About: I worked in a vet clinic during college and I studied animal science for a year and a half. I had cats growing up and hope to get a dog one day soon! We have 2 young kids right now, so we are not ready to own our own pet just yet. I am great with training and have trained my friends’ dogs and my cats. Both cats that I most recently lived with knew “up” and know how to sit on command. I am a teacher during the school year and home during the summer. I am free all summer except a trip here and there. I try to keep my calendar as updated as possible, but you can always reach out and ask! I have a big yard, but it is not fenced in so your dog would have to be on a leash. I do not have any pets, but we do have 2 kids.
About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs, and then when I was able to I had two large breeds of my own for many years. Currently, we have a 2-yr old Bernese mountain dog and an older cat at home. I’m a teacher with a very open availability during summer and would love to fill it with taking care of your dogs - any breed but happy to provide confidence for high energy larger breeds. I’m a full time teacher, so while weekdays do work, it would need to be around that sort of schedule during the school year. I can provide short term care on weekdays and more intensive care on weekends. During summer months I am wide open to provide care as needed. I’m an avid runner and LOVE to be outside so I’m happy to provide short or long walks for your animal. During summer months, my availability is based largely on your needs.

I have one eight year old female border now, Aurora. She loves fetch and gets along great with other pups and cats. I understand the quirks behind dogs and can manage their varying attitudes well. I’m great with farm animals and can help out there if needed too. I don’t always bring Aurora with me, but if you’re okay with the socialization she loves the company. “Jared was wonderful! He took wonderful care of our 2 dogs for 10 days! We loved getting pictures of the dogs and seeing them happy! I will definitely be booking with Jared again whenever we are in the traverse City area!”

About: I’ve had my own dog since I was 13, and have always had a dog since. My dog is my baby! One of my favorite pastimes is walking my dogs. I currently have 2 dogs. Fresh water always, lots of love, and good quality food/treats and getting outside for potty breaks are so important to me. I work full time day shift during the week. Weekends and evenings are free for me! I would love to drop in and take care of your pet while your away! Pets like their routines and I am totally respectful of that. I can accommodate their particular needs to keep them safe, happy and well cared for!
