“Amanda was amazing. This was my first Rover experience and the first time being away from my puppy for more than 15 minutes (vet appointments). She totally put my mind at ease with her love of animals and the multiple pictures and a video. Oakley had a great time playing with Amanda’s daughter and two dogs. She came home happy and tired from all her activity- which was appreciated, because Oakley is a high energy puppy. Amanda was also really understanding when Oakley had an accident (still a puppy) and it helped a great deal that Amanda’s dogs also use the potty bells (something Oakley uses at home to let me know when it’s tile to go out). With Amanda’s help Oakley started using the potty bells there too (and knowing Oakley’s love of the outside and how much she loved the fenced in yard...she probably ran poor Amanda ragged ringing the bells! ?) I would definitely recommend Amanda and hope to have the opportunity to book her again!”

Right now I have a ten year old cat who is in remission from diabetes so I’m trained in injections and medications. My dogs back in Texas are pit bulls so I’m used to large lovable doggies :) I work from home so pets don’t go unattended and always have someone to hangout with. I am free most weekends and my significant other is also home to help out with high energy pups. :) I have walking trails around my apartment and wooded areas out back. My partner and I love to go on walks when weather permitting and would love to take your furry friend with us.

About: I've taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. Taking the dogs on walks, feeding, making sure they had clean water and playing with them to burn out some energy. I currently have a basset beagle mix at home that I love. He loves taking walks near rivers even though he hates baths. I also have experience with cats, I actually have 3 cats currently 4 if you include the one we are currently holding for a friend to take in. Near my area, we have many stray cats that roam around whether abandoned or just born feral my roommate and I try and minimize that by taking in cats to rehome or at least get them fixed. So I have experience with extremely skittish cats as well. During the week my schedule is completely open, the only schedule conflicts I could have is during the weekends on Saturdays or Sundays. If something is mentioned ahead I could try and make it work. Due to having cats and my own dog, I would feel more comfortable with the caring to take place at the client's house. As long as I am aware of any environmental rules for your animals I'm sure I can assist you.

About: I’ve taken care of big & small dogs and even cats of many kinds & sizes too. Whatever is needed, I make sure it gets done properly and that the animals are happy. This is something for me to do in my free time, I work part time and am going to school. I can be flexible with notice. About: I have been around animals most of my life and currently care for several dogs of my own on our 20-acre farm just outside Hastings, Michigan. Dogs staying with me are treated like part of the family and live in a home environment rather than a kennel setting. Safety is very important, so I carefully monitor interactions between dogs and separate them if needed. Dogs may be crated briefly during feeding or rest times to prevent food aggression and allow quiet breaks. I limit daycare to a small group to keep the environment safe and manageable.

I have been working in the veterinary field for 7 years. I am very comfortable with giving any medications your fur baby needs and can properly care for older pets. About: I’ve been helping my parents raise dogs since I was around 10 years old, our first dog being a collie we rescued as she wasn’t being treated well with her initial owners. We took her in and got her cleaned up, took care of the fleas she had, found her a good diet, and gave her lots of love and attention through it all. We took her on camping trips, out on the water to go fishing, out on walks and to get pup cups at the ice cream shop, her favorite place being my granny’s house. Alongside her, we raised three more dogs when they were puppies, each one two years apart. 2 of them are Australian shepherds, and one is a husky, all girls and grew to form their own little pack, respecting each other’s place and playing happily in a big fenced in back yard. We supported our collie till her last breath as she was elderly, and even as she was so old, she always had her usual, laid back and quirky personality. Even now, I continue to help my parents take care of our dogs, as they’re not just pets, they’re our family, our fur babies, even in they’re old stages of life, they’ll always be our little babies in our hearts. So rest assured, your fur baby will be 110% safe and cared for with me, maybe even a bit spoiled! I’m currently looking into part time or less demanding full time jobs, and I’ll be actively looking until I land one, until then, I should be mostly free, and I’ll definitely keep my schedule updated as life moves forward and changes. As of now, I have appointments on Wednesday, I try to keep them consistent each week, but they’re subject to change due to scheduling. With specific instructions written on paper, I have no issues accommodating to your pet’s needs in your home! I’m respectful during visits in others homes, treating them as my own and keeping spaces clean and tidy. With proper cleaning tools, I can clean up accidents on hard surfaces or rugs, I may need a demonstration on how to use a specific cleaning machine or vacuum depending on how complicated it is. I’m not allergic to any animal, or any breed, so pet hair doesn’t bother me! If need be, I am able to administer oral medications with proper instruction and demonstration. On walks I make sure to keep dogs close to me and away from the road, I carry doggy bags, and on hot days, I’ll carry a little folded up bowl that I can poor water in, so your baby stays hydrated!

