“Bracer had a great time with Blair and her dogs. She was very flexible and accommodating with drop off and pickup times. She sent several photos and updates about how he was doing., and took him for a walk and let him romp with the other dogs. Definitely will try to leave him with her again next time I need sitting in this area!”

“It was wonderful to have peace of mind that my boys were being well cared for while I was away! Lots of updates and photos of my boys playing and having the time of their lives! Lots of room and space for them to play around and make new friends :) I can’t thank Lindsey and your boyfriend enough!!! 10/10 would highly recommend!”

“We left our 15 lb Yorkie in the care of Elizabeth for three nights and were very pleased with the care she provided. He has special dietary requirements as he has colitis and Elizabeth fed him exactly as needed and he came home healthy and happy as could be. She sent us pictures of him every day out walking and in the house and he looked like he was having a ball. Either way I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her or use her again to look out for our dog while we are out of town.”

“Phoebe had a wonderful time staying with Pat. She played and played and played. Pat has a really good arrangement where the dogs can hang out freely downstairs and have access to a fully enclosed yard with a tall and secure fence. Recommended! Thanks Pat.”

“Wendy provided a loving home for our pup, Freddy, during extended travel for our family. Wendy's dog Elka was an instant friend to Freddy and knowing that he was safe, busy and receiving wonderful care took away a lot of anxiety. We look forward to Freddy staying with Wendy again in the future.”

“Richard was amazing with our girls! All three were super excited to meet him, and they loved their adventure with him last weekend- he even took them to see the LL Bean boot! Highly recommend :)”
“Rebecca was the perfect match for our Lucy, who had an excellent stay. She communicated clearly with us and updated us with messages and pictures. She followed all of our instructions. We will absolutely use her again.”

“Jessica was incredible! She sent us daily photos and videos, as well as as updates on Jackson while we were away. Our dog got along great with her dog and I can tell he misses her already. Jessica even went out of her way to come pick up Jackson when we didn’t have access to a car. I highly recommend Jessica and Marcy 💕”

“She is amazing! What more can I say? My dogs both love her, and one of them is reactive and can be quite difficult. But they both love her and that puts me at ease knowing they are happy and well cared for.”

“Jessica and her husband are fantastic. We have a puppy and they took her in immediately like she was their own. They were accommodating in our situation, as we were staying somewhere close to them that wouldn't allow our pup to stay at the house. We were able to still see her during the day to play. Their Dog Ivy is a sweetheart with alot of energy. You can tell their Dog is well loved. She sent updates and responded quickly when I inquired. We will definitely stay with them again.”

“Melanie provided a safe, nurturing environment for our Lucy. She was warm and welcoming when we met, and clearly gave Lucy lots of love while she was in her care. She has a large yard for dogs to play. She sent me pictures every day, both of Lucy playing with the other dogs, as well as relaxing. I felt completely confident that Lucy was in the best of hands!”

About: I have a passion for dogs. I have cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and health needs including medication, special diets, and have experience caring for injuries and elderly dogs. My partner and I both work full time with rotating schedules. Most days someone is home. On the few days where we are both working, the dogs are free to go in and out of the dog room to the fenced in area outside. I have a 2 year old lab/golden retriever who loves all other dogs, loves to play, and really enjoys having other dogs around. We have a dog room downstairs with an open door to a covered patio and fenced in grass area for the dogs to play, cool off, and use the bathroom at their own needs.
About: I'm a work at home pet mom with a large yard, lots of toys, and a calm and welcoming house. I've always had large dogs from mixed breeds to Great Danes, but love and appreciate all types of well mannered dogs. My house sits well off the road, so its quiet and I hike or trail walk almost daily. I am adept at giving medicine, cleaning wounds and dealing with incontinent dogs, but I will only board dogs who are respectful of my cats. I am currently working from home on my own schedule. Boarded dogs who enjoy car rides can come with me on errands or outings. While each day may different, my activities will be built around the needs of the animals I am caretaking, especially if separation anxiety is an issue. I will care for your animals as per your instructions and the capabilities of your pet. I do not have a fenced in yard, but have installed a run line in the past. If a dog is used to being crated, receiving treats, or sleeping on the couch - no problem. Conversely, I don't give animals people food, and if you want your pets to stay off furniture I will strictly honor that as well. My house is small but open, so it is easy to keep an eye on them.
About: I’ve always grown up with a dog in my home. I have experience handling a variety breeds of all sizes, from a small 20lb Cairn Terrier to a 185lb Boerboel! I also have experience administering medication which included oral consumption as well as shots. I have been very reliable to my close family members and friends to take care of their dogs and cats when they are working or away on vacation! Aside from Rover’s guarantee , I am also separately insured to give you an extra ease of mind when choosing me for your sitting needs! Pricing: Please understand pricing is non-negotiable. Prices shown on Rover are accurate and up to date (as of March 2026). Initial pricing shown during search is a base rate - additional rates may apply depending on times/ animals that are needing care. An accurate quote will be provided after submitting a request. I do not offer discounts at this time, thank you for understanding! *Schedule update as of June 2026* House Sitting Requests: Please keep in mind that I am catering to repeat clients I have throughout the week day, as well as a part-time in person job! Depending on my schedule, I may not be at your home 24/7, however, I guarantee your pets won’t be alone longer than 6 hours at a time, unless stated otherwise. Please clearly state your pets needs, including the time and duration they can be alone - in the event other arrangements need to be made for mid day potty breaks. My coming and going schedule can likely be provided upon request. For clients who allow my partner to join me on my sittings (who is insured under my private sittings insurance), there is the ability to offer more frequent potty breaks as him and I typically work opposite schedules. No other guests/ friends/ family will ever join me during a dog sitting. Constant Care: Constant care is applied to any sitting that doesn’t allow me to leave for more than 4 hours of the day, per day. Constant care rates start at $200/ night (additional rates still apply) and increase based off of pet’s needs. Please understand this service may not always be available and interferes with ongoing mid day clients, as well as my availability for my other job. Price reflects alternative arrangements I need to make for existing clients. If you have any questions regarding this, please reach out! I currently only allow one family for boarding at a time. Prices reflect solo care and not having to worry about exposure to other dogs during their stay. I currently have one cat in the home - a 12 year old Maine Coon mix who is very relaxed and tends to mind her own business. Between my boyfriend and I, there is always someone on property, so potty breaks can be provided frequently!

