About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs, and then when I was able to I had two large breeds of my own for many years. Currently, we have a 2-yr old Bernese mountain dog and an older cat at home. I’m a teacher with a very open availability during summer and would love to fill it with taking care of your dogs - any breed but happy to provide confidence for high energy larger breeds. I’m a full-time teacher, so if you’re booking during the summer my availability is pretty widely open to meet your pets needs. If it’s during the school year, the weekends are there for loving your pet. I love to walk and exercise and am happy to take your dog for long walks as needed. Alternatively if they’re at my house, they can play with our Bernese Mountain Dog in the backyard for endless hours! Our yard is fenced in and the gates are always locked.
“Truly one of the best sitters I’ve ever had. She sent me tons of pictures, kept me updated, helped me in a jam. Such a kind, awesome human and obviously a huge true dog lover. Great house for dogs, outdoor space, she’s very responsible. I trusted her to give my senior dog her medicine and I know my dog had a blast because she slept the whole next day. 1000/10 sitter. BEST!”

“Daniel took excellent care of our collie Emma. He gave us daily updates. We particularly liked the fact that he took her (and his own two dogs) for walks multiple times daily. Will definitely use his services again!”

“Stephanie and Scott took terrific care of our senior pup, Luna. They were loving caregivers and clearly did all they could to make Luna comfortable and to love on and play with her. We received multiple updates and photos every day. We are most happy to have found this home away from home for her, and will definitely be bringing her back!”

“She and her husband did a wonderful job of caring for kur Labrador retriever for nearly two weeks. You can tell that they treat your dog like their own. Very pleased with Allison’s service in every way.”

“Cheyenne provided wonderful care for my dog Reno. She welcomed him inter her home and cared for him as if her were a regular part of her family. I strongly recommend her for anyone needed care for their beloved pet.”

“Jax really enjoyed his stay with Nikki, her pup and family! Nikki took great care of him and sent pictures and video. Her home was very welcoming, and the fenced in backyard was a definite plus!! I will definitely call upon Nikki again next time I need a caring sitter for my pup!!”

“Heather was amazing! I have a super hard time leaving my pup for any length of time, but Heather made it super easy. Sammy had a blast and learned a lot about self-control!!! She is a great sitter and trainer! He already misses her and her pups! Will for sure rebook in the future!!!!”

About: I'm an experienced elder with years of experience with cats. I know how important it is to find a true cat person to take care of your felines, as they require a different energy from humans. I have elderly cats at home that I have had since they were kittens. I have experience with feral kitties, strays, outdoor and indoor felines. I have a keen eye for behavior changes and have given all sorts of medications to my own cats (including asthma medications), so if you have one of these special creatures, feel free to reach out to see if I'm a good fit for your cat and their individual needs. Play? ✅ Just petting? ✅ Word buttons? ✅ Just sitting and talking and not invading their space? ✅ If it's cats, I can usually do it! Litter box contents reported out if requested. Photos sent daily (if they consent of course!) Barf inspection of your home done daily (because hey, cats.) Bedding refreshed if needed. Other things? Just ask to see if it's in my repertoire of skills. Morning visits are usually limited to weekends due to my FT work schedule, but if you need those as well, let me know and we'll see if there's something we can work out. About Myself: I am in my 60s and take pet ownership seriously. I have one cat who is currently on hospice care (Beastley) and another that is medically fragile (Shay). I also have a freeloader (Hammy) that comes and goes as he pleases, but "helps" me garden and sleeps in my garage. I work full time at a job I love and spend free time doing all sorts of things.
“Marissa took great care of our two cats during our weekend away. She charmed even our shy kitty during the intro visit and gave us the peace of mind that they’d have good company while we were away. Thank you Marissa for treating our babies like your own!”

“Kristen was so great! She left fabulous notes about her visits and my cats seemed very content and well cared for. She drove very far to take care of my kitties and so couldn’t be more grateful”

“Tiffany gave us so much peace of mind, dropping in on our two cats while we were away. She sent great photos, updates, and even took our garbage cans to the curb when we forgot! I would definitely recommend her to anyone, and hope to have her back when we travel again!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who knows that cats thrive on routine, patience, and a calm environment. Whether your cat is playful and social or prefers to observe from a cozy hiding spot, I’ll respect their personality and care for them at their own pace. During each visit, I’ll make sure your cat has fresh food and water, a clean litter box, playtime (if they’re interested), and plenty of love and attention. I’ll also keep an eye on their overall well being and let you know if I notice anything unusual. I understand how much peace of mind matters while you’re away, so I’ll send regular updates and photos so you can see how your fur baby is doing. My goal is to make your absence as stress free as possible, for both you and your cat.

