“When I came across Rover and what it was all about, I was positive that this would be a site I would never use. Allowing someone else to care for my dog in their home, was an uncomfortable concept to me. However, when I had a vacation scheduled, and my go-to dog boarding center was booked, Rover was the only option. Clara's name was mentioned to me by another Rover user who was not able to dog sit my exact dates needed. When I messaged Clara, she replied within 5 minutes saying "YES! I will take care of your dog." No questions asked. She lives about 30 minutes from where I am located in Kzoo, but trust me when I say she is worth the drive. Her house is immaculate, and she has other wonderful pups, a horse and great fenced in greenspace outside. We received pictures and a brief summary of our dog every day. About: I've cared for both healthy cats and cats with underlying conditions. For 10 years I had a cat that was diabetic that I had to administer insulin to. My current cat is 15 and requires a lot of love and attention.My cat Mabel is a rescued kitten/ cat almost 16 years ago on Halloween night while coming home from work , about 4 cars ahead of me something went flying out the window . I was able to stop and pull over due to not having other cars behind me . It was very cold that night and the sun was just starting to set . I got out of my car and looked around for a few minutes but didn't see anything and I got ready to leave I hear faint cry and I turned and looked down into some tall weeds and there she was , this poor malnourished kitten crying for help . To make a long story short I got her home and the day my wife and I took her to vet . They kept her for 3 days running ivs into her . We able to come and after 3 days thinking she wasn't going make it. And here she is still with after such a traumatic start to her life . I am very grateful to have Mabel as my best friend and wouldn't trade for the world . I love you very much Mabel .

I have also grown up on a farm so I am very comfortable caring for large farm animals as well. About: We had a small dog when our children were out of high school and our world revolved around him. We miss him a lot since he crossed the rainbow bridge but I am lucky to be a grandma to 5 dogs—a Saint Bernard, a chihuahua mix, 2 terrier mixes and a German Shepherd mix. All rescue dogs with some quirky personality traits that make them a challenge and fun. I have also cared for my sister’s senior Maltese and a neighbor’s senior Boxer. Dogs are my favorite animal and I just love spending time with them! I recently retired from being a paraprofessional at a local school so I have a pretty flexible schedule. My husband works on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays so those days I am much more available but he is flexible if I’m working or have something scheduled. We live out in the country and have a fenced in yard so dogs can play and have some fun time running free. Our neighborhood is safe to walk dogs (we used to walk our little guy around the block daily—1 1/4 miles) and there are also 2 parks close by that we could walk if they seem bored with the block.

I was late droping-off and picking up, but Natalie was so flexible, which I greatly appreciated. About: Dogs and cats have been part of my family my whole life! I have also been a dog sitter for over 10 years. A few years ago, my husband and I raised 6 puppies from birth until they went to their new homes at 10 weeks. We currently have three dogs: Ash (Siberian Husky), Koda (Australian Shepherd), and Hickory (Husky-Australian Shepherd mix) who we love to play with, take for walks, and run around in the backyard. I’ll make sure no love is lost and keep your fur family entertained while you’re away :) I have worked with many dogs outside of the Rover app and love them all - big or small, old or young, stubborn or sweet - and I would love to meet and care for your dog(s) too when you can’t. I may have my toddler in tow with me at times, who loves dogs as well, but if needed I can arrange someone to care for her while I complete the booking. So please communicate if your furry companion is not toddler friendly. About: I have had pets my whole life and love to spend time and play with all animals. I have been dog and cat sitting for 8 years for coworkers and friends. I have a 5 year old Catahoula Hound mix that I adopted from the SPCA! When I house sit he does need to come with me. He has never had issues with other dogs or cats. I am a medical assistant during the week for Bronson and would love to spend time with animals on the weekends or after work playing or going for walks. Stella was taken care of very well, she looked very comfortable in the pictures I received and I picked her up healthy and happy. She even found some new playmates during her stay. I will gladly book another stay with Julie should the need arise.”

He had such a wonderful stay, made so many new friends, and came home happy and well cared for. “When I came across Rover and what it was all about, I was positive that this would be a site I would never use. Allowing someone else to care for my dog in their home, was an uncomfortable concept to me. However, when I had a vacation scheduled, and my go-to dog boarding center was booked, Rover was the only option. Clara's name was mentioned to me by another Rover user who was not able to dog sit my exact dates needed. When I messaged Clara, she replied within 5 minutes saying "YES! I will take care of your dog." No questions asked. She lives about 30 minutes from where I am located in Kzoo, but trust me when I say she is worth the drive. Her house is immaculate, and she has other wonderful pups, a horse and great fenced in greenspace outside. We received pictures and a brief summary of our dog every day. Throughout my vacation, I never worried once about my dog. Clara's first impression made me feel like my dog was immediately apart of her pack. I 1000% recommend Clara for boarding.”
