“Shadow has stayed with Brooke several times over the Summer. The most recent was this past weekend when I had an unexpected death in my family. Brooke and her husband, Ben, have told us that they enjoy having him, and they were very kind to take him without much notice this time. When I dropped Shadow off, Ben came out on the porch and Shadow ran right to him with his tail wagging! This was a great testimony from Shadow because he sometimes wants nothing to do with other men. When Brooke sends pictures of Shadow stretched out, relaxed and happy on their living room floor, I know that he is feeling extremely comfortable and happy. This always means so much, particularly this weekend when I was dealing with a very stressful family situation. I know that Shadow is always getting the best care and a lot of love from Brooke, Ben and Tobi and Buddy. He is actually going back again in a couple of days for a 5-day stay that has been planned for a while. Once again I will be able to feel relaxed and not worry about him while I'm gone. About: I have been pet sitting since I was 15 for family and friends. I have watched all types of dogs, large, small, young, and old as well as some cats. I am an active person that enjoys exercise but I also love nature so I can go at whatever speed your dog prefers. I am a graduate student at MSU so I keep a busy schedule, but I will always find time for your pets and treat them as my own! Although I am not certified I have trained my own dogs and can adjust to whatever level of obedience you are looking to attain. I also volunteer at an animal sanctuary so I have experience with all kinds of animals besides just cats and dogs. About: I have a very dog and cat friendly place to call home. Most days I am outside working around the property and the dogs are out with us. I’ve raised our dogs from 8 weeks old and the Labs are obedience trained and have taken their Canine Good Citizen class to hopefully be Therapy dogs soon. Our Pug is the youngest and raised by the Labs and of course, me. In the evenings it’s relax in the chair time. The dogs love to snuggle up and just nap after playing outside. I make my own work schedule and am able to fit work around pets. Usually only leaving the dogs for an errand run here and there. I go outside with all dogs and walk them on the property. I feed 2 times a day plus a snack or whatever is necessary for any visiting pet along with fresh water at all times. All pets have free range of the house day and night unless otherwise requested. I have an outdoor kennel for nice days if they need to be outside for a little while.

About: I was a long time dog owner before my best friend Murphy passed away. Have owned cats even longer. Not ready for a new dog yet myself but would love to help out you and your fur babies! I work M-F 9-6 but with lunch hours I can drop in at a reasonable time during the day typically. Also have a side gig on the weekends but happy to work with you on a schedule we can all agree to! I have 4 rescues as well as a service pup, including a disabled rescue from an Afghanistan war zone so I’m more than willing to work with animals with special needs. I have a lot of experience from my own animals and have dog sitting experience as well. I am currently a student and due to the pandemic mostly work online so my availability is pretty open. As I have dogs of my own I would not be able to stay the night with your animal but will have at least 6-7 Hours a day to spend completely with your pup. I would prefer watching the animal at your home as there are 5 other animals here but if needed I am equipped with two area fences in my back yard as well as leads and ability to separate the other dogs in my house without worry.

I’m living alone in Ann Arbor and I would love to take care of any pets! I work a couple hours during the day, but most of it is remote so I’ll be home a lot! “Shadow has stayed with Brooke several times over the Summer. The most recent was this past weekend when I had an unexpected death in my family. Brooke and her husband, Ben, have told us that they enjoy having him, and they were very kind to take him without much notice this time. When I dropped Shadow off, Ben came out on the porch and Shadow ran right to him with his tail wagging! This was a great testimony from Shadow because he sometimes wants nothing to do with other men. When Brooke sends pictures of Shadow stretched out, relaxed and happy on their living room floor, I know that he is feeling extremely comfortable and happy. This always means so much, particularly this weekend when I was dealing with a very stressful family situation. I know that Shadow is always getting the best care and a lot of love from Brooke, Ben and Tobi and Buddy. He is actually going back again in a couple of days for a 5-day stay that has been planned for a while. Once again I will be able to feel relaxed and not worry about him while I'm gone. About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I've owned and cared for a variety of pets over the years and have experience with animals of different ages, personalities, and care needs. One of the most rewarding parts of my pet-care journey has been fostering. I'm currently a pet care specialist and foster with Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) and have also fostered for other shelters in the past. Through fostering, I've cared for pets who were shy, energetic, recovering from medical procedures, learning social skills, or simply looking for a safe place to land before finding their forever homes. I also have two dogs who don't currently live with me, but I absolutely love spending time with them whenever I can. Whether it's long walks, outdoor adventures, or hiking local trails, I'm happiest when I have a furry companion by my side. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. I work shorter shifts at Capital Area Humane Society, so my schedule allows me the flexibility to provide reliable and attentive care for pets throughout the week. I make it a priority to plan my day around the pets I'm caring for so they receive the attention, exercise, potty breaks, meals, and companionship they need. Whether your pet thrives on a structured routine or is more laid-back, I'm happy to work with their individual schedule and needs. Communication is important to me, so you can also expect regular updates, photos, and check-ins while you're away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My approach is centered on safety, patience, and positive interactions. As a foster caregiver, I've worked with animals from many different backgrounds, which has taught me how to read body language, respect boundaries, and help pets feel comfortable in new situations. I carefully follow all owner instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, routines, and household rules. I believe every pet deserves individualized care and attention. My goal is to provide a safe, stress-free experience where both pets and owners feel confident and comfortable. You can count on me to treat your pets with the same love and care I would give my own.
