“Elizabeth was absolutely amazing with our dog! From the moment we dropped him off, we knew he was in great hands. He had such a wonderful stay, made so many new friends, and came home happy and well cared for. Elizabeth kept us updated with pictures and videos throughout his stay, which gave us so much peace of mind and comfort while we were away. We couldn’t recommend Elizabeth more and will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

We would rebook! Thanks for taking such good care of our much loved dog!”

“Hanna and her family made Charlie feel right at home! They accepted his stinky shoe fetish and his desire for hands constantly petting with absolute open arms (his favorite). Her home is so welcoming and my Maple had a wonderful time going for nature walks and sunbathing in the yard. If you’re looking for a home away from home for your pup in the Portage area, I highly recommend contacting Kathy.”

“Trina is the best! I am a new dog mom with a small rambunctious puppy so I was very nervous to leave her with anyone. I had a friend bail on me last second to watch her so I was absolutely in a pinch and Trina was quick to respond and open to a visit before hand. She made the whole process very relieving and sent update pictures through the night. My night ran later than expected and Trina told me not to worry and to enjoy my night, so sweet! I would recommend her to everyone!”

I enjoy finding toys and food they'll love and grooming them. My furbabies require a lot of love and attention, I adore them all and would love to spread some TLC out to the cats, dogs, and any critters in my community. I love caring for all animals! I am constantly caring for my own fur babies morning and night, but I would love to help you out on the weekends as my availability allows! When I am at a clients home, I really like to respect their wishes and care for their animals as they would. I try to go over as many details as possible as far as where they can go on the property and if they prefer the pup to be on a leash or not.

I got out of my car and looked around for a few minutes but didn't see anything and I got ready to leave I hear faint cry and I turned and looked down into some tall weeds and there she was , this poor malnourished kitten crying for help . To make a long story short I got her home and the day my wife and I took her to vet . They kept her for 3 days running ivs into her . We able to come and after 3 days thinking she wasn't going make it. And here she is still with after such a traumatic start to her life . I am very grateful to have Mabel as my best friend and wouldn't trade for the world . I love you very much Mabel .

I currently work from home part time and would love to spend some extra time with new furry friends. My part time schedule is a set schedule. I’m very open about my availability and if something were to come up I make sure to inform my clients. When in your home with your pets, I am very respectful of your space and your pets. Both cats seemed to respond well to him and seemed able to administer their meds with no problems. We will be sure to book William again, if he's available, but have no need yet.”

About: I have experience caring for cats of different ages, personalities, and needs. I currently have cats of my own, so daily cat care is already a big part of my routine. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, litter box maintenance, playtime, administering routine care, and making sure cats receive plenty of attention and affection. I understand every cat is different — some are very social while others need extra patience and space — and I work to make them feel safe, comfortable, and at home while in my care.

About: Intuitive dog/cat mom, I will find a way to any canine heart. I grew up with dogs in our house and was taught to treat them no less than family members, having said that, I need to confess I am the worst person when it comes to disciplining a dog, but if you have some simple rules for your canine companion, I will follow them. My own puppy is seven years old and he is a spoiled little one, but is a gentle and sweet young fellow, his sister is a quiet long haired kitty. I love them both so much. I am an artist and a student at IUSB, but I have plenty of time between classes for long walks and other quality care your pets deserve. I live in a quiet neighborhood, overlooking a small pond, there is a fenced dog yard right outside my apartment building as well as many acres of green lawns to frolic upon.

It’s such a great feeling as a pet owner to know when I drop Poppy off she’s more excited to be there than she is to be at home!”

About: I have rescued all of my dogs and fostered many for over 15 years. I help families find their next family member and have re-homed all my fosters. My fosters vary from carrying for pregnant dogs, to puppies, to seniors. I have done it all. I am currently able to work from home most of the time so I am available all week. If I do have appointments I have kennels for all the dogs to ensure their safety. I will accommodate whatever their routine is to keep them comfortable. I have 3 dogs to keep others busy. I have a fenced yard and also live on a lake if they like to swim or boat.
About: We had a small dog when our children were out of high school and our world revolved around him. We miss him a lot since he crossed the rainbow bridge but I am lucky to be a grandma to 5 dogs—a Saint Bernard, a chihuahua mix, 2 terrier mixes and a German Shepherd mix. All rescue dogs with some quirky personality traits that make them a challenge and fun. I have also cared for my sister’s senior Maltese and a neighbor’s senior Boxer. Dogs are my favorite animal and I just love spending time with them! I recently retired from being a paraprofessional at a local school so I have a pretty flexible schedule. My husband works on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays so those days I am much more available but he is flexible if I’m working or have something scheduled. We live out in the country and have a fenced in yard so dogs can play and have some fun time running free. Our neighborhood is safe to walk dogs (we used to walk our little guy around the block daily—1 1/4 miles) and there are also 2 parks close by that we could walk if they seem bored with the block.