About: I’ve loved and cared for cats since I was young and grey up with a family cat. Living and caring for a cat taught me the importance of respecting each pet’s unique personality, routine, and comfort level. I understand that cats prefer consistency and can be sensitive to changes in their environment. Whether your cat is social and playful, or more reserved, I’m happy to provide care tailored to their needs. During drop in visits, I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, playtime and companionship if they want it, and attention to help them feel comfortable while you’re away! My goal is to make you and your cat feel safe and well cared for in the comfort of yalls home. :)

“Jordan was wonderful! She provided a very safe environment for my kitty while I was away. My kitty was safe along with me having peace of mind that she was in good hands! Jordan provided an update every day with no issues! Thank you so so much! I would absolutely recommend 🙂”

“Patty was a great communicator from start to finish. She kept us informed on our cats and treated our house well. We would definitely let her watch our house and kitties again. Thanks Patty!”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Kingsley
“Lily had doggy day care with Daniel & she loved it! Daniel was a great communicator, easy to set up Lily’s stay & very friendly at drop off & pick up. I felt comfortable leaving Lily in his care. I would recommend Daniel to anyone looking to have their pet boarded or for doggie daycare 🐾 ❤️”

“Maggie had a great time with Cheryl and Sean! They took great care of her. They sent a video of Maggie playing out in the snow with their 4 year old and it looked like they were a great match. Cheryl kept in touch throughout the day and kept us posted on how everything was going. It was a great experience and they were very accomodating for a last minute booking.”

About: I am a long-time lover of animals, and have raised a family of humans, along with a family of pets- large dogs, small dogs, birds, hamsters, mice and turtles. I am currently without a pet, so I care for my backyard squirrels, birds, and chipmunks. I am retired with lots of time, energy, and love to care for your dear pet. I love to walk and hike, live close to the TART trail, and would enjoy the company of a furry friend. Walking trails are just outside my door, and I have space for crates and your furry friend's toys or their own special bed and blanket if preferred for their care and comfort.
“Angela was awesome and very accommodating to our last minute changes. Winston had a great time and felt right at home. Can’t wait to visit TC again now that we have a place for Winston to enjoy!”

About: I have helped owners with dog sitting/walking in the Traverse City area. I've had my dog and cat business for 5+ years and I spend my time with special dogs and cats during the day, overnights or on weekends. I cared for my two dogs until they passed away. Now I have time to devote to other pets who need my support. I have time in my life to care for your lovely dogs, walking them during the week and watching them for overnights on the weekends As my yard is not fenced in, I prefer to go to clients home to help out. I have a reliable vehicle and could come and visit

“Lindsey was absolutely amazing. I had a suprise visit from my family on a friday evening and wanted to bring them into Traverse City for the day, Lindsey responded first thing in the morning and was very accomadating. She was kind, asked about our pup, and made sure we felt so comfortable all while giving us updates throughout the day. I will absolutely be using her more as time goes on. If you have a pup who needs services like this please go see Lindsey, she will not disappoint.”
“We hired Brooklyn for 2 days of doggy daycare as we were camping in the area and wanted to do some long distance trails that our senior pup can no longer manage. Brooklyn was quick to communicate and was extremely responsive from the moment we inquired about her watching our dog. She did a wonderful job, sent us photos and when we picked up our dog she was busy playing with Brooklyn that she didn't even want to come home with us. Brooklyn was great and we appreciate her helping us out so we could enjoy all the wonderful trails in the area. If Brooklyn is still in the area when we come to the area next year I will make sure to check with Brooklyn first to see if she's available for watching our dog!”
“Bob was wonderful with my Molly Girl!! She had a great time. Bob took her for multiple walks, kept in touch with me the whole day, and sent me pictures to show how Molly was doing. Would highly recommend Bob for anyone who has dog needs in the Traverse City area!”

“Maggie was great with Dexter! He isn’t a fan of the snow (and there is currently a ton out.) So, it was nice that Maggie was able to do inside tricks with Dexter to keep him active. Highly recommend, will be booking again!”

“Sally was very welcoming to our two dogs. She communicated with us well and we appreciate having our dogs well taken care of while we toured the area. Would take them to Sally again!”

About: ’ve had hands-on experience caring for animals for many years. Since around age 12, I’ve regularly helped care for pets belonging to friends, family, and neighbors. During that time I’ve provided feeding, walking, bathing, pet sitting, playtime, and general daily care. I also have experience helping with basic training and working with dogs who were preparing for adoption, which helped me learn how to work with different personalities, energy levels, and comfort needs. Most recently, I’ve been volunteering at a local animal shelter for over 4 months. In this role, I assist with a variety of responsibilities including walking dogs, bathing, playtime and enrichment, administering medications when needed, transporting animals, and helping with overall animal care at the shelter. Working with animals in both home and shelter environments has given me experience with pets of different temperaments, and I always focus on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always do my best to provide reliable, attentive care. If you’re looking for someone dependable who genuinely cares about animals, I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pet! I’m currently in an on call sort of situation, so my schedule is very flexible! I ask that we at least get a few days advance notice due to a fluctuating schedule. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free for them. Through my experience caring for pets and volunteering at a local animal shelter, I’ve worked with animals of many different temperaments and understand the importance of patience, awareness, and safe handling. I always make sure pets are secure on walks, monitored during playtime, and given plenty of attention and care. I’m also happy to follow any specific instructions you have for feeding, medications, routines, or training. I believe communication is very important, so I’m glad to send updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.

