Highly-rated overnight sitters - Sandy Point
“We couldn’t have been happier boarding with Charlotte while we were visiting Acadia! She’s a lovely person and gave our lab, Mabel, exactly the home away from home experience we hoped for (and arguably even more fun!) We didn’t have a moment’s worry knowing that Mabel was in the best of hands. We will definitely be back!”

“Our dogs seemed to really enjoy their time with Joseph and were well taken care of during their stay. Joseph was great at staying in communication and sent many updates while we were away.”

“Amber was an incredible dog sitter! She took such great care of our dog Daisy, and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We really appreciated the daily updates and photos, and it was clear Daisy was getting spoiled with plenty of walks, love, treats and attention. Amber truly went above and beyond we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! I highly recommend trusting Amber with your pup!”

“Thank you Danielle!! Spice and Coco have indicated that they had a great time. We are so thankful to have found you! It made our trip so much easier to go worry free. The girls seemed very relaxed and every picture you sent over our trip, showed how happy they were. Your attitude during the entire stay they had, was over the top. When our return flight was canceled, and it added an extra day to our trip, you again made us feel at ease. Can't thank you enough, and would use you again on our return next summer. Pat, Sue, Spice and Coco.”

“My Australian Shepherd, Remi, had a great time with Melissa. I know Remi was well cared for and incorporated into their family activities including walks and hikes. I know Remi will be excited to return for another visit.”

“Nancy was fantastic and so super sweet! Very responsive when we needed to communicate and easy to work with for drop off/pick up logistics. She sent us some pictures of our happy pup during our time away and we felt he was in great hands the whole time.”

“Nieves was amazing! I have always relied on family to watch any dogs I own but I stepped out of my comfort zone and was thoroughly impressed. Murphy and Chloe were so well taken care of by Nieves and her boyfriend. I received photos and video updates throughout their stay. It made being away from them so much easier. They were so loved!! We will be trusting them with our fur babies in the future for sure!!”

About: As a pet lover for my entire life, I am very open to who I will take in. I have taken care of my family’s dogs and cats. As well as friends’ pets as well. Not just our small pets. I worked on my family farm in the middle of Maine near Dover-Foxcroft. That included Horses, chickens, occasionally some cows and donkeys. I would love to take care of your pets for whenever you need me to. Just give me any details about them. Medical, whether they are in heat, spayed or neutered. I will be sure to accommodate accordingly. You can contact me via email, call, or text. For those who need service at their home, I would gladly organize that with you as well. Small, medium and large pets are all welcomed. As for cancellations and early pickups, I will do my best to be as flexible as I can. As this is for the pet, not the money. ❤️🐾 I currently work part time and I’m a mom of a little boy. I have pets of my own that I take care of on a daily basis. I have integrated my son into my pets lives and they’re all best friends. Being with animals has always been a major part of my life! Currently not offering in home services, or house sitting services. However, when checking in or walking pups I do make sure water bowl is filled if I notice it’s low and I make sure to bring a pop up water bowl on long walks in the summer.
“Our 11 month old, rambunctious cavalier King Charles spaniel had a wonderful vacation with Emily and Leroy! She went to the beach, on wonderful walks, and had great lap naps. She will definitely be back to visit her new friends the next time we go out of town.”

“Debbie has a safe and wonderful set up for boarding your dog. My dog Peter loved it there. He played and socialized with other dogs and was very well cared for. Debbie was great about updates and sending pics and videos of our boy each day! Will definitely board Peter with Debbie again!”

“Valerie and her family were so wonderful. We were so bummed to leave our pup for his first Christmas but she made it special for him and welcomed him as part of the family in their gorgeous home. We got regular updates and check ins. He loved romping in the snow with his new best friend, their family yellow lab. We highly recommend Valerie and will be using her again!”

“My pup has had issues with eating his food but Nicole was patient and got him to eat! I was nervous taking him to a sitter since he didn’t feel well, but I trust Nicole so much!!”