“Ellie did a fantastic job watching my pup and was a pleasure to work with! She made sure Ophie’s needs were met and provided a great environment for her to get her energy out. I got plenty of updates during her stay, and she came home relaxed and happy. I highly recommend Ellie’s services!!”

Summers are even more open, allowing me to offer consistent, reliable care with a flexible schedule. Because I’m home-based, I’m able to prioritize punctuality, routine, and communication. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my priority is keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow feeding schedules carefully, provide exercise or playtime based on their needs, clean litter boxes or pick up waste promptly, and reinforce any household rules or training already in place. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. With over 15 years of experience training puppies for Canine Companions for Independence and a lifetime of owning both dogs and cats, I’m highly observant of behavior and body language, ensuring your pet feels safe, secure, and well cared for at all times.

About: Hi there! My name is Ashley, and I’m a lifelong animal lover based in the Kalamazoo area. I work full-time in hospitality sales, but caring for animals has always been one of my favorite things to do. I’ve been dog and cat sitting on and off for about 15 years and love getting the chance to spend time with furry friends of all kinds! I’ve had dogs my entire life and currently have a rescue Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix named Leo, who has taught me so much about patience, behavior, and individualized care. I also have experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, personalities, and energy levels, from easygoing seniors to high-energy terriers and anxious or shy pets. I’ve also cared for cats, guinea pigs, and other small pets over the years. I typically prefer caring for pets in their own home because I believe familiar surroundings help them feel more comfortable and less stressed while you’re away. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for the entire time you’re gone. I’m also a big believer in communication, so you can always expect regular updates and photos throughout the stay! I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pet. Feel free to reach out with any questions! I work at a job in Kalamazoo from 9-5, Monday-Friday and we have a hybrid work schedule. I need to be in the office 1 full day and another half day for the most part. Depending on my week and schedule I can work where I need to and can adjust based on what you need. Some weeks are busier than others, and typically if I know I can't be available or will be busy for 8 hours or more, I will make myself unavailable. Currently I live in a rental house with a small yard that is not fenced in. I am able to let my dog out in the yard and we also take daily walks. I have a smaller house and prefer to watch dogs in your home if possible. I find that they are much more comfortable in their own home and I can do my best to follow their routine just like you would if you were home.

You can trust me to provide dependable, loving care—so you can travel with peace of mind, knowing your pet is in safe hands.

I’m more than happy to provide any services for you and your lovable furry friend in your home! 🤩

“Jeff was great! He met me downtown to pick up my dog, and gave him a good long walk. He had carefully read all the notes I had left about my dog ahead of time, which I really appreciated.”

“So happy to have our Ollie in a warm, inviting place. We went on vacation with peace of mind that our puppy was very well taken care. Clara sent us pictures and let us know how our guy was doing. Highly recommend !!!!!”

“Luke was extremely kind and has a nice fenced in backyard that Henry was able to play in all day. He was also very communicative and went the extra mile to make sure Henry had fun. I would highly recommend!”

“Debra did an awesome job with our dog who wasn’t feeling the best. She treated him well and was able to manage his quirks. I would not hesitate to use her as a dog sitter. She will treat your dogs like gold. Use Debra for your sitting needs.”

“We are very pleased to find Julie for our boarding needs. She received plenty of exercise during her stay being able to play with other pets. Already scheduled for next trip😊”

“Our pup Maisy had a great time with Madison! Maisy is a shy girl and Madison was very patient and helpful in getting her acclimated and introduced to the other dogs. She had a great stay and came home happy!”

It was clear how much she genuinely cared for him and treated him like one of her own. We never had to worry for a second knowing he was with her. We couldn’t recommend Elizabeth more and will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Katy took good care of our dog, Shadow. She sent us pictures and gave us daily updates. She has a nice fenced in backyard and two sweet dogs to play with. We would definitely leave Shadow with her again!”

“Kari and her family did an absolutely fantastic job, taking care of Sebastian. Not only were her doggies and family great with him, I would rebook with them anytime I could! Definitely recommend them for anybody that needs a dog sitter! Thank you guys!!”

“Pamela was great! She quickly answered all my questions, and included daily photos while Buffy was in her care. Buffy had a great time playing in the backyard with her dog, another golden retriever, and it was clear that Buffy got lots of attention. Pamela sent homemade treats home with Buffy, which she loves. We would rebook! Thanks for taking such good care of our much loved dog!”

“Hanna and her family made Charlie feel right at home! They accepted his stinky shoe fetish and his desire for hands constantly petting with absolute open arms (his favorite). Her two fur babies welcomed him and left him absolutely exhausted and maybe a little depressed that there’s no one to play with in his own backyard. We will definitely be rebooking again! Thank you!”

“Beth provides a welcoming home and we know our dog was well cared for on our trip. She was great with communication and flexible with drop off and pick up. We would not hesitate to book Beth again. Highly recommend!”

“My two dogs stayed with Jenai and Sean and had the best time! I got regular updates from them about how things were going, and they were happy and loved during their stay! They came home exhausted from all of the fun! Definitely recommended!!”