“Katie was excellent! Professional, thoughtful, patient, and communicative. We boarded our cat with her, and she did a wonderful job acclimating him to a new space and monitoring his adjustment, and making sure his needs were met. Would love to use her for our next trip.”

“Jacki fully understands puppies and has a special magic with them. She is kind and compassionate and and our Goldendoodle she had great fun playing with her and her two Goldens. Perfectly safe yard with a big field for running. And, extra bonus, she sent us pix of our puppy while we were away. Five stars for sure!”

“Brooke was terrific! She sent us plenty of photos, kept us up-to-date on our diabetic cat and was very comfortable calling or texting with questions (since we hadn't provided all of the answers). She was on time and extremely caring. We'll definitely be hiring her again.”

“Selena was so great to work with! She came over before the actual day I needed her, to go over the "routine" etc. While she was with Bud she was super communicative and checked in with photos and texts. Bud was well taken care for :). She wa also flexible about timing. Would definitely work with Selena again!!”

“Great communication and quick to respond. Our kitties were in good hands. We really appreciate that Richard offered to take on a handyman-type task while we were away. I'd definitely recommend him and would use his services again.”

“Melissa sat our four cats while we were out of town for the weekend and she did an excellent job. She was communicative and she was attentive to our pets. We’ve always had some minor issues with them at meal time; Melissa is the one who figured out a viable solution. We so appreciate her effort and care. We’ll definitely be calling on Melissa again and have no hesitation in recommending her for your pet sitting needs.”

“Liseli stayed in our house several nights to cat sit our babies while we were traveling. She has provided an exceptional , smart and very qualified service beyond what we could have expected, always attentive to the cat moods and comfort, keeping us perfectly informed about the kitties and also sending many pictures. Our Maine Coon can be difficult, and she managed to win her over. We warmly recommend Liseli for pet sitting, and will definitely use her services again the next times we travel!”

About: I have had dogs and cats most of my adult life. I truly love the bond between a pet and caregiver. I’m a true believer that pets are family and should be treated as such. I’m physically active and enjoy the outdoors. Experienced in basic care and needs of dogs and cats I work part time, and I am very flexible with my schedule. I would be open to overnights possibly depending on the length of time. I be would prefer to care for your pet in your home. I have a cat and it’s better for me to come to your home.
“Robin is so great! I’m thankful to have found her and Stella (her pup)! My 3-month old puppy was able to be cared for while I was away. Robin was super communicative and easy going.”

