Personalized care for your dog or cat - Hessel

“Shelly was great with Cooper and Elise. They felt at home with her, as both were asleep less than an hour after I left. Her flexibility with our planned pickup was greatly appreciated as well! If up by the Big Mac (bridge) give her a call. Mark and Cindy”

“We really appreciate Shaw and the care and attention she gave Rogue on his overnight stay. She kept us updated with pictures and comments about his day/night. She provided a safe, comfortable, and loving environment and we are very pleased with the experience. We would highly recommend Shae to anyone needed a reliable sitter for their dog!”

“Julie is such a kindhearted person. You can tell she really dog sits because she enjoys animals. I appreciated the touching base from time to time to know how our Cavalier, Maggie who’s 13y/o was doing. I knew before we even dropped Maggie off that I trusted Julie. I highly recommend Julie.”

“We absolutely loved having Elizabeth watch Nala and Winston! From the very first meet and greet, she put us completely at ease. We appreciated the photo and video updates. Elizabeth has two sweet dogs that were very affectionate and were ready to play with Nala. When we got home, our dogs were happy, and tired, and clearly well-loved. We will definitely be booking with her again when in the area.”

“Even just through drop-ins, Sequoia has been an amazing sitter for my senior cat. Not only did she provide above-expectation care, she also took the time to ensure his safety during this disastrous winter storm. Will definitely be recommending her to others and scheduling again in the future!”

“It was so wonderful to find someone in St. Ignace to take care of our dogs for a day! Elizabeth loves dogs and has a very dog-friendly home.”

“Shae was great with both of our dogs for an afternoon/evening stay at her home. She had a handful of dogs in her care, and she had a calm demeanor and good control of all the dogs. I would recommend her to care for your dogs.”

About: I've grown up with dogs, cats, and various other animals in my family so I have lots of experience in caring for them. A family friend has told me I'm like a dog whisperer because most dogs are comfortable with me. I'm most comfortable with no more than 4 dogs at a time, whether they're small like a Dachshund or a Cardigan Welsh Corgi, medium-sized like a Brittany Spaniel or a Labrador, or large like a Newfoundland or Great Dane. I also am able to train dogs in simple commands such as stay, sit, lay down, and shake. And I'm willing to help potty train puppies and bathe dogs if needed. I do have experience with elderly dogs or sick dogs with many health conditions and medications. Either myself or my spouse is nearly always at home. I work a flexible job where I can stop at home during the day if needed. I currently have my own dog and cat. I am working on getting a fence but currently just a tie-out lead and a large dog house is what I have with lots of land to run.
