This was my first time using her services for my dog Chloe, and I must admit, I was initially very nervous about leaving her with someone, as I had never left her in the care of another person before. Chloe, who is a rescue and has a history as a breeder dog, is typically very cautious around new people. But, to my delight, Chloe was calm and even allowed Natalie to touch her, which was a huge step. About: I’ve always been around dogs and got my own dog 8 years ago. I have have always taken care of dogs in my neighborhood for long amount of time or for even just to feed or let out. I have a full time job Monday thru Thursday but I’m free on the weekends. I’m most likely will not be available for major holidays . I live in a new apartment building that has a small dog park. I usually take my dog on hikes or walks around the neighborhood.

About: Growing up I’ve had pets ranging from dogs to reptiles. Spending time and taking care of them was never a job but a passion. From volunteering at animal shelters at a young age to pet sitting for friends and family, I continue to express my love and care for animals. I also have a 16 year old Portuguese Water Dog at home and she is my world! I currently work full time from 8am to 4pm Mon-Fri. Sitting for pets before and after my work hours on those days is no problem of mine if the owner is ok with them spending that period of time alone. That being said I am also able to spend nights at owners homes on said weekdays. I live in a private neighborhood with great dog walking roads and trails. About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.

I practice Eastern techniques of energy work (qi qong and martial arts) and I am a certified Reiki practitioner, so I love to connect with animals as part of that practice (they are great conductors of energy, which is only ever healing and calming for them to experience). My only obligation that takes me out of house are walking other dogs (1 to 3 hours per day) and then the occasional social or other engagement. About: I'm a 53yr old, active woman who spent 15 years as an Animal Control Officer in my local towns and then with my local Sheriff's office. I've fostered and adopted numerous rescues and am a huge animal advocate. Caring for other people's animals has always been my dream and now I'm doing it. I'm available almost any day at any time. I'm happy to stay with your pets or just stop in for a visit. I do not offer pet sitting in my home as my two rescues do not do well with other dogs. I will adhere to your wants and rules for your animals. I love my pets, and I will treat yours as if they are my own. About: I’ve always been around dogs and got my own dog 8 years ago. I have have always taken care of dogs in my neighborhood for long amount of time or for even just to feed or let out. I have a full time job Monday thru Thursday but I’m free on the weekends. I’m most likely will not be available for major holidays . I live in a new apartment building that has a small dog park. I usually take my dog on hikes or walks around the neighborhood.

About: I recently lost my 14 y/o Coonhound (Jazzy) She was the bestest girl in the world, and the best friend anyone could ask for. I am not ready for another dog just yet, but I would love to have another heartbeat in the house. My schedule is very flexible, in the event that I have to run some errands, I am happy to take your dog for a car ride with me. I live in a quiet neighborhood with a large backyard and in close proximity to trails for long walks that I often frequent.
