care for your pets around my schedule. I’m free most weekends but work from 8-2 on some Saturdays. Since I am not able to keep your pets in my home due to space, I will treat your home with all respect. If you have places and boundaries that are set, they will be followed accordingly.
