“Rachel provided wonderful care for our three dogs and 2 cats while we were away. She stopped by for drop-in visits and stayed for two overnights. She was very professional and continued to provide photo and written updates through the Rover app. She was attentive to the needs and individual personalities of our pets. Our pets appeared relaxed and happy under her care. We definitely recommend Rachel's services and would love to have her sit for us again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of cats since i was around 13. It hasn’t been professional until about 4 years ago. I love all 4 of my cats dearly. If you trust me with your cat you won’t be disappointed!

“Carla provided exceptional care for our cat during our 2-week trip. Communication was excellent and the daily photos of our cat assured us that all was well. Our cat is very emotionally expressive and she looked 100% happy to be in Carla's lap. We will definitely hire Carla again the next time we need a sitter.”

About: My name is Andreas, and I am a Maine/NYC-based actor/singer/dancer/dog-lover! I grew up in the beautiful, rural forests of Maine, and my family always had at least two dogs in our family while growing up! I have cared for dogs my whole life, and I have done it professionally for over 10 years. I am passionate about health/fitness, and I will happily share my healthy habits with your best friend! Whether on a walk, on a run, cuddling on the couch, feeding your pet breakfast/dinner, I will always care for Man's Best Friend with my 100% heart. Your pup will be in safe paws with me! Fun fact: I have played "MAX" (The Grinch's dog!) on The Broadway National Tour of How The Grinch Stole Christmas: The Musical for three years, so I know the mind of a dog quite well...! I’m currently working part-time with plenty of time for walking, sitting, boarding, playing, and taking care of pets! I have various clients who I work with independently but am happy to accept new Rover clients. I have taken care of a wide variety of dogs with various needs! Very happy to go case-by-case and make sure that you feel your best friend is getting all the care and attention they need. Whether it’s long nature adventures, or cuddling on the couch, I’m happy to spend quality time with your pet.

“Melissa sat our four cats while we were out of town for the weekend and she did an excellent job. She was communicative and she was attentive to our pets. We’ve always had some minor issues with them at meal time; Melissa is the one who figured out a viable solution. We so appreciate her effort and care. We’ll definitely be calling on Melissa again and have no hesitation in recommending her for your pet sitting needs.”

“Nancy was great! We are traveling through Bingham and needed a sitter while we rafted the Kennebec. We appreciated her responsiveness and the tips on local places. Most especially we appreciated that she decided to drive the dogs back to our campsite while she was out enjoying the Fall colors. Thanks so much!”

About: I have been around animals all my life, ranging from animals like horses to birds. I have cared for elderly/injured animals before, who have needed supports walking/using the restroom/feeding. Through family and friends I’ve watched over many pets! I currently nanny for a family, which leaves me with a very flexible schedule especially during the school year!I have free hours throughout the day ,everyday! I can handle special requests for animals, private areas for walking/playing. I’d treat each animal like my own, respecting certain boundaries that there may be.

About: As a child, my household had many pets through the years, which led me to volunteer at an animal shelter while in college. Around that time I also worked with animals, at a pet shop and later with a conservation group. I adore pets and always insure they feel safe and comfortable with me. I am able to read a their body language and communicate well both verbally and nonverbally. I have attended dog training classes, read multiple books about caring for pets, and watched videos for further education. At the same time, every animal is different and has their own unique personality, and it’s a joy and reward to get to know each one. I have had pets in the past, but because I travel often and enjoy pet sitting so much I find just as much joy in taking care of my clients' animals! Currently I am converting a van into a camper to continue traveling the country and meeting as many cool cats (and dogs!) as I can :) While I may not be able to provide sitting services in every location long term, I believe I bring a love of animals and joy to each sit that makes sure every pet I care for is happy and each client feels peace of mind while they are away! I am self-employed, so my schedule is quite flexible to accommodate your pets' usual routines! I may be in and out throughout the day, but I always discuss first what is normal for your pet and how I can best replicate their home life. I care for pets in my clients' homes, and I follow all written/verbal instructions given to me on pet & home care. I treat the animals and home as if they were my own, and if I have any questions I never hesitate to reach out. I am a tidy person, often a homebody in the evenings, and maintain a high level of respect for both my clients and their lovely pets.

“Melissa was great! She walked our two 70lb pit bulls Skye and Blue 4 days in a row. She was great communicating the times she was going to walk them and showing up on time. She sent pictures each walk with the map and distance of the walks. We would definitely hire Melissa again to walk Skye and Blue. Highly recommended!, Thank you Melissa!”