About: I grew up with a yellow lab named Mo. I was an only child and he was quite truly my best friend. He passed away when I was sixteen. This past summer, my family and I got a new puppy from Midcoast Humane, his name is Sol. I don't know how I went eight years without such a buddy! Caring for a dog has been such an important part of my life, and has offered me so much fulfillment and joy. I would love the opportunity to care for your pets, and understand how important they are to your life and how important their happiness is! I currently have a flexible remote job. Although I do need to commit at least six hours Monday through Friday to my job, I have much space in between to care for, walk, play with, and adventure with your furry friend!! My weekends are completely available. Most preferabley, I would like to care for your dog in your own home. The house I live in currently does not have a fenced in area, however I would be open to talking through ways to make it work! I love to go on long walks, and would be happy to meet any of your dogs exercise needs or simply needs for muddy adventures.
About: I'm an experienced doggy foster, boarding more than 10 new-to-Maine rescues last year before adopting a sweet little pup of my own. As a new dog parent, I know how difficult it can be to find reliable, affordable, overnight care - plus a place my pup will actually enjoy! I routinely pet-sit for friends, and joined Rover to continue expanding my dog's social circle (she *loves* other dogs) while earning supplementary income. My pup, Marcy, is a 1-year old blackmouth cur. She's a regular at the dog park and very well socialized across a range of doggy personalities. I have a safe, calm house with a fenced-in yard. I also work remotely, meaning your dog would have lots of attention and a watchful eye. Although I'm primarily listing my offering as dog boarding at my home, Marcy and I are flexibile so long as there is reliable internet. So please reach out if you prefer boarding at your home instead. Note that Marcy is gentle not prey driven, though she's only been introduced to one cat. If you have kitties, let's do a meet-n-greet to ensure it's a good fit. Reach out with any questions! I work at home, with flexibility around meetings for walks, dog park trips, and potty/training breaks. I’m available to pet sit any day of the week. At my home: I have a 4 ft fenced-in yard for play time, which turns into an at-home dog park when Marcy has a visitor. Note that the fence isn't foolproof for an escape artist or high jumper. Dogs are allowed throughout the house and on couches, if they choose. Sleeping arrangements are flexible, especially knowing visiting pups can sometimes feel more comfortable sleeping in bed with a human. Marcy is crate-trained, and I have a large crate in case your pup needs a designated safe space.
“I reached out to Lindsay about 2 months ago hoping to try my two dogs in her care and requested they had time outside, exposure to children and animals, and that they were kept safe. Lindsay has always gone above and beyond, my dogs are excited to get in the car and go to daycare and I’m always provided photos at the end of the day. My puppy has gotten to make other puppy friends and is able to play with her children. Lindsay is always on top of medications and is very flexible to my complex work schedule. She is by far more than I could’ve ever asked for.”

“Melanie, her doggies, and her family are the best! Loretta can be a little shy at first - but quickly became a part of the crew and had had fun everyday playing with her new friends. Melanie and her whole family made Loretta feel right at home. We felt good leaving her knowing that she would be spending all day running around outside and playing with buddies, or finding a cozy spot to sleep in the sun on their beautiful deck. We highly recommend Melanie and will totally reach out again the next time we find ourselves in the area.”

“I highly recommend Jessica to care for your dog. My dog Holly has broken out of her crate and is dealing with some anxiety lately and Jessica went out of her way to help comfort her and put my mind at ease. She asked detailed questions about how to care for Holly and sent pictures of Holly having fun and relaxing with Jessica and her family. She cared for Holly for several days and after the first day I knew Holly had found a perfect sitter. I will definitely be booking again with Jessica in the future!”

I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pet. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your pet care needs or to schedule a meet and greet! “I found Tyler to be a very responsible dog owner who truly enjoys caring for dogs of all sizes. He is very compassionate, patient and understanding when it comes to ensuring your dog has a safe and fun filled day. Tyler and his dog Clarence treated my Great Dane puppy just like family. My puppy absolutely adores both of them tremendously!! I would highly recommend Tyler for your dog sitting needs. He goes above and beyond!”

“Amanda took care of our dog every week for almost a year and was absolutely amazing. He was not the easiest puppy to deal with, but she managed him incredibly well. It was clear he loved his time with her and would always be so excited to see her every time we dropped him off. Can't recommend her enough!”

About: I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember, and I'd love the chance to care for your pets like they're my own. I'm a Maine native who recently moved back home after spending the last four years traveling and working as a professional dancer on a cruise ship. Now that I'm settled in Southern Maine, I'm excited to spend more time with animals! I'm an active, reliable, and patient person, so whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, or just having someone to keep them company, I'm happy to match their energy. I also understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I'll always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member. I'll send plenty of photo updates, communicate throughout each visit, and make sure your pet gets the attention and care they deserve while you're away. Whether you need drop-in visits, walks, overnight care, or just someone to give your pet extra love, I'd be honored to help. I can't wait to meet you and your best friend! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize walks, drop-in visits, and giving pets the attention they need throughout the day. I currently teach dance part-time and work remote during the day, but my schedule leaves plenty of time for pet care, and I love having animals as part of my everyday life. I’m an active person who enjoys getting outside, so walks, playtime, and keeping pets engaged are things I genuinely look forward to. I’m also someone who values consistency and routine, and I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I care for every pet with the same attention, patience, and love I would want for my own. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent as possible—following feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any special instructions you provide. I know pets feel most comfortable in their own environment, so I make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel connected and confident that your pet is being well taken care of. My goal is to make your time away stress-free, knowing your furry friend is receiving plenty of love, attention, and companionship.

About: I have over 15 years of experience dog sitting. I am a huge animal lover, and would love to give your dog some extra attention while you are away. I grew up with dogs, and I have experience with dogs of varying shapes, sizes and personalities. I will be sure to send you photos and updates. I also have experience caring for cats and horses. Please let me know how I can help! I am available weekends and weekday mornings and evenings. I could be available during the work day on a case by case basis. I work full time in Boothbay (some days are remote). I am open to staying at your place or your dog coming to mine. I do have a dog so they would need to be dog friendly. Safety is my top priority. I always keep dogs on leash when outside, and I always ensure the inside space is safe and clean for your dog.
“Tyler was great with Angel. We were visiting the area and needed somewhere for Angel to stay for two days. He took her for long walks with his dog which she loved. He kept us informed. I would recommend him for your dog sitting needs”