I provide dependable, patient care and will treat your pets like they’re part of my own family. I am comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and can provide regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, feeding, medication (if needed), and lots of affection. My goal is to provide dependable, loving care that keeps both pets and their owners comfortable and confident.
About: I have been around animals since a very young age. I grew up having to care for my dogs, cats, horses, cows, and sheep! I participated in 4-H for 10 years showing both cattle and sheep. Throughout high school and college I worked at a doggy day care, that cared for both cats and dogs, either for day visits or overnight stays. I was responsible for making sure the animals were as comfortable as possible. This involved cleaning their kennels daily, feeding, and medications. Later, I worked as a veterinary assistant for 6 months. I have house/dog and cat sat for various friends and family members throughout the years as well. I am very flexible! I am more than happy to stay at your home while pet sitting or simply come by to care for the pet a couple times a day. Open to working with you to figure out the best solution for your pet. Unfortunately my current lease does not allow pets. I am more than happy to work with you and figure out a schedule/plan that would fit your needs! While I am at a clients house I would stay in good communication with them. In the past, I have sent daily pet photos to the client and sending them updates whenever possible.
“Grace has been great with my almost 6 month old puppy Scout! She makes sure he gets the playtime he needs in the middle of the day. Grace is very trustworthy and would recommend her for watching your furry animals!”

I’m a teacher and my husband works his job remote which allows us to have flexibility with letting dogs out and walking at various times of the day. I have availability all days and times during summer months and after 4:00 pm during the school year. James has more flexibility and is available to help any day and most times. We provide drop in services and dog walking. Our dogs are friendly but we’d leave them at home and focus on your pups while you need us. About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have hands on experience for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities! Growing up, my mom trained dogs professionally, which gave me early experience to dog behavior and proper pet care. Throughout high school, I regularly helped care for up to 10 dogs at a time, assisting with daily routines, exercise, feeding, and general care. I also grew up with a cat, and have always loved spending time with cats just as much as dogs. I understand that every pet has their own personality and comfort level, and I strive to make them feel safe and comfortable in yalls home. During college, I worked as a nanny for a family and was responsible for walking and caring for their two Great Danes. This experience gave me great confidence in handling larger breeds, and reminded me how important it is to be consistent and reliable. I bring responsibility, attention to detail, and genuine care to every pet I work with. Whether it’s a walk, a drop in visit, or overnight care, I will treat your pet just like family and provide you with updates, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I work full time Monday through Friday from 8AM-5PM at the Community Mental Health in downtown Traverse City, but have some flexibility. I am available for dog walks and drop in visits for an hour any time between 12PM-2PM during the week. I am available from 5:30PM-11 PM Monday-Friday, and have open availability on Saturdays and Sundays. Your pets safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with a beloved family member is a big decision, and I take it seriously. When caring for pets in their own home, I strive to keep their normal routine as closely as possible. Whether that means feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication routines, or just spending quality time together, I know that consistency helps pets feel secure and comfortable while their parents are away. I am always respectful of clients’ homes and will always follow care instructions carefully. I pay close attention to detail, keep doors and gates secure, monitor pets, and communicate promptly if any concerns arise. My goal is to give you and your pet a stress free experience and peace of mind that comes from knowing they are being care for by someone dependable, attentive, and genuinely invested in their wellbeing. Every pet deserves patience, kindness, and individualized care.

“Cheryl and Sean were amazing! They were beyond accommodating and so great at communication. They sent pictures and updates the whole time our pup was with them, which is always appreciated. They’re in a great location, which makes it very convenient to explore Traverse City. Really grateful for their help!”

“Olivia took our dog last minute and was so sweet and kind! She communicated well and sent us multiple pictures and updates during the week. Would definitely use her again!”

“Absolutely wonderful! Great experience for us and our dog from start to finish. Sally was really easy going and made it a seamless process for us. Perfect place if you’re dog needs a peaceful and calm environment. We will request her service again if we are ever in the area.”

“Michelle was amazing with our 1 year old Lab and we knew she was in good hands for the holiday weekend as soon as we met her! She most definitely is a dog lover, great with communication, sent wonderful pictures and provided welcome feedback. We will most certainly use her again next time we are in her area.”

“Marg was wonderful with our very high demand puppy. She provided lots of pupdates and gave him so many fun opportunities to get his energy out on special adventure walks. I would recommend Marg to anyone.”

“I reached out to Megan as a last minute booking for our two pups. She was able to take them and was even flexible when car trouble made us very late. She sent photos and updates of them while she had them which helped me feel better. Bella and Strawberry, both under 25 lbs, made themselves at home with 100+lb doggies. Bella is still young and had lots of fun playing with the big doggies. She’s also escaped from our house a couple times. Megan’s yard is very secure. I highly recommend Megan to take care of your pups!!!”
