We were nervous to leave her, but they sent videos of her happily eating minutes after we left and of her playing with the other dogs soon after. They were also so accommodating. About: Currently I am between caregiving clients trying to decide what my next move is. I was born into an animal loving family, extended family, etc. I am 59 years old and have never been without at least a cat or two. I've also had 2 of my own dogs since 2005. My last senior dog passed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Born in Connecticut, lived for 45 years in Maryland and now I am living in Maine where I love it! One reason I fell in love with Maine is you can bring your dog almost anywhere here. They are a pet loving no-kill state! I have administered just about every kind of pet med out there. Every single pet has their own personality and I am very patient to learn that personality so we will become friends. I have a pretty open schedule with no real deadlines, so when ever your pets need walks, feeding, medications or just spend time with them, I am there. My own pets get feed twice a day. The time varies depending on my pet sitting schedule. But usually Its about 10am and 7pm. Whatever instructions left for me for a pet sit, I will follow to the letter. I will ask questions or text later to make sure I understand everything your pet needs. I've never run into an animal not liking me, but I am very aware of them not be comfortable with me at first. That can be stressful for them of course, so its very important that their care instructions are followed to keep them as anxiety free as possible.

Dashy is 16 year old Dashhound who was severely neglected and abandoned at 13 and Beau now 8 is a Rat Terrier mix adopted as a puppy. Both boys are very friendly, happy, healthy and quite spoiled. I also have my Pet CPR & First Aid cert from Red Cross as well as some behavioral training. I work best senior, handicapped and terminally ill pets though the fee may change depending of medical need. I'm retired and I have full daily availability from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and some night time availability as well as overnights. About: I’ve taken care of dogs cats rabbits and horses ever since I was 10. I’ve cared for new born kittens as well as senior cats at the Humane Society for almost 10 years. And cared for my neighbors’ dogs. From volunteering I’ve learn much about behaviors for both dogs and cats and have discovered I have a talent for working with them. I decided at retiring that I would like to begin in home pet sitting earning a living. I also manage an Airbnb with pets and have had great experiences with both dogs and and cats. I’m available all times but desire at least a week in advance notice. Daily weekly and hourly with breaks when needed for managing my Airbnb. Usually to clean after check out. Also per your needs I will need to have a brief break in the day to drive home to make sure my cats are fed and happy with some play time if I am asked to do overnights. I have 4 cats now. They get fed on special foods on a schedule. When they are eating I clean their cat boxes and when they are finished, I clean their bowls. Before they begin their daily naps , I play with each of them. They range in age from 19 to 1 yr. I also check their water bowls throughout the day or night depending. I can give them treats anytime. I also have learned various medical skills and hope to go back to school for a third degree as a vet tech and if life allows veterinary practice.

I have lived with 4 dogs, two small and two medium, for the last 3 years, so I'm very good about insuring they go out for bathroom breaks and for running. About: I've always had dogs or cats as pets. I currently have 2 dogs now. Dashy is 16 year old Dashhound who was severely neglected and abandoned at 13 and Beau now 8 is a Rat Terrier mix adopted as a puppy. Both boys are very friendly, happy, healthy and quite spoiled. I also have my Pet CPR & First Aid cert from Red Cross as well as some behavioral training. I work best senior, handicapped and terminally ill pets though the fee may change depending of medical need. I'm retired and I have full daily availability from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and some night time availability as well as overnights. I have a fenced/blocked back yard, another fur baby and plenty of room for them to play. Grass, gazebo and lawn Charis for them! The inside is spacious and safe for dogs and dog friendly cats.