About: Your pets didn’t book the trip. They still expect room service. I provide calm, reliable care for cats, dogs, small animals, chickens, and the occasional household plant that has been left in my emotional custody. Most pets do best when their routine stays familiar, so I keep things simple: food, water, walks, litter, meds as instructed, photos, updates, and a steady human who shows up when she says she will. Many of my clients are away for a weekend, a work trip, a vacation, or a longer stay in Maine. Whether you live here year-round, are visiting for the season, or are here temporarily, I help keep pets settled while their people are away. I’m especially comfortable with cats, senior pets, shy pets, multi-pet homes, and animals who need patience before they decide I’m acceptable. HOUSE SITTING / OVERNIGHT CARE Overnight care is limited and best suited for planned trips, established clients, and pets who need a steady routine. I keep care selective so pets stay comfortable and the house stays sane. Before booking, please share your pet’s routine, personality, medical needs, quirks, and anything they believe is legally theirs. DROP-IN VISITS Best for cats, dogs, small animals, chickens, and pets who prefer their own home and their own couch rules. Visits may include feeding, fresh water, litter, outdoor breaks, medications as instructed, basic tidy-up, and photo updates. Extended visits may be recommended for multiple pets, senior pets, or more involved routines. DOGGY DAY CARE Small-group day care is offered on a limited basis for dogs I already know. Care is calm, structured, supervised, and not a chaotic free-for-all. This is not a high-volume facility-style service. I plan my schedule intentionally to support well-defined care needs and clear timelines. This allows me to provide consistent, attentive care whether you’re traveling nearby or farther from home. Safety and consistency are always a priority. I follow established routines, respect household instructions, and pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, or comfort. Clear communication helps ensure a smooth experience while you’re away.
“I am so grateful for Bethany and her family for the loving care they give to my Australian shepherd, Remi. They care for her and treat her as part of the family. My affection and confidence may best be expressed by sharing that Bethany is listed in my contacts as “ Remi’s Rover Mom. “ I highly recommend 🙂🙏🐕”

“Ellie and Sarah are great! Their house has a great setup for dogs with a fenced in area in the yard. They were super responsive to my messages, provided pictures, and asked questions of their own to make sure they provided my pets with excellent care. They were also flexible with my pickup time when my travel plans changed due to weather. Would book again!”

“My young shepherd had a great time with Kate. She got long walks and lots of attention and a nice family atmosphere. Kate was really good at sending updates and photos every day and I had no worries while I was out of town.”

“Erika was so wonderful! She was available last minute and got me out of a pinch! She was so loving to my fur baby and sent me daily updates with a picture that made me feel so much better than leaving her with a typical kennel. I will most definitely recommend her to anyone and will use her again in the future!”

Cat caregivers near you - Sandy Point
About: Hello! I'm Jess - I'm from Northern California and moved to Maine last year. Growing up we always had dogs (and sometimes cats), so I learned to take care of pets from a young age. I was the go-to person in my neighborhood for pet-sitting and dog-walking. Currently I have one pup - Bodhi, a 2.5 year old black lab. I look forward to meeting you & your fur babies! I'm currently only working through Rover, so my schedule is very flexible right now! I'm available for drop-ins, all-day stays and overnights, as well as for long-term pet-sitting in your home. I love making every animal feel cared for - from playing with them, going on long walks outside, providing pets and cuddles, giving them occasional treats, etc. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I also love to send little text and video updates, so you can check in on them while you're away. I've even done FaceTimes with pets and their owners!
“Alison was great with our three kitties! She kept us updated on how they were doing and sent pictures. We loved that she stayed at the house as they are very social indoor kitties. We would definitely use Alison again!”

“Taylor is great! Very organized , communicative and accommodating ! We book drop ins with her for our lil kitty when we are away so he is not alone the whole time. . Milo loves playing on the floor with her and is happy to see her when she arrives. We will definitely book again!”

“Libby was easy to work with. It was nice to be able to leave town unexpectedly and have the peace of mind that my high maintenance kitties would get all of their medications. They must have liked Libby, because they barely acted like they missed me at all whe. I got home.”

“What a joy! Katie saved the day when I needed last minute Christmas cat care. She came through despite there being two snow storms! I appreciate all of the pictures she sent of Kitty Boy. She did a wonderful job keeping him fed and entertained. It was relaxing knowing he was in good hands, and equally great to come home to a spotless house and a happy cat. Thanks Katie :-)”

“Emma was a very conscientious and caring choice for our cat. She monitored him during her visits and alerted us to a possible health issue. We were able to schedule a vet appointment soon after we returned. We appreciated the communication that she provided.”

