I have loved and cared for dogs for more than 35 years, and I previously provided pet care through Rover in Washington State before our family moved back to Michigan. Now that we are settled in our country home, we are excited to welcome dogs again. Our current dogs, Daphne and Dusty, are both rescues and have very different personalities. They do well with friendly dogs who are a good fit for our home, and we are thoughtful about introductions, supervision, and giving dogs space when they need a break. We are a dog-loving family of six, and guest dogs are treated like part of the family. My seven-year-old son, Oliver, is my enthusiastic helper and is learning responsibility, kindness, and entrepreneurship through pet care. I personally handle all bookings, communication, feeding, medication, supervision, safety decisions, and care routines, while Oliver helps in age-appropriate ways. We have a large fenced yard with plenty of room to run, plus a peaceful country setting where dogs can relax, play, and enjoy lots of attention. We look forward to giving your dog a safe, happy, family-style vacation! I work from home and have a family of 6 so there will always be a responsible adult here with your pet and lots of people to play with them. Dogs are confined in crates or kennel runs for safety when I am not home or am unable to watch and monitor them. My yard is fully fenced with no gaps or holes. Flight risk dogs will be leash walked. Otherwise dogs will be out in my house integrated with my own pack as appropriate!

About: Responsible college student and animal lover. I have grown up around animals my whole life. Neighbors, friends, family have relied on me to walk, feed, and care for their pets. I have cared for pets of all sizes and personality types. I’m an animal lover looking to spend time with your pets, showering them with love and attention while you’re away. I am a college student at Michigan State University this year which means I am home on holiday breaks and summers as of right now! This still leaves plenty of time for me to care and love on your fur baby. I am available to come care for your pets for either the day or extended periods of time. I will ensure your pet is safe and well cared for while with me. I truly enjoy surrounding myself with a variety of pets. I am willing to work with each person to ensure their pets get the best care possible. When it comes to care for your pets in your home, I make it extremely important to put the pets first. Although each pet has different needs whether that is a walk, house sitting, or just a drop in visit. I make sure to shower you pet/pets with the love and care they deserve.
About: I’ve had a passion for animals my whole life and love being around any and all animals. I’m very flexible and open and am open for almost any work! I’m currently a student at MCC, though it’s now summer break. I do have a part time Job as well but usually work in short shifts to not be away from your pet for long! About: I have had a dog since I was 3 years old. I have dog sat for a variety of people back in Montana and in Michigan. I'm super excited to meet new people and dogs! I also get along with other animals as well. Growing up I had pigs, chickens, horses, and a dog. I have dog sat for other families since I was 13 and have been dog walking since I was 10 just for neighbor dogs. I have dog sat a three month old puppy for 3 months while his mom went out of the country. My schedule is pretty open and flexible. About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was young. I love dogs unconditionally and love to play with them, I feed them when needed, I can give baths, and I love to take them on walks. My friends and family have relied on me to dog-sit whenever I was available to do so. I’m currently an MSW student and work part time at the moment. Wednesdays and Fridays will typically be completely free all day. Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays I work till 5 PM in Grand Rapids. If services are in Newaygo I’m free at 6 PM once I’m back! I LOVE dogs so this is more of a side thing since I just genuinely enjoy playing and taking care of pups :) I have a fenced in yard and a very playful energetic dog. He is very sweet but he is like our baby so we don’t like to bring other dogs in just because he can get jealous and we don’t like to risk it.
About: My daughter and I are dog sitting for two reasons -- we flat out love dogs and my daughter is saving for college. While supporting my daughter's entrepreneurial spirit your dog will get a vacation of a lifetime. Without getting too deep into my resume, here are some highlights: -Handled five police dogs. 1000's of deployments. -Master Trainer for the International Police Work Dog Association. -Developed and taught a unique dog safety program. Have presented the hands on program from everyone to 1000's of second graders to regional UPS drivers. -Recognized expert witness in court on dog tracking, aggression, training, and deployment. -Over 75 nationally published articles on dog obedience, housing, behavior, training, etc. -Tested, certified, and trained working dogs from nearly all 50 states and several countries. (This year I've had dog teams travel to my home from Montana, Florida, Iowa, etc for assistance). I do all this because I simply love interacting with dogs. The love has spread to my 13 year old daughter. I currently have a very fun, young, and goofy dog -- a Vizsla named "Ranger." He clearly isn't a working dog and isn't a picture of obedience perfection. (I only mention this to let you know that despite my resume your dog doesn't have to be perfect and is coming into a very fun and loving household!) We've truly been a dog centered household for 20 years. My wife is a literal Saint! My private dog training rates, and I've turned down much more work than I've accepted, runs 10x the Rover.com rate we are charging. About: I’ve always had dogs and love caring for animals. I lost my beloved dog and I miss her wildly. Spending time with dogs allows me to honor that bond and brings me genuine joy; I truly enjoy getting to know each animal unique personality. About: I’ve taken care of dogs for a large part of my life. My parents neighbors and friends have relied on me to watch, walk, and feed their pets ever since I was able to. I am available for dog walking in mornings and afternoons during the week, and boarding for weekdays and weekends. I have a flexible schedule so just reach out and ask! At my home I have access to a dog park along with several walking trails nearby. There is also a nearby park and a lot of free and fenced in space for your pets!
About: I have experience crate and potty training puppies, litter box training, and can assist with basic obedience training. I am comfortable administering medication as directed, and can ensure adherence to veterinary recommendations (ie. wearing a cone, frequent walks/potty breaks, etc). I work limited part time (10 hrs/wk) and already have a solid routine with my own pets, so caring for yours would be easy to manage! I live in a two story home with a finished basement. Some areas in the home are gated off for safety. Our property is fully fenced in. Our home has young children, as well as our own friendly pets: a 5yo female Golden Retriever and two adult male cats. All our animals are fixed/spayed. We enjoy lots of playtime, walking, and running to help get the energy out.