I am able to provide full time pet care Thursday-Sunday. Whether that is staying in your home full time or doing drop ins as needed. I am capable in doing anything you ask of me. Whether that is administering medications, feeding three times a day, taking your dog for walks or just giving them the time and attention they deserve.
About: I’ve been living with dogs since I can remember. I watch my friends and families dogs often. I worked at Chow Hound pet supplies and learned a lot about what special needs certain dogs require. I am working part time along with attending college. I am completely free on the weekends and most days during the week. I have a lot of free time overall. I have two dogs at my home. One is currently being crate trained, so I am familiar with training puppies. I watch dogs that require medication, so I can trusted with dogs that require special attention.
About: I have always had animals every since I was young, from cats and dogs, to fish and hamsters. As soon as I moved out I got two cats, later on I met my now husband who had two dogs, growing our family. Animals bring me joy and comfort, I have pet sitted family friends pets, neighbors chickens, and I have also worked in pet retail where I grew my knowledge in animal care. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine since I’ve always had animals of my own. I’m currently unemployed, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the attention, playtime, care, and companionship they deserve while their owners are away. When caring for pets, I believe everything starts with communication and understanding each pet’s normal routine, preferences, and personality. I make sure pets feel comfortable and cared for by keeping feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions consistent with what they’re used to at home. I also believe in keeping owners updated with messages and photos when needed, so they can feel reassured and connected while they’re away. My goal is to provide loving, reliable care while respecting both the pet and the client’s home.
About: Hello my name is Justin L, I am 39 years, single, no kids and work full time. I lost my dog about 5 years ago and it was very hard to deal with. I am not ready to commit to another one yet, so I figured I might as well get my dog fix by helping others out on their vacation or their busy schedules. I always grew up with dogs and have had them all from small to large. Dogs are a mans best friend is the most true statement and I will always provide the best care for those dogs. Life would be so boring without dogs in it. I hope at some point in the future to get my own dog. I am available after I am off work. Depending where I’m working and where you are located I can possibly swing by during lunch time as well. I like to listen to what the owners say as far as what their preference for how they want their pet to behave. Any parameters with the house they typically write them up and I keep them updated throughout the day with photos of the pets.

About: We’ve always had dogs in our family! I’ve also watched and walked many pets of my friends and family’s! I love all types of dogs! I am currently a part time server who goes to school 2 times a week. I am available any times in the morning and night, just not as much during the afternoon. I am a very responsible and respectful person, I always make sure I leave the house looking better then when I got there ! !

“Amanda was amazing. This was my first Rover experience and the first time being away from my puppy for more than 15 minutes (vet appointments). She totally put my mind at ease with her love of animals and the multiple pictures and a video. Oakley had a great time playing with Amanda’s daughter and two dogs. She came home happy and tired from all her activity- which was appreciated, because Oakley is a high energy puppy. Amanda was also really understanding when Oakley had an accident (still a puppy) and it helped a great deal that Amanda’s dogs also use the potty bells (something Oakley uses at home to let me know when it’s tile to go out). With Amanda’s help Oakley started using the potty bells there too (and knowing Oakley’s love of the outside and how much she loved the fenced in yard...she probably ran poor Amanda ragged ringing the bells! ?) I would definitely recommend Amanda and hope to have the opportunity to book her again!”

Our family has provided trusted pet & farm sitting service in the Kent, Barry & Ionia County areas for 6+ years. We've always had animals around whether it be dogs, cats, chickens, or sheep! We are a homeschooling family and we also work from home. Someone is almost always here! We're available to board dogs anytime we're not on vacation ourselves! We promise to treat your pet like family here at Snowy River Farm! Your pet will have the lower walkout level of the home to themselves. Brad works from home on that same level and we are all around very often. Our own small dogs will stay on a separate floor and not co-mingle your pet (unless specifically agreed by both parties).