About: I provide calm, patient, and detail oriented care tailored specifically to cats and their unique personalities. I understand that cats thrive on routine and familiar environments, so I take a gentle, respectful approach allowing each cat to set the pace for interaction while ensuring all of their daily needs are met. I’m experienced caring for cats of all temperaments, from social and affectionate to shy, independent, or easily stressed. I pay close attention to subtle changes in behavior, appetite, and litter box habits, which can be early signs of stress or discomfort. I’m comfortable administering medications when needed, following feeding schedules, providing enrichment and playtime, brushing, and maintaining very clean litter boxes (yes—deep cleaning included). I take pride in keeping your cat’s space tidy, calm, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m dependable and highly communicative, and I provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your cat is safe, relaxed, and well cared for at home.
“Jazlynne was amazing with our kitties! Great communication and she sent us so many pictures of them while they were gone :) would highly recommend her to anyone seeking care for their pets.”

“Lily was great with my two cats and followed a very long set of directions wonderully! Both have daily medications that she was able to give with no problems, and her daily photos and notes let me know how they were doing. She's easy to talk to and very kind, which my cats both picked up on quickly. They aren't usually friendly with newcomers, but they let her pet and play with them almost immediately. Thanks, Lily!”

“Justin and Eva were great. They showed up on time, cleaned up more than we were expecting and gave us plenty of updates on our cats. Our shy cat even started staying in the same room while they were there which is huge. I highly recommend them.”

About: As an avid cat lover, I've had my own cats for well over 10 years. I started working at an animal shelter in 2021 and worked primarily with cats. With that experience, I became very comfortable with taking care of cats, including medicating, feeding and interacting with. I have now worked as a Veterinary Assistant for over 3 years.

About: I have had dogs and other various pets for most of my life. I feel as though I have a strong connection and passionate drive to caring for animals and I really enjoy it. I recently lost my dog of six years so it’s been quite lonely around the house without him! I work from home so I can keep an eye on your dog throughout the day and utilize my break time to take them outside. I have a detached fenced in yard, so they’ll get plenty of exercise. I have room for a crate if that is needed as well.

About: I have 20 years of hands-on animal care experience, and I actually love being around them, and putting my skills to good use. They bring me great joy, and I try to reciprocate that. I would love to work locally so I am able to work my own hours around my grandsons educational needs, while providing income by doing what I love. I have my Veterinary Assistant certificate, and have experience in applying some medications. I am aware of the drastic New England temperatures, as I've lived her all my life, and I take that into great consideration when caring for the animals entrusted in my care. I appreciate your consideration. Thank you for your time. I am available seven days a week, 24/7 I can work a schedule with you, or be on call. I will send you pictures and updates, you can call to check in at anytime at all. I have always practiced safety first when working with animals. I truly love them all, and will take necessary precautions to prevent anything negative happening. I make them feel at home while in my care, they are allowed free range of my home. I know some dogs can go unleashed, but I do NOT let them off leash while in my care. I apologize for this, but I will walk them on a leash as many times as they like!

“Justin and Eva were very happy and enthusiastic about meeting my dog, Bruce. They listened to all my recommendations and did a successful 1 hour walk, even in the rain! Very pleasant people to work with.”

“Charlotte is amazing. She took care of our two dogs over our wedding weekend and made everything so seamless. Charlotte was so accommodating to make sure the dogs had great walks, were fed, and happy, and kept us updated along the way. She understood how busy we were and jumped right in to make our lives easier and allow us to focus on all of the wedding events. I can’t recommend Charlotte enough.”

About: I am a young adult who has a passion for working with animals. I have had pets my entire life and recently got my own puppy, whom I’ve been working with. I would love to work with your animals as well and get more experience. This is my passion and a talent that I would love to develop. I am looking to get a career in working with animals and would love the experience. I have a part-time job, but it is very flexible so I pretty much have all availability. I will be available most days as long as scheduled ahead of time. I live in a large field away from roads, and I have a dog friendly puppy and the ability to crate dogs if they need space apart. I will abide by the clients wishes how they would like me to care for their pets.
“Jazlynne was our saving grace! When our care fell through, Jazlynne excitedly agreed to help care for our dog while we got some photos taken in Acadia. Her communication was 10/10, she was friendly, punctual, and incredibly helpful! I would absolutely recommend her.”

