About: Since becoming fully remote for my full time job in 2020, I have taken on the roll of “trusted pet-sitter” for over 30 families and almost 50 furry friends. Back home in Maryland, I connected with these families just through word-of-mouth and referrals from happy families. Now that I live here in Maine, I would like to continue my expertise and passion for animals, and connect with some loveable furry friends. I am an attentive, detail-oriented pet-sitter, who also knows the importance of respecting another person’s living space and maintaining routines for pets. After years of taking care of every size, shape and age of dog, no request from the owner is too wacky. About: I have experience with animals from Great Danes to Fancy rats. I have training experience as well with things such as potty training, walking etiquette, and a few show tricks. I have college classes in the afternoons but my mornings and nights are wide open on weekdays. As for weekends its just dependent on the day so I'll need advanced notice. I have a small yard, and within a quarter mile from the nearest park. I can give potty breaks ever hour if need be, and I'm great at matching an animals energy level.
“We had a really great experience and Nicole took such great care of Mia. Scheduling was easy, the meet and greet went very well. We received pictures and updates of Mia several times for a one day stay. Nicole also took Mia for several walks. Mia is an indoor dog and she definitely received a good amount of outdoor exercise time and indoor down time. Nicole has a 2 year old son who also loves dogs and got along very well with Mia. Nicole and her husband are such nice couple; warm and genuine. We feel comfortable that Mia is in good hands. Mia was happy and very relaxed when we picked her up. I am currently stay at home with my four year old and own a cleaning company. I only clean a few hours a day Monday through Thursday so I’ll have plenty of time to play with a furry pal! I love to walk around our beautiful neighborhood several times a day to get plenty of steps in. We have a large yard in a safe neighborhood. The dog/dogs will be leashed and with me anytime we are outside. I have a large metal crate that the dog can stay in when it needs a rest!
About: I grew up on a large farm with show dogs! I have had dogs, cats and all farm animals my entire life and their happiness, care is always top of my priority! I work from home full time, so there will never be a period your fur baby will be left alone unless I need to run a quick errand. About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, unsafe things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. About: I raised my own herd of dairy goats starting when I was 11 years old. I have been working with dogs since I was 16, I worked at a doggy daycare for 3 years and I now work at a shelter. I have loved all sorts of animals from a very young age. I realized one of the biggest concerns for travelers was their dogs and the thought of having to use kennel services. About: Used to be a manager for a mobile veterinary wellness clinic, have owned animals almost my whole life and currently have a giant bundle of fur chocolate lab at home. Intact 3 year old male. As well as a 4 year old boy and 4 month old boy and 2 tween girls who all love animals. DISCLAIMER- your pets MUST be well behaved enough around small children that are still learning how to safely approach animals in order for me to agree to sit them. Everyone’s safety is my number 1 priority as I have a 9 month old baby as well as other small children in the home. As I’m a stay at home mom, I have plenty of time throughout my day to implement your pets needs into our schedule. I don’t mind last minute bookings, as long as we’re free and non booked up. While we don’t have a fenced in yard, we have no issue taking dogs for walks around the neighborhood and leashes in the yard when necessary.

About: In the past when I’ve done some house sitting I ended up bonding with the animals which they had to call me Uncle Bobby which required visits even when the owners were home! I work 3 on 3 off and occasionally some overtime! So I actually do have a lot of time of but different days! So weekends and weekdays I actually can have time off! About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats my whole life and have been pet sitting for family, friends and anyone in need for the last three years! I have experience with both puppies between the ages of six months and two years old and senior dogs up to the age of 13. About: Since becoming fully remote for my full time job in 2020, I have taken on the roll of “trusted pet-sitter” for over 30 families and almost 50 furry friends. Back home in Maryland, I connected with these families just through word-of-mouth and referrals from happy families. About: I have experience with animals from Great Danes to Fancy rats. I have training experience as well with things such as potty training, walking etiquette, and a few show tricks. I have college classes in the afternoons but my mornings and nights are wide open on weekdays. As for weekends its just dependent on the day so I'll need advanced notice. I have a small yard, and within a quarter mile from the nearest park. I can give potty breaks ever hour if need be, and I'm great at matching an animals energy level.
“We had a really great experience and Nicole took such great care of Mia. Scheduling was easy, the meet and greet went very well. We received pictures and updates of Mia several times for a one day stay. Nicole also took Mia for several walks. Mia is an indoor dog and she definitely received a good amount of outdoor exercise time and indoor down time. Nicole has a 2 year old son who also loves dogs and got along very well with Mia. Nicole and her husband are such nice couple; warm and genuine. We feel comfortable that Mia is in good hands. Mia was happy and very relaxed when we picked her up. Nicole was also really great about accommodating our schedule as we were running late on pick up. We did not have a good experience boarding Mia at a kennel and found Rover. This was the first time we tried out a dog sitter through Rover. I can't say enough about how wonderful Nicole was with Mia. About: You can be sure that your sweet pup will get the time, love, care, and exercise that they need while they are in my care! I am currently stay at home with my four year old and own a cleaning company. I only clean a few hours a day Monday through Thursday so I’ll have plenty of time to play with a furry pal! I love to walk around our beautiful neighborhood several times a day to get plenty of steps in. We have a large yard in a safe neighborhood. The dog/dogs will be leashed and with me anytime we are outside. I have a large metal crate that the dog can stay in when it needs a rest!
About: I grew up on a large farm with show dogs! I have had dogs, cats and all farm animals my entire life and their happiness, care is always top of my priority! I work from home full time, so there will never be a period your fur baby will be left alone unless I need to run a quick errand. I have two dogs ( a shih tzu (7) and a mini schnauzer (6 months), we have two well behaved cats and 6 chickens that are enclosed in an outside area. We use a bell system on the doors for our dogs to tell us when they need to go outside and positive reinforcement at all times.
About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. I am skilled at handling dogs and other animals of all ages, sizes, and temperments. I have worked with aggressive and reactive dogs and have experience deescalating conflicts when they arise. When I was 15 years old I started occasionally farm/house sitting for a family with dogs, horses, and a cat, and caring for all of the animals there during my stay. With them I have worked daytime hours as well as overnight stays for a few days at a time so they could take trips out of state. In my adult life I have branched out, first with Rover a few years ago, and then with expanding farther into launching my private pet care business at the beginning of 2024 while still maintaining my presence on Rover. This means I have lots of availability to care for your pets, but for house-sitting in particular it is best to reach out significantly in advance to ensure I can fit you in! Sunday bookings are restricted to things that *must* occur on that day in order for me to try to have some level of work life balance. I take utmost care to keep animals in my care safe and properly contained. I make sure to follow whatever rules and structures are in place for the animals to ensure their safety. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, unsafe things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).
About: I'm a genuine dog lover! I've always trained my dogs on basic tricks and commands.I'm aware that dogs have their own personalities, fears, and strengths. I work part-time. I have a flexible schedule. I'm open to having dogs in my house throughout the week and some weekends, if needed, and also just walks. I don't have a fenced yard. However, I will be with them out in my yard to assure a safe environment. I'll take them hiking or for walks around my area. They are welcome inside my house to sleep and rest.
