About: I have been around pets my whole life. I had a beagle that was 2 when I was born so I grew up helping care for her. I have cared for turtles, fish, and a chameleon. Currently, I have a cat that I have raised from birth. I have helped my aunt with her two golden retrievers when she needed someone to take them out during the day and feed them while she was at work or away on vacation. For the past two summers, I have cared for my uncle's 12 year-old chocolate lab when their family is on vacation. She is a senior dog that needs a little more care and consideration. They did an amazing job keeping us updated on how Orla was adjusting, sending photos and videos that really reassured us she was happy and settling in well. It was clear that they genuinely care about the dogs they host and treat them like part of the family. One thing that especially touched us was how gentle and sweet Orla was with their 18-month-old son.