About: Belmont, Maine | Experienced Pet Sitter | Farm Animal Friendly | Reiki-Calming Pet Sessions Hi, I’m Geoffery—a lifelong animal caregiver with 20+ years of hands-on experience caring for pets and farm animals alike. I grew up on a farm and have spent my life surrounded by animals of all kinds, offering everything from basic pet sitting and walks to drop-in visits, long-term fostering, and livestock care. I specialize in daytime house sitting, split AM/PM visits, and care for farm animals, senior pets, and anxious companions. Whether I’m tending to dogs, cats, pigs, or cows, I approach every animal with calm presence, kindness, and deep understanding. ⸻ I offer: • Drop-in visits (20–60 min) • Day-sitting at your home (9am–5pm) • AM/PM split visits • Light livestock care (pigs, cows, goats) • Medication, special diets, senior support • Walks, enrichment, snuggles, and updates • Optional Reiki-Calming Sessions for anxiety relief, post-surgery recovery, or general well-being My clients often say their pets are calm, happy, and tired after time with me—because I don’t just stop in, I bond, I engage, and I treat your animals like family. I also send photos, updates, and notes to keep you in the loop and reassured while you’re away. ⸻ My Background: • CNA with 10+ years in professional caregiving • Raised on a working farm with animal husbandry experience • Foster caregiver for struggling families’ pets • Comfortable with reactive or high-energy dogs • Reiki practitioner with gentle touch and energy healing experience • Available for last-minute or weekend requests when possible ⸻ What Sets Me Apart: • I provide extended care (not just 15-minute visits) • Comfortable with non-traditional animals (livestock, senior, special needs) • I work with clients to create custom plans—every pet is different • I’m home full-time and focus solely on animal care and community healing ⸻ Let’s Connect: Send a message with your pet’s name(s), needs, and ideal schedule. I’d love to meet them—and I’ll treat your home and animals with the same care I give my own. Schedule I run my own full-time pet care and healing business based out of my home in Belmont, Maine. This means I’m highly flexible and available throughout the day for visits, walking, house-sitting, and last-minute requests. Because I focus solely on this work, I give your pets my full attention, energy, and presence. Safety, Trust & Environment I care for animals in their own homes, where they feel safest and most comfortable. Every animal deserves to be treated with kindness, respect, and intuitive understanding—and that starts with meeting them on familiar ground. When I enter your home, I bring a calm, grounded presence. I follow your pet’s existing routine as closely as possible while gently introducing enrichment, affection, and companionship. Whether your dog loves fetch in the yard, your cat prefers a quiet window perch, or your livestock need a gentle hand and clear communication, I adjust to meet their energy and needs. I specialize in tending senior pets, anxious or reactive animals, and pets with special diets or medications. I also offer Reiki calming sessions—gentle energy work that helps soothe nerves, balance energy, and promote well-being.

Murphy and Chloe were so well taken care of by Nieves and her boyfriend. I received photos and video updates throughout their stay. It made being away from them so much easier. They were so loved!! We will be trusting them with our fur babies in the future for sure!!”

About: What truly sets me apart is that dog care isn’t just a service I offer, it’s a central part of my everyday life! I’ve raised dogs from day one, all the way through their golden years. I am incredibly comfortable with all life stages. Having owned and loved dogs my entire life, I have a deep, intuitive understanding of canine behavior, and what it takes to keep a pup feeling secure when their owner is away or when they are in a new environment. I am currently a proud dog mom to two pups of my own, meaning my home is already a fully equipped, dog friendly environment, where your pet can seamlessly blend into my safe and comfortable daily routine. I am an avid outdoor enthusiast, which means your dog won't just be letting themselves out into a yard, they will be getting true mental and physical exercise. From neighborhood strolls to exploring fresh air trails, I love keeping dogs active, stimulated, and happy. If your dog has energy to burn, they will find the perfect match here! As a stay at home mom, my days are spent right here at home, which gives me incredible flexibility. Pet care isn’t something I have to rush through before or after a work shift. It is naturally woven right into the heart of my daily family routine. I am always around, so your pup will benefit from constant supervision, a predictable schedule, and plenty of companionship. My approach to pet care is rooted in safety, structure, and treating your dog exactly like a member of my own family. Safety is my top priority. If being boarded at my home, I have a fully fenced in yard where your dog can run, and play completely securely under my close supervision. During my pop in visits, I handle all the essentials, including walking, feeding, refreshing water bowls, and managing potty breaks. You will always receive a quick update and a photo, so you can have total peace of mind knowing exactly how much fun your pet is having!
